After I watched this reaction, I regret it. They have absolutely no clue. It's a classic 90s dance song. I was 5 years old back then and still love it. Way better than the crap today!!!
It’s kinda sad how utterly clueless you two are, this was MASSIVE and came at the end of acid house where people were looking for something and had an open mind in clothes and music
I can sadly say that I have probably watched 2 dozen reaction videos to this song and I can realistically say that this is the 1st time that the reaction video was saying that they hated it
This music and style was huge in the clubs in 1990. The music(not this song in particular) was so much better than all the predictable hip hop trap crap of today. Deee-Lite was a huge underground dance group with a major worldwide following that still gets talked about today. Oddly this song is their biggest hit that gets played in so many movies, commercials, etc. While every bride in America seems to play this at their receptions, this song is considered the mainstream and prolly the last track a Deee-Lite fan would cue up. World Clique was their debut album. Get it. It’s still relevant today with people in the know and highly influential. They have so many other great tracks that put this one to shame though.
What's actually sad is these millennials actually think they have reality figured out, especially when it comes to music. This is why I weep for the future.
The girl is Lady Kier she was actually a well known club DJ and you are so clueless cause this music was very much 90's club and rave music. The other two guys in the video were also well renowned club DJ's as well and actually this particular group was more about the LGBTQ scene instead of the straight culture scene.
Don't blame it on this whole generation I hate when y'all do that these are just too unculture individuals who likes the standard obviously and don't like going out of their bubble's
@@lejla4418The "generation disconnect" comment relates to these two only, but I am sure that there are many others just like them. Hope you enjoyed dee-lite, because when this song came out it fully went off.

I stumbled on this reaction video after watching the actual video and I regret watching this all the way through because these opinions are what's really cringy lol no thank you.
I get the vibe that I'm watching two old people who forgot how to lighten up and just have fun. The only thing missing was you screaming at the video, "THAT ISN'T MUSIC!!!!".
You are the only guys that I have ever seen that are not impressed by this video. This is one of the COOLEST videos EVER! We used to get down on this song in the 90's at the clubs. Excellent video that will get you out of depression and get you moving!
Oof, its been a while since I just couldn't with the attitudes of people reacting. Q-Tip, Bootsie Collins, Maceo Parker...this stuff spans generations well before my time and drew those legends in to participate. I've never seen someone not get it so hard.
Actually it's late 60s colors and fashion. Like the show Laugh-In and such. Yeah it looks very early 70s also but there is a slight difference. Also their shtick was to be odd and eccentric.
I looked at the comments after 2 minutes into the video and I'm glad we are all on the same page here, those 2 are looking at this from way too high. Don't get me wrong, I have no problem with them not liking the song but their pompous way of showing it is what turned me off and I guess most of us in the comment section.
Judgemental youth who completely missed what this was - a club dance classic that everyone was high and dancing all night - hence why the video was trippy - still atleast she only yawned once in this video
It may look 70s but the underground club kid scene did look a lot like that in 1990. It was very alternative, definitely not mainstream, and the more wacky/outlandish the better. The emphasis was on fun over conformity.
Dislikes "disabled by owner". LMAO When you are soundly thrashed by an overwhelming majority, what else can you do but go the route of Disney and Amazon.
I'm halfway through this reaction and I've got to bail. I know it's your honest reaction but sigh, so negative. By the way, this (song and )video came out in 1990 and intentionally borrowed heavily from the 70's aesthetic. It also was a massive hit and never failed to get people on the dancefloor when it was played. Sorry the whole thing flew over your heads.
Let’s also not talk about how someone is rocking early 2000s style twenty years after the fact, while remaining haughtily oblivious to the fact that this video is an exercise in the same stylistic practice.
You all need to realize that the song came out during the NYC club scene with the Club Kids and unfortunately the ecstasy drug days. If you have an understanding of those vents, you will realize the relevance of this song and how crazy it was.

People obsessed with whatever the latest trends are, they’re the cringe ones. What we do or don’t like shouldn’t be in accordance with what everyone else does or the media says.

One of the huge anthems of early 90's.
