Those words you've learnt are actually proper. There is just such a great amount of synonyms in the Ukrainian language, that it looks unbelievably hard for foreigners to learn them all. However, if you listen to different Ukrainians speaking, you slowly begin to understand that wide spectrum of Ukrainian lexical wealth. The main thing is to try avoiding mixing Russian words into the Ukrainian language, as it is perceived as a lack of literacy, even though some Ukrainians continue speaking in such a weird way. You have to choose those people among Ukrainians whom you would like to hear and imitate, and who is not quite the best example to copy. Just keep up and don't give up! ;)
i live in South Mississippi and my grandparents was from Chernivitsi Ukraine I have relatives there and plan on visiting .their are virtually no Slavic people in my area only Polish mostly Irish Italian French and German mostly Western European decent.I live about 30 minutes from the Mississippi coast and New Orleans.I cant find a local tutor.can anyone suggest a good source. I know the basics and I've been getting wrong information on some websites.duakuyu.
Aren't Polish people Slavic? Try using Italki, you can get tutoring or teaching instruction from native Ukrainian speakers and network with those who want to study Ukrainian.
King of the 601 slavs that is frustrating. If you need someone to practice with I would not mind helping out. I have family in Kiev Ukraine that I am looking to visiting. I have no one around that would be able to tutor myself either.
I plan to make new movies with scrolling text for a variety of Ukrainian language tutorials. Meanwhile, I can e-mail the PDF files of the booklets that came with these cassettes I found at little shop in Chicago's Ukrainian Village.
Дуже дякую. 😊
