Before you pull someone over, you should absolutely know what law(s) you believe they’ve violated. These are the most honest officers I’ve seen, wanting to educate themselves about something before they take action! I wish everyone carrying a badge had that mindset!
This is classic park ranger behavior. They see something they do not understand, stop you and then go through a book trying to find something to get you on.....and fail at it. Long time ago I was stopped in a nation park on trails while on skates by one park ranger who took up 30mins of my time trying to find something to ding me on when another park ranger come up and let me go and educated the the first ranger I can be there. It is not all of them but you will run across a bored one and those are the worse.
You’re right. At least it didn’t tie up too much time. I circled back with them and may post that too. They were getting to the bottom of it with potential new laws for e-bikes
That is because you are all just slaves of your countries, and those rangers are there to remind you who you really are. Unfortunately it is unpleasantly true for most of western world.
At the local State Park they have signs banning roller blades on the entry and exit roads because it's uphill/downhill to the lake. All the other roads by the campsite they are allowed and have signs at every intersection telling what the rules are There are certain trails that are made for MTB's too because the main trails there are just too many people on them and they don't want an accident plus they are kinda steep anyways
OMG...humble cops that ask questions po.itely, don't arrive 5 seconds after their egos and offer to educate themselves before committing to incorrect judgement or enforcement. My goodness.......these cops need to be on main media news channells as an example to aspire to by other officers. Fair play to them.
It has to have pedals to be considered to be an ebike. EUCs are also illegal on any road with a few exceptions, typically if the speed limit is 20 mph or less like in Florida.
That’s interesting. Do you have the statute I can see? I was just riding all around FL without issue. I know a lot of people who live there and have no issue. It’s what they choose to enforce of course but if it’s the law I’d like to see it. Thanks

They make up rules as they go along and we pay for these parks. I love these parks but we were turned away with street legal, registered and insured SxS at a park. I understand NO OFF ROADING should be done but they just make stuff up.
The state I'm in [Nevada], there's no laws for them. There are laws on electric bikes (small ones), mopeds, etc, but the laws state speeds and power, which mine is too high for. Since it doesn't fall under any of that, it should default under motorcycle laws (according to the law), but the description for motorcycles doesn't capture my EUC either. For now, it's just this thing in a grey area and, complicating the matter is that I can limit the top speed of my EUC to fall within whatever parameters I need it to for the situation I'm in.
If they dont know before pulling you, surely they should not be pulling you? Like others have said, thankfully you found two who know when they are out of their depth,
I remember when a ranger drove up in my private property and tried to check hunting licenses at a gun shooting event we were having ! He was told that he was trespassing he opened a gate that said no trespassing on it and drove a half mile up my driveway and then denied the gate even existed lol 😂 !

“We’ll educate ourselves” tells me that these two officers are not ignorant, and are most likely good cops. A few would have not cared what your interpretation was or is, let alone what the law is, cited you and let the court figure it out. Good job on staying calm, educating the officers and letting them get on with their day.

The most fucked up thing is that you can’t ride on the trails, but you can’t ride on the road either and you can’t ride on the sidewalk so what the fuck
At this point everyone is confused,a peddle bicycle is one thing now ,these electric bicycle and or unicycle s are all motorized new laws need to be written to classify these vehicles. Cops did a great job ,so did the guy riding . Thing looks cool
"What we're gonna do is educate ourselves and let you ride on outta here". They should have educated themselves prior to harassing this young man who obviously is only out to enjoy the outdoors. Another fine example of a government paid employee who let their authority go to their heads. They are supposed to protect and serve, not harass and extort. I highly respect people in uniform putting their butts on the line for the welfare of the society they serve, but not these guys. Their egos need to come down a notch or two.
I met a fellow named Chris riding on the trails in pocahontas Park and he was carving along . He was an awesome fella having a great time there. I later asked a park officer what the rukes were concerning his ride. And because it was not able to be pedaled; it was not allowed on the trails. It's a shame because I didn't see where he caused any damage to the trails
Law enforcement and NC lawmakers need to catch up and get educated with the various modes of transportation on the roads so they can enforce effectively. This stop was sadly embarrassing. But the NC lawmakers should be more embarrassed and feel stupid if their state doesn’t provide guidance spelled out in new laws or specifically no legislation to enforce.

