Question- your first reading showed 9.2 subcool and high superheat, but when you started adding, the subcool was like 5. What happened there? Was the early subcool before it had a chance to run? Is it a TXV or piston?
@@realSamAndrew temperatures will change when adding. After adding give it 15 minutes. I think what was happened is to much hot gas mixture and not enough liquid. When I added it gave it more liquid that changed the temperature. I always look at gauges like suction side means issue at evaporator and liquid side means issue at condenser.
@@Rhodesrepairllc but 9.2 subcool is not very low. And it was even lower after adding refrigerant. That's weird, no? That's why I asked if it was TXV or piston. And the video doesn't show it, but do you remember what the final superheat number was after you finished and it ran a little? Thanks.
@@realSamAndrew I don’t remember. We are schedule to go back and perform high pressure leak check. It was a TXV. I have seen multiple do this for some reason. Not sure if it is because it goes up 4 stories and maybe oil is getting trapped.
You don’t think the tank over fans restricts air flow and skews the numbers?
Do not you think resting the tank on the fan skews the numbers bc it restrict the fans air flow
Filter clean?
@@robmcshane3260 yea I checked it. One of the first things in every call.
