I put on ten pounds when I started working out again. I gained that in one week. I started freaking out and felt like quitting. But because I listened to this video, I lost 15 after a month. So technically 5 pounds because I lost the 10 I gained in my first week. Rest days are important!

I'm 13 years old and even tho I've been eating on my "diet" for about almost 5 months I just started freaking out 'cause this is my second week that I can't go from under 60.7kgs. I have always walked for around an hour five times a week and done some light exercises but ever since this Monday that I started exercising for 30 minutes I went from 60.8 to 61.2kgs. I was starting to freak out thinking that I'd gain all the weight I've lost back but not only found it weird that I was gaining when I just started taking this exercises, because I've been feeling myself lighter and seen more differences in my body. I'm so thankful that I found videos like this, helps me take some of that stress away

Thank you! You explained everything very clearly and I didn’t find myself trying to skip through the video to find an answer. I’m 5’4 and 234 lbs, I do 15 minutes of walking/jogging on the treadmill to warm up my body then go to weight training and to cool down I do the bike. I was excited because I was sweating and getting my heart rate up which is what everyone says but after 3 days of working out I weighed myself I was 240 lbs which is the highest I’ve ever been in my life so I started feeling worried but I’ve been feeling so great after my workouts. I definitely now understand how to let my body recover and what to eat and drink to help that recovery 😊❤️ Thank you!

@@GosiaCanoFitness I started with elliptical in Jan, but it was a slow start. About 3 weeks ago, I went from about 25 minutes to 50 minutes. This week I'm up to an hour. I do HIIT for about 25 minutes and steady state after that. On days when I'm not doing that, I'm doing barre for 30 minutes, resistant bands, riding my bike, dancing, tummy workouts, etc. I take 2 days per week off.

I’m so grateful for this video. I have been quite thin for most of my life. Recently I gained 3-5 pounds due to unhealthy habits during work travel. I’ve been so frustrated. I decided to do a 10,000 to 15,000 step a day challenge. I’ve been at 15,000 and I watch every calorie to stay at 1200. I was shocked to see I even gained two more pounds! I finally took a rest day today and upped my water. I’m thinking I need a 30 minute workout so I’m considering buying kettle balls. I also stopped traveling and have a new job that is remote. I really want healthy habits that won’t exhaust and frustrate me.

I have an update. I did a few things. I started taking rest days, I upped my water big time and I stopped eating processed foods for the most part. I wasn’t drinking enough water and was getting my calories from frozen vegan meals. I’m now eating mainly meat, eggs, vegetables, yogurt, gluten free wasa bread and diet jello when I want to cheat. I also cut my calories to 1000 temporarily until I meet my goal. Long story short the pounds are coming down and I’m not bloated and retaining water.

Please stop looking at the scale. Muscle mass weighs more than fat and if you are building muscle, the number on the scale will go up. The most important thing to focus on is how you feel (strong, toned and confident) and how your body looks. I will be doing another video about this, so please stay tuned. Keep on doing your workouts, eat healthy and feel healthier and stronger every day.

Thanks for this video. I was on the verge of giving up, after 5 weeks of exercise and diet only to find out I've gained 2lb.....I cried. I have been doing a work out every day except for Saturday, but now I'm thinking I should perhaps only exvercise on alternate days? I am considered clinically obese weighing in at 16.11st when my ideal weight is 9st, so I have a lot of work to do. I do have a lot of water retention going on and get very bloated. Starting today Ive started drinking 1tbs of Apple cider vinegar with 240mls of water 3 times a day and take one supplement tablet called milk thistle, having watched a video by a Doctor. He said stubborn belly fat is down to having a fatty liver and that you have to address that, before losing any belly fat, and taking the apple cider vinegar and milk thistle will reduce a fatty liver by 50% in 2 weeks (work a shot I thought)

Start slow ideally, work out 3 days a week with something low impact and drink more water. On some rest days, you can look up active recovery stretching and exercise. Slowly add more days or more intensity to your work out. I'm thinking 2 rest days a week is good, until you are advanced.