You had me rolling on the floor in laughter when you told the park rangers that your U/C only does 20-25 and maybe 30 down hill 🤣😂🤣😂 especially after saying earlier that it goes much faster.
Seems like trucks were allowed, and they can go probably 120mph or so. Teslas can go even faster, are they allowed? Why aren't laws about behavior? Like following speed limits?
Communication is key! Don't act stupid, be respectful, and follow orders. These Rangers didn't even know it was electric and just decided to get more info on the laws. Awesome!
We’re not sure why we pulled you over, but we pulled you over, and we’re going to find out a reason to make you a violator of the law. Thanks for handling in that manner. Well done. I like how you said 20,25-30 with some downhill to replicate a basic ebike. This shows a good example and helps all euc riders understand not to escalate unnecessarily
The fact anyone representing law enforcement would pull over people like this is truly pathetic and shows where this law enforcement’s loyalty is at. Insurance companies.
Less said the better! Well done! 👍
This a classic example of them having to much time on their hands! To which they think about their retirement funds and how they can make donations to it from the citations they give you ranger one I know pull him over give him a couple of tickets and that'll add to our ranger retirement fund! Duhh I saw you standing up on it! Great observation ranger 1 nobody's getting anything past you I feel safer! Sorry no disrespect to them but that was kind of ill-fated on their side they were unable to comprehend how they could not give you a ticket! Ranger 2 to ranger 1 geez ranger one I thought you knew what you were doing that's why I followed well there goes that 15% for our retirement fund good going ranger 1
They definitely need to educate themselves. You handled it well.
Appreciated
I have never had a good interaction with a park ranger. They are in a real power struggle with themselves.
Power struggle? That just means you always loose.
People drawn to power with limited authority are a problem.
Glorified mall cops
@@deanf7086Wrong! A lot of them are state commissioned SWORN law enforcement, some even dual fed and state. Not every park ranger is of course but a LOT of them have the "fuck around and find out" power so I'd just advise you to find out before you fuck around..😂
Park rangers are folks that don’t have the skill set to be a jailer
Before you pull someone over, you should absolutely know what law(s) you believe they’ve violated.
These are the most honest officers I’ve seen, wanting to educate themselves about something before they take action! I wish everyone carrying a badge had that mindset!
This is very true
They pulled them over because they didn't know what he was on just that it appeared to be a motorized miniature vehicle and that it had no rear plate
@@lyleg.9192 Which is probably the law. I know it is in california.
All it is, is "Big Brother" revisited.
It's pathetic!
At the local State Park they have signs banning roller blades on the entry and exit roads because it's uphill/downhill to the lake. All the other roads by the campsite they are allowed and have signs at every intersection telling what the rules are
There are certain trails that are made for MTB's too because the main trails there are just too many people on them and they don't want an accident plus they are kinda steep anyways
OMG...humble cops that ask questions po.itely, don't arrive 5 seconds after their egos and offer to educate themselves before committing to incorrect judgement or enforcement. My goodness.......these cops need to be on main media news channells as an example to aspire to by other officers. Fair play to them.
Excellent job handling that situation. Not sure I would have been so diplomatic.
“25 to 30”. 😂
“Any mo than dat a she plain cuts out on ya and dumps ya, officuh!”
If he told them it go 50 they would definitely tried to get him a ticket for something
I was DYING when he said that. I've had officers ask about my V12 and I said "Oh this one only goes about 25"
'It goes about as fast as one can run ' :D
@@bobdebouwer7835 ‘- so not that fast, officer, eh?’ 🤣🍩🍩🍰🧁🥮🍥☕️☕️☕️
Funny as hell !
He pulled you over and had no clue on what to do next.
It has to have pedals to be considered to be an ebike. EUCs are also illegal on any road with a few exceptions, typically if the speed limit is 20 mph or less like in Florida.
here in California they are road legal, not sidewalk legal. I've passed cops so many times they don't care. more focused on speeding vehicles.
