Hi from Australia. Great video Rachel. I like your approach to safety. Awesome belt buckle. I'm a mechanic and fabricator and enjoy using our scrap shoes to make gifts for friends. Keep up the great work and enjoy 👍
You are truly an inspiration to women and us men! Thank you for sharing this video. You have inspired me to become a welder.i bought a beginner welder flux core and I totally dig it👍🏽💯now school in the fall.thank you Rachel for the words of encouragement to us all.😊
Every Pearson is entitled to their opinion, But we do things the way we see them not the way people see them. You have the talent, so continue expressing your talent through the artistic work you are creating. Job well done.
Great job! I do some stuff with horse shoes too, the price of them has really gone up in the last few years just like everything else I guess. I usually paint mine a color and then go back over the flat surface with a fine flap wheel and polish it nice and smooth so it looks almost like chrome then clear coat it.
I hate when people are rude and comments. They don’t like it don’t watch. I think you do a wonderful job. I think you’re very entertaining too. Keep up the great work.
Is there anything better than being able to stamp: Made in Canada! Well done and thanks for doing your part in promoting skilled trades. Cheers from Cobourg, Ontario
Yup having the guard off is safer because you can see and feel how much pressure to apply! I was taught to let the grinder do the work 🙏☮️🇺🇸 Great video
I have been welding and fabricating for 30+ years. everyone has their own way of doing things. I've trained alot people I always tell them whatever works for you.😊
Enjoying your content! Please don’t sacrifice wearing PPE for the videos; we want you to be able to keep producing content and awesome creations for years to come!
🤣 Dann, I've been using vice grips wrong all these years!! Pulling the lever toward the lower handle instead of independently up toward the handle with the tension screw in it 🤯🤯🤣 Wow....I was looking for a way for you to modify yours, when I realized, I essentially just pull the hadles away from each other instead of using the leverage of the release lever. Kinda looks like you're doing it the same way I did with your fancy pair of grips that were giving you all the trouble.
Half the fun of fabricating things from steel is engineering how to do it. You have a great shop. I always wore a leather apron when I was fabricating steel. I might still have it. The ED buckle is really cool.
BC weather looks nice right now. I know it can change fast but can't wait to get out west again... great horseshoe beltbuckle. I saw it in the other video...
Just found you today! So fun to watch. The only problem I had was during some of your directions there was no voice . Can't wait until the next one!!! Thanks for sharing
Nice 👍 one thing you can do on the vice grips to help unlock them is weld a small round bar on the tensioner bolt to make a T handle or drill a hole so you can slip a screwdriver through it for easy turning. I got the idea from my very expensive but worth it snapon vice grips they have a spot to fit a hex wrench in the tensioner screw so you can tighten or losen the vice grips.
That’s a beautiful looking belt buckle I make belts and coasters out of leather I spend a lot of time on them, really nice looking belt buckle R D 😇😎🎚️
Saw you short about the horse shoe belt buckle, following your instructions to enter the belt buckle giveaway. I live in Saskatchewan and my family use to have standard breed race horses till it shut down here, I miss it everyday so I thought maybe I could win a custom horse show belt buckle 🤞 Love your videos and your awesome personality, your also an amazing hard worker in trades. See you around on more of your videos and FB posts 🫡
@@rachelbohnet are you still doing a belt buckle giveaway or did I miss it ? Also keep up the great content with your hard work ethic and being super beautiful your channel should take off real soon 🤙
The almighty algorithm has struck again. I never knew you had a channel. I instantly recognised your face and name. This Is crazy! I remember going to ucc with you and your hubby! Congratulations on all your successes!
Yes. Nice. As the comments said stay safe. Wear gloves. Safety glasses. Steel boots cap etc. it is easy to lose focus and be distracted by the camera. What is the weight of the finished 🧲 horse in shoue buclar? And how to measure and design the leather buckler and belt. Did you use fastener or studs to lup the leather belt? Very nice.
Talented, funny and sexy .I'm subscribed ,your a part of my youtube viewing repitior. Keep up your wonderful creative nature Rachel. Like yourself I used to collect metal trinkets to make steel sculpture and sold stools tables and clocks tastefully welded together and sold them on Bay street in down town Toronto.
The only thing I would say about working safe would be draw strings on your hoodie whilst using a chop saw , please be careful as I saw you using a chop saw when you had draw strings on a hoodie and long hair not tied back , just be careful , it doesn’t matter how much experience you have it only takes a second to have an accident, iv seen it a lot in our industry,,, please be careful ..
Extremely entertaining and educational, I am going to try this in my own shop, thank you Rachel!
Let me know how it goesa

Good video Rachel. I am also looking at getting into making things with horseshoes. What do you have your vise mounted to?
I just made a stand for it from some old scrap steel...Square tubing and a brake rotor that I weighted.
