Moxie Festival 2024 mural time-lapse

The 2024 Moxie Festival! This event is always a ton of fun and this year was no different. There was a great turn out of people, lots of delicious food truck options, a car show, fantastic live-music, a Moxie chugging contest and much more. Located in the heart if Lisbon Falls here in Maine, this event is most certainly a "local favorite" and it is easy to tell.
This year I wanted to focus more on the "natural habitat" of the classic Moxie can that can be seen in the hands of thousands of festival goers. I chose to paint a photorealistic scene of cans of Moxie sitting in a frost bath of ice. I really enjoyed adding the water droplets to the cans (one of my favorite signature details) as well as creating some moments of transparency in the ice where the cans and Moxie logo could be seen through certain ice chunks in the foreground of the mural.
Thank you to Aline (and her family for helping me set up the wall on the second day) and Kate as well as the rest of the Moxie Festival staff and volunteers. I also want to sincerely thank Tyler and his family of Restorations Home Remodeling in Lisbon Maine for sponsoring the mural painting again this year, making it 2 consecutive years of their sponsorship being the reason I was able to paint such a wild mural throughout the festival.
