By the time you get the currency to craft this bow spicysushi's guide is more than enough. For basic crafting I recommend Ziz, and anything build-specific is usually explained well by the build creator.

Third party tools aside it is very rewarding to learn.
Hell, even the third party tools add a bit to that satisfaction. They’re tools you need to find and learn how to use.
A real life crafter like a smith needs to learn the ins and outs of his anvil, when to use what side of his hammer, etc.
A path of exile crafter needs to become intimately familliar with craft of exile. When to use the bench or horticrafting station. When to use a influenced base and when to slap on an influenced exalt.
It would be nice if these tools were built into the game. Because while its currently working out with craft of exile, awakened POE trade, vorici’s calculator, etc: groups like TFT are quite problematic. And if these individuals ever lose interest or simply can’t maintain these tools anymore: we will have a massive problem.
On the other hand: part of the reason crafting is so dammed profitable and satisfying are these barriers of entry. These difficulties. It makes me feel like i’m part of a more exclusive, more knowledgeable group.
If you need off-colours, consider locking in 1 or two off colours with chrome bench, then use the socket bench to reroll the remaining colours. Very efficient on 4socket items, and can still be helpful on a 6socket item.

So great to see Raxx play POE, always loved him when I played D3. But switched to POE, nice now to see Raxx play POE too! This game is tailored to him, he is going to have so much fun!

OMG Thank you for sharing this video! At last I understand so many things. I always read and listening about crafting but I never had the time or the will to practice them. Thanks for that fragment of knowledge, it was really entertaining.
Craft of exile is your friend : P Also if you ever did have the patience a great way to practice a craft if you're nervous aside from craft of exile is simply go to Standard and burn some currency there if you are a league player. The tabs will be a nightmare but hypothetically you should have tons of leftover currency you can freely burn from previous leagues.
Honestly, it's really good to see a crafting lesson taught to a beginner in this sense. Crafting is the most complicated and well.. profitable thing in POE. People live in their hideouts and become rich beyond belief never even running maps.
Now this is the stuff as a newish player is super helpful of learning how to craft effectively
I have tried this game 3 times, in 2013, then 2016 and then 2022. Each and every time my experience was: "Damn, I am a know-it-all mastermind in Diablo but a 3 week old baby in PoE" Maybe one day I will have the courage, guts and perseverance to master PoE as well :D
It is not easy but one you get over one plateau you just can't help but long to get over the rest of them. Choose a good 'league starter' type build and just take your time and enjoy it. So many streamers make it look like printing currency, but that is something for later. The most fun in the game is before that point IMNSHO.
It's really not that complex a game. It just has a high ceiling. So unless you're aiming to be an omega giga Chad it's not complex.

This is why I play SSF, crafting is half the game for me and it feels so good when you get your build up and running by never having traded once.
I agree! One of the best feelings in SSF for me is when you hit those Aisling slams and stuff. Really makes you feel like you've worked for your gear!

This only works for very mediocre gear tho or you spend 3 month building something...The essences, aislings, divine orb , annuls and all the other stuff required to craft really good items arent obtainable ssf.

Honestly, this bow is one of the easier crafts. It just can be expensive as hell to get the fractured base and doing a bunch of prefix blocking.

Nice job on your bow rax! For using the mouse wheel to spam left click you can use software that comes with your mouse, or I use "X-Mouse Button Control" .

Next time roll the sockets and the color first. Use the alternation orb to take decrease requirements prefix by at least 20 percent. And then craft color of your socket. After u have done it you can do that you have showed in the viedo.

Everyone that was saying they were going to play the game but decided not to because of this.. This is the high end of degen crafting. You don’t ever have to do a craft like this to play the game.
Don't know why people would think that when you can literally buy or trade for any single thing you could want or need. If someone really wanted this bow they don't need to craft it, they could just pay the 85 divine.

Then you offload the burden of understanding the system to someone else. Not arguing against your point that you can just buy the convinience and all is good for you, but at least SOMEONE has to spend the effort to understand all of this, otherwise such items would never come into circulation.
@@deamon6681 Yeah. Well there's no need to argue the point, that's the design that is intended. Any time it was easier to craft like original beast or harvest, it got patched out to make it harder again. They want the power of crafting bis-level items in the hands of the people willing to put the time and effort in. The barrier is literally knowledge and time, there's no artificial gate.

Something that was recently introduced into the game, and without a doubt, extremely underused is the new support gem "Fresh meat" -- I feel it has some extreme potential and no one knows what to do with it. As a solid theory crafter, i would love to see what you come up with.
he's not a theorycrafter in poe, being a good theorycrafter in Diablo or other games can boost your attempts however not in this case, poe has so many interactions, the theorycrafter must know the skill treee, unique jewels to know how to abuse the tree, proper clusters their variants, items skill gem interactions. Right now whatever Raxx would make would be a worse version of something already made.
Also our boy doesnt even know how unveiling works what do you expect of him?
99% of players would need a spicysushi to help them craft in this game, problem is mistakes are so costly so you either have to know exactly what to do or follow a guide and hope they know, thankfully craftofexile exist too. I will say though I watch people like Ziz eye an item that I would probably toss but he knows x is guaranteed if he does x and turns junk into gold, it's experience I simply do not have enough though I've been playing as long as he has.
That "really" when he said craft prefixes cannot be changed again is every single new players word when helped 😅
Crafting in this game makes my head explode. I stick to basics when I enhance gear but if you know the system it's amazing what you can do.

