I got heavily into survival games after playing Return to Moria, and picked up Icarus last week. Not got the DLC yet but really been enjoying the process - still due to get into playing an open world as I've been focused on the missions.
Oh well that's going to be very easy then! I never really felt pressured with coal for steel before. There are so many recipe changes and additions I feel like I'm learning the game from scratch :)
Ah that makes sense , I feel like I knew that now and just forgot about it. Will do that as we start to build a more permanent base when we move into Tier 2
It can be slightly overwhelming to start out with but the early missions in the base game do an OK job of walking you through some of the core mechanics.
I've been following the dev posts on the topic and it seems that while they are working on some improvements the FPS drops when you're running around on open world when it loads in the next terrain area are an underlying issue with the Unreal Engine 4 that the game is built on. I'm running on an Nvidia 4090 with an i9-13900k and I still get noticable lag spikes at times.
..... ..dude ! You got ADHD or what ?! For a dude that plays almost exclusive survival games, you get caught with ya pants down a LOT ! "Forgot to this..that..other that.." You prepare for a mission by going thru ya gear, debrief, final check, travel, begin mission !!!! You getting frustrating.... ......

"I've got plenty of arrows" 😂 12 arrows, must be easy mode lol. Got me stressed 😅
Yeah, no where near enough arrows. Playing on normal. :)
Another great episode!
Coal used to be saved to make steel bloom. There is a new recipe for steel bloom using charcoal. Steel bloom can be smelted in the stone furnace now.

The crop plots snap together on floors so place a floor and put your crop plots on that. There's space for 4.

For those watching now... with the crop plots they snap to dirt foundations. Makes for a tidy layout.
Man, I have no IDEA what's happening, but the game looks like the sorta thing i'd like!

use your scythe for harvesting from crop plots now. crop plots work like plants in the world now.
Awesome, will try and remember that!
I’m here so early it’s still 360p! 😂
Doh, I scheduled the launch, I didn't think it'd take that long for YT to process the video
How do you fix the frame drops in the game?

@@KederkBuildsman, that’s a bummer. Just started playing and that’s the only things dragging the experience down.
Please use your Tourch
I do a better job of that in later episodes!
