I wanna plant mine in my perennial border but we get frost so it will most likely die back to the ground. Since it gets 10 feet tall and wide in its natural surroundings, how big will it get it my area every time before frost kills it?

Yes! I just snipped off some cuttings from an area on a slope earlier today.

Can I prune mine now? I live in California

Yes, you can! The only draw back is, if you prune it and it's still very hot, you don't want it to burn. Not pruning it provides it extra protection. Mine are out of control right now but I am going to wait till September to cut any of mine back. Hope this helps!

    How does one propagate plumbago?

Cut a good stem 5 or 6 inches long, dip in water then put in a good quality potting mix. Keep away from full sun until roots take off.

The only thing you didn't cover is why some of these plants stop producing so many flowers. Mine are mostly all leaves. No one seems to have the answer or covers this issue.

Probably you can give them flower fertilizer

They generally flower in spring … I prune in fall or really early spring before they wake up too much. If you wait too long in spring to prune, you’ll get all leaf and little flower because you’ll be pruning off their developing buds. Hope this helps.

@@KODoch48 I give mine tomato feed every two weeks and it flowers like mad. I use an organic one on all my flowering and fruiting plants and bushes, they love it. Good luck it’s worth trying ?

Too much shade or maybe you need magnesium which you can add with epsom salts.