@Sam_Combs start with flasks bro, 2 rolls. Then move onto jewels, 4 rolls. This helps you understand a lot man. Essences and fossils are your best friends 💪
@@FubzyMC yeah I know how to craft in the game. It only took me 1k hours to understand it.
A lot of ez craftfing can be done with buying hard to roll fractured mod, and essence spam until you get a 3rd prefix/suffix whatever your fracture and essence are. and then prefix can not be changed. veiled chaos and then (craft anything to block what you dont want). unveil item, then craft what you want. it's essentially guaranteeing 5/6 mods. this works with every item.
And nothing of it will be good. What’s the point.

Cant believe this guy is actually better at farming currency than I am. Seeing someone in their first league have like 60Div in their stash really puts my 10 to shame with the 2k hours I have.
Dont be discouraged, everyone plays at their own pace. Rax also has a shit ton of outside help with people feeding him info and guiding him through every step of the way.

@@Groove_Gamer completly disagree...because of this "you dont have to compare yourself to others" mentality you have to constantly read comment like this " i have 15k hours in poe but i have never been able to get a mageblood, this game is just rng" while there are dozens of strategies to make dozens of divine orbs per hour for years now, and streamers flooding the market with every information you possibly need to recreate the same...A reasonable person should always realize " yes i wont make 50 mirrors in one week like empys team but i surely can make 100 divines in a week if i dedicate 10 hours to actually farming at the endgame...

Be carefull with fusings, in Legion league when you could get even 48% quality it took me 7500 fusings to link my 48% quality two hander. Since then I'm always paying 1500 fusings at the bench :)

You don't really need to do this stuff to play the game, you can buy an already made one with just a bit more money saved up.
You can play without giving a single F to high end game crafting like this bow.

POE2 will have the same systems, if not more advanced systems lol
Try out PoE 1 to get a hang of all the systems. It's a deep learning curve but very rewarding if you understand things. And it will help you out in PoE2 since it will use most of the systems of PoE 1. Don't be afraid of the complexity :)

Im new to POE so can someone correct me if im wrong… chaos orbs and divines stack for better mods or is it RNG? I’m confuse when people say 70 divines, 200 chaos orbs etc. Is that the set amount you need to use for some mods or is it RNG?
So like when I start rolling my gear, Spicysushi will just show up right? This did help though. BTW getting the Syndicate craft isn't too hard SSF or just on your own. Betrayal is kind of fun though maybe not the most profitable.

Not really? this craft is really simple. Spam Essences til your prefixes are all ele dmg good tiers. Do prefixes cannot be changed craft, spam veiled chaos orbs til you hit attack speed, Craft crit chance. Done.
complicated mean theres a lot of content, comparing to other aRPG competitor like Diablo 4, a lot of content is very much prefer for the majority of people
Oddly enough when I did the horticulture method, it rerolled all of my prefixes and basically cost me 2 div.

You buy it or farm a fracturing orb and hope you get lucky
you buy the bow base you spam whatever method you prefer , chaos or alc scour or whatever else creates rares until you hit bow 2 arrows - you annul down to rare with only 4 mods - since its mathematically a 1/4 chance you prepare 4 bows - you buy 4 fracturing orbs - u use them and maybe hit 1 maybe 2 or maybe you cry and go again.

Yo, when you have 3 suf and 2 pref and you wanna remove suff and add pref - just do beastcraft "add pref, remove random suf"
If u are talking about the bow he is crafting, u cant Beastcraft "add prefix, Remove Suffix" cuz he wants to Reforge lightning to guarantee a lightning mod on the bow.
I was somewhat interested in trying POE again after watching the beginner guide (excellent guide btw). After watching this, I'm not even slightly remotely interested anymore. Not a slight on the game though, I'm sure it's awesome for those who can deal with such bloat, complexity and unintuitive systems. Warframe has this same problem when you try and come back into it after a long period away, it's incredibly time consuming and complicated. I feel like developers could do a lot more to make games like these still be quite intuitive though, they just don't bother because I think they can't view the game from a beginners perspective.
i just started poe today, and after seeing stuff like this imma just play till i get stuck somewhere in the campaign and call it a day. Its nice for people who want to dedicate time to it, but for me its just too much of an effort. Hope POE2 is not as complicated.
You still can enjoy the campaign and early mapping / other league mechanics. Sure, you probably won't hit the biggest zoom zoom builds, but you can already have something that functions well enough for whatever point you stop the game at (for reference, I stopped at T9 maps, not because I couldn't go further, but because I'm getting a bit bored of the build I'm playing).
Hopefully POE2 will be better for a wider audience. People who love POE1 will still have POE1, meanwhile POE2 is their chance at potentially getting more people in.
