I get his high salary and prolonged contract. But he is a gritty, aggressive player and I do believe he’s a top 4 defenseman. Playing injured all playoffs and still taking the body every change he gets. I am a Trouba fan! He’s exactly what they need on the back line. Without him who is their tough/aggressive defenseman? There is none! Schneider is decent but I still give the edge to Trouba by far. Miller in my opinion is big and soft! All he does is turnover the puck and he doesn’t defend his net. He’s always up by the blue line and skating in circles. I wish they would move on from him!

Zibanjed is the guy who has to go! He’s as soft as it gets! I am not exactly sure what Drury is trying to do here? Sign Whom? Trade for whom? He dumped Goodrow who plays with grit and scored 6 goals in the playoffs. He is now trying to dump his captain who defends all his teammates and is physical every shift. Zibanjed Is a power play specialist. Never scores 5 on 5 and doesn’t hit anyone. He should be moved and this no rrade clause nonsense they have to stop giving out. I think Zibanjed is an $8 million dollar man as well. To sum him up during the closing moments in the Florida series with an empty net Bennett hit him and he stopped playing and was looking to the referee for a penalty as Bennett buries it in the empty net. Instead of hitting back and competing. That did it for me with Zibanjed. Trouba being run out of town isn’t right and Goodrow thrown on the scrap heap also wasn’t right. The real people who should be gone are Zibanjed and or Panarin. Please don’t quote me regular season nonsense stats either.
The Rangers don't choke. They just aren't built for the playoffs. Playoff-built teams have beaten them two of the last three seasons, which means they've been beaten by better teams.

Here’s Trouba’s problem. He played poorly (I’m being uncharacteristically nice) in the playoffs and hurt the team far too many times. He’s also the Captain, which still blows my mind, when I look at guys like Kried’s and Trocheck. So the fans seem eager to see him move on. It’s not going to take much this season and he’ll get boooed mercilessly by the Ranger faithful for the slightest mistake. Should be interesting to watch knowing that your playing on a team that wanted you gone but legally that couldn’t get it done.
Trouba is a problem for everyone involved with this team. It is best for everyone involved if he finds a way to make his family life work (which I COMPLETELY understand) while playing for another team.
Maybe he will get motivated to play better and smarter knowing that alot of fans and now management feel he's not worth the 8 plus million a year. I like him personally and he's big n plays hard but to many mistakes n to slow!
The changes had to be made the team has been playing inconsistently and the players choke at the wrong time. Different stories will be put out there and we will never know for sure the real story. For this story it all boils down to his wives profession.

I didn’t realize you could make an amendment to a contract like that. Figured they already submitted the 15 teams when he originally signed the contract.

The players should shut the hell up if I was drury I’d tell whoever’s upset to waive their NMC they can go this ain’t their god damn country club maybe win or at least get to the final then maybe they would have more reason to be upset I’m so sick of this core just hand the team to the young guys the “core” or “leaders” on this team are absolute clowns. All they know how to do is lose and choke leads in playoffs.
