Just add 5 to both of their age 18+5 = 23, 24+5 = 29.
23 + 29 = 52

Hi po. May napansin po ako. Sa first problem Sabi "thrice as old" so 3x po ang equivalent. Sa 2nd problem is "6 yrs older" so x+6 po ang equivalent. Di po ba same meaning ng # as old at # older? Ano po hint kung kailan gagamit ng x+2 at 2x just like the two different problems. Sana masagot po

Mathematical sentence po thrice means times 3 of the number which give us 3x, while 6 years older means sum, it doesn't mention twice or 2 times more older than x, it only states 6 year older so the given should be x+6.
