Amount of Carbon to Use
It is typically recommended that you use around 2 cups of carbon per 55 gallons. However, you may have to use less or more than this amount depending on your filtration system and the quality of the carbon.
You will need to replace your carbon every 3-4 days and few good quality carbon even work for 2-4 weeks as it will become deactivated after this time. However, the time it takes for your carbon to deactivate will depend largely upon your specific setup

Hi Kavish, i hv 4 ft tank almost of 70 gallons. Main source of is bored ground water here. Cant use RO or Distilled water in that large amount.
So which water conditions should i use to remove heavy metal ions to make it soft?

@@Aquariumhobby without arowana is the best option bcoz you can also keep sand shifters like corydoras and goby and small fishes like cardinal tetra, rummy nose tetra, and auto cinclus catfish with some hardy plants which can survive on driftwood

You can reuse the resin by some chemical process
Yes. As they are cations and anions, it can be recharged with sodium hydroxide and hydrochloric acid. But there is a proper method to follow..
