Will the coconut tree die in the winter with 30ish degrees temperatures? In the summer it's hot like over 100 degrees almost daily but I'm worried about winter

Yes it will, I recommend purchasing frost cloth to cover it in winter or growing it inside of a big greenhouse if you’re lucky enough to have one. There supposedly is a coconut variety from northern India that can take these temperatures but a normal coconut seedling will surely die and mature trees will take a hit.

The way how the nuts it was demonstrated how it was sown and germinated is incorrect. The percentage for germination is 1% only. For dwarf varieties like yellow dwarf, orange dwarf, coco nino, the sweet variety of the dwarf cocnut family has low amount of water that will not be enough til germination of the embryo. Soak the nuts in water for 2 days. Then look for the wider flat portion of the nut and position it on a seedbed without changing the position until it germinates. The water inside the nuts will support the embryo for germination. If you position it away from the embryo portion, the nut has less chance to germinate. Water the nuts morning and afternoon.

I mean there are dwarf breeds. But you can stunt growth by keeping in pot and training but it's still a tree it'd gonna be big. You can order yellow dwarf coconut trees online
