Nice review. I wish it had real physical buttons. The 40hz roll off hopefully can be fixed a little with the custom EQ by bumping up 31hz. I love that this has decent Bluetooth AptX sound and it can be a transmitter or receiver. I am making a little DIY Bluetooth speaker with this so I can use FLAC files and playlists and also stream from my phone just like any other BT speaker.
in recent FW versions you can use volume buttons as FW/REV. as for bass rolloff, in 1.01 FW it was tuned a bit, this FW has more bass, but it became more muddy
Hidizs AP60 or Shanling M1? Which would you recommend in terms of sound quality, strong build and convenience? Or any other best DAP's out there within the price range? I mostly listen to all types of music, can be punk, rock, acoustics, EDM, live recordings, alternative and indie. Also, I'm quite OC when it comes in organizing my music. I want to see album arts, lyrics and other details. Thank you!
Shanling M1 is better then 1st gen of AP60, but AP60-II is a bit better both DAPs have similar FW, so in terms of music organization, covers display, etc. they are almost equal
Hi porta! Most of us have thousands of songs in storage. Do you have any advise on how to make a playlist or how to listen to favorite music on DAP's like this that don't have search bar?
I'm using media library function, present on vast majority of devices, it's pretty convenient. Also I'm using 64 Gb cards, so I don't have too many music. I'm organizing everything into Artist/Album folders hierarchy, so even on DAPs without media library I can find what I want quickly. But I'm usually listening music by albums
does this have optical out? im interested in a music transport for my dac amps because dac amps drain a phones battery this looks veey interesting ..great vid

мощности не хватает тем, кто слушает что-то более тугое чем чувствительные IEM. наушники бывают разные, и многим 35 милливатт на канал может и не хватить
наушники подбираются не к плееру, а к вашим вкусовым и стилистическим предпочтениям, поэтому вам надо провести самостоятельную работу по сужению круга возможных вариантов
it's not touchscreen, unfortunately. just sensor buttons under the screen. but they aren't really comfortable. luckily, in recent FW you can navigate between tracks via long press of volume buttons
It's always funny to me how a $90 gadget from a Chinese company comes with more accessories than the $700 stuff from Sony and Apple.
and it sound better then Sony or Apple :)

yep, nice. for this price you can also get xDuoo X3 - sonically it's better, but UI is worse and no BT
