Its funny because its half term I am actually busier than usual because it means I have more hours at work (Teashop) because we are busier and I've got uni reading and an essay to do! I don’t want your October vlogs to come to an end! I’ve spent the whole month on my sofa with awful “morning” sickness (why do they call it that?!) and have felt so rubbish, but your vlogs have been a lovely soothing distraction and something to look forward to. X
So lovely to see some normality. Here in Belgium the restaurants have closed again, as well as any culture/event things. Shop are open but we're encouraged to stay home and not see people. I'm hoping things will get better for christmas; (It'll definitely be different since there won't be any christmas markets around but I'm hoping we'll at least be allowed to see family
I love radiant heat! In the US, it’s very common to have forced air for heating and ac. If we ever move again, I’m putting radiant heating on top of my list of must haves.
@H yes, I hate it too. We finally installed a pellet stove, and we love it. Our bedrooms stay nice and cool, like we like, and the rooms we want warmed up, we just leave the doors open and the stove heats it all very nicely. Ac on the other hand is wonderful. Living in New Mexico, we have hot summers, and I can’t imagine going without ac 🥵

There's an app I think you'll love as it scans ingredients for microplastics. Someone at my work tipped me about it and i've since scanned basically every product in my bathroom haha! Anyway it's called Beat the Micro Bead and it scans ingredients just like a QR code.

I mean, I'd really be more comfortable with these companies such as Arket reaching out to the likes of NHS or other essential workers right now, to offer them a treat for countless 12-14 hour shifts worked during a pandemic, keeping us and our loved ones alive and comfortable at our worst times. World is such an uneven and u just place sometimes.
Funny you are picking on a smallish clothing brand and an innocent TH-camr such as Rhiannon instead of considering huge companies such as amazon who don't pay tax and dominate over 40% of the UK warehouses. Dont you think it might be more productive to send them a message instead asking them to contribute to the NHS? I'm sure Rhiannon has given many people comfort in these uncertain times in the form of the videos she uploads. I'm sure you wouldn't turn down a lovely coat if in her position. Perhaps unsubscribe if it annoys you so much rather than make a nasty comment with no other reason but to make her feel bad. Hats off to her for being honest about the things she is sent for free.
Also, FYI I work for the NHS. I for one am sure everyone would prefer recognition in the way of fair pay from the government rather than discounts on clothes!
The thing is, brands don't donate clothing or whatever to influencers out of the goodness of their heart, they do it for marketing purposes, and it will come out of a budget as such. An NHS worker isn't going to be able to influence any sales of the product, beyond possibly one or two to friends or family or colleagues, at a push. Whereas influencers must help brands to sell loads of items, especially where there is a repeat relationship. If you're angry at this or want to see what Arket do do from a charitable perspective, it would be a much better use of your time to speak to them directly rather than leaving mean spirited comments to someone who is just accepting a gift.
