Shout Out to The Connecticut Sun for only being able to have only one day to practice for the playoffs where The Indiana Fever was able to get enough time to prepare for the Playoff; then on top of that The Connecticut Sun weren't able to get a proper facility to train yesterday; they had to share a court with a community center event going on next to them while they were practicing, it was sad.
Hopefully The Connecticut Sun owners gets this team a proper facility to practice and train

Fever fan here, I’m hoping this gets resolved. It’s crazy to think the WNBA doesn’t put enough time and effort into making the best available for every team so the fans can enjoy top level production. It’s a business, why wouldn’t they want to provide enough time and resources to the things that make them money.
I’ve concluded that the WNBA was always failing because they have no idea how to cater to fans. Unless they figure this out, they’ll always need the NBA to pay their bills.

@@Dingle051554 Yeah naturally money talks and I agree. But as far the integrity thing goes, I think that also should have been a money decision. They should be riding this Caitlin Clark wave out as much as they can. Put her on everything, on the banners on the commercials, make her the poster child for the league, while also pumping up the other teams and players alongside.
CC may not always play. She could get injured and sit the bench a whole season and where would the WNBA be then? Not that nobody would watch, but the hype and excitement would be gone. They call it a hype train for a reason, and they should be riding it. I think CC is just going to get better and better and dominate the league, but to not take advantage of it is crazy. Giving the Suns everything they need to make this the best play they could produce should have been a money decision too.
It feels like it’s Caitlin or nothing, and the WNBA is choosing nothing while letting CC carry them.
Connecticut Suns just hit the jackpot in acquiring Mabrey it is always good to see players play happily and it is shown in her aura. I am happy for her
I always said Mabrey was among the best then Skyy stupidly let her go she roves around the court and defends well. Skyy forget Reese and Cardoso feed off the assists and rebounds from gaurds they dont initiate moves.

Most of those losses were early in the season. But they didn't handle the Aces late in the season or the Lynx. That said, those teams are more experienced and more talented.

I think you're mostly referring to CC stans, many of whom don't really understand basketball and view it more as a soap opera - interpersonal drama over the actual sport.
The reality is, the fever went from being the worst team in the league to middle of the pack, with the potential to upset the top teams on a good day. I expect them to lose to the Suns and exit the playoffs, but there's no way the Fever will look at this year as a disappointment given where they started.
@thebestever160 not sure how this is a counterargument against Clark's individual performance, as it's obviously possible to perform well while also losing as a team (this is true in basically every team sport). But you do you I guess lol

If Clark can’t run-and-gun, she’s lost. She has no half court offense...she FOLDS when she has to walk the ball up the court and be a real point guard…on top of that, she doesn’t play spirited defense when a call doesn’t go her way or when she’s not making shots. Wouldn’t want her on my team because she doesn’t have winning intangibles…

Fever do not know how to adjust to situations. The reason why they got this far is because they move fast. But against suns the same strategy wont work they have a solid defense. Fever needs to slow the pace down. The suns are playing old school most of thr buckets comming from under the rim.

Last game the fever looked better without Clark on the floor and today they didn't looked good either. I'm starting to see holes in her game has no defense and no intensity and didn't create her own shot missed a lot of shots. If she wants to be recognized as a top wnba player this is where the top players play their best not their worse! She definitely needs to pick it up she's looked awful last couple of games this is when it counts the most playoff time

Two issues the Fever have had all year have come to bite them: Defensive rebounding and Mitchell & Clarke's on & off ball defense. Unless this team is scoring it is really hard to keep them both on the floor from a defensive standpoint. Tonight they were really ball watching off ball and the Suns made them pay with good shooting. On ball defense is also not great from these girls, and it doesn't help that the Fever don't fight enough when they get in rotation. It is basically one rotation and then they are beat. They just need to stay attached and keep fighting in rotation.

Very simple strategy. Poke the best opposition player in the eye and it’s easy after that. Her intent was to get Clark in the face with her outsized talons. Otherwise her hand would have gone upwards following the arc of the ball. Piss poor refereeing not to call that.

This is what you call playoff experience matters the most. Indiana fever players looks tense and struggling. The problem is they dont have deep bench. 3 players alone cant run your team. They need a veteran allstar to guide them.
Mitchell is a veteran all-star. But the other 2 all-stars are inexperiened in the playoffs. Boston played pretty well. Caitlin was OK but didn't shoot well. She has to learn how to use her moves to get shots closer to the rim and get to the foul line when her shots aren't falling.

Long last. They lost because their back Court couldn't find bucket from the 3. And most were good short. They win or go home for the next 2 days. They could barely get a transition bucket the other team could.
No one doubts CC will likely be one of the greats of the game, but if you watch her on defense, she is clearly the worst defender of all the players on the court, I dont mean rebounds... but she literally walks ou the way or strolls at times

I’m glad Fever don’t have to cheat to win, they’re not desperate and they play basketball the right way. Sun were horrible, constantly fouling poking someone in the eye which by the way is a sending off in most other contact team sports. Hope Caitlin is ok, she was clearly shaken after that, her eye is swollen quite badly. Also stopping the game multiple times because the staff can’t use the clock properly needs to be investigated. Gutted we didn’t see Temi much considering she won the playoffs with the Lions in the WBBL and the Euro League. Boston, Hull, Dantis and Mitchell all played well. First half Fever played brilliantly.