That’s interesting. Do you have the statute I can see? I was just riding all around FL without issue. I know a lot of people who live there and have no issue. It’s what they choose to enforce of course but if it’s the law I’d like to see it. Thanks
Bullshit
@@josephcameron537 What part of them being illegal to operate in the vast majority of states, and with major restrictions in the few where they are allowed, is so difficult for you to comprehend?
@@artxcel Try simply googling the topic as I did.
NC and the park rangers there are so oppressive compared to other states with lots of recreational areas. I've had multiple bad encounters.
Park rangers have more authority than reg cops. Like they dont need a search warant...
Good info to know to never vacation in North Carolina.
Clearly Victor was being “trained” by the female Ranger, who was frantically looking through the law book, in order to save herself from looking like an idiot 🤣
I entertained that notion. I’ll never know since they didn’t inform me of such
would have been hilarious if he went
"25-30 really?! you should have gone with a kingsong instead of that master bro" xD
😂😂
I saw you standing up😂😂😂 yeah, just like on a bicycle 😂😂😂
😂
They make up rules as they go along and we pay for these parks. I love these parks but we were turned away with street legal, registered and insured SxS at a park. I understand NO OFF ROADING should be done but they just make stuff up.
"That doesn't look right, that MUST be illegal. We're sure to find SOMETHING in 'the book' if we look hard enough".
Low IQ cops think they're the safety police. If it looks dangerous, it must be illegal. Because fun was banned in the 1980s.
Let me flip thru the book... I'll find SOMETHING to charge him with..... Gimme a minute
“Can’t have you boys having fun around here, now can we?”
...and then someone shouts "he's got a gun!!" bang bang
The state I'm in [Nevada], there's no laws for them. There are laws on electric bikes (small ones), mopeds, etc, but the laws state speeds and power, which mine is too high for. Since it doesn't fall under any of that, it should default under motorcycle laws (according to the law), but the description for motorcycles doesn't capture my EUC either. For now, it's just this thing in a grey area and, complicating the matter is that I can limit the top speed of my EUC to fall within whatever parameters I need it to for the situation I'm in.
I went back and saw them and chatted more and that’s kinda where we left it
Sitting down on that thing looks extremely comfortable and more stable. What a badass machine that thing is.
If they dont know before pulling you, surely they should not be pulling you? Like others have said, thankfully you found two who know when they are out of their depth,
Ranger: "uh..why am I pulling you over?"
"Hey! I don't know what that is nor if it is doing anything wrong. But, let's get 'em and mess with 'em"
If it’s not on the legal list it must be illegal🤷
@@artxcel That is what they think. And, they don't know what is/was. GENERALLY, the law states what is illegal.
i seen one in burlington n c on a 4 lane in town . craziest thing i ever se
I remember when a ranger drove up in my private property and tried to check hunting licenses at a gun shooting event we were having ! He was told that he was trespassing he opened a gate that said no trespassing on it and drove a half mile up my driveway and then denied the gate even existed lol 😂 !
Sounds like the Pennsylvania Game Commission.
@@SPCRacing1 North Carolina
Yeah DNR do that here in Michigan too. DNR never “help” anyone they just harass
They default to harassing someone when they have no clue about any law. Whats wrong with these clowns in costume bullies?
How did you record that? Looked like you were by yourself but the camera is so far out in front of you.
Insta360 camera
That's awesome!
Tools keeping a free individual from life, liberty and pursuits of happiness. They act as if they don't know, but are really just phishing and relying on you not knowing or asserting your rights to travel freely!
Question:::
How were you recording?
That's a good question 🤔
Insta360 camera
The ranger was trying to get him to say that he went too fast😂
25-30 .....classic....😂😂
😂😂😂
That's prison time in jersey
Who me😎
"35-30?" 😂
“We’ll educate ourselves” tells me that these two officers are not ignorant, and are most likely good cops. A few would have not cared what your interpretation was or is, let alone what the law is, cited you and let the court figure it out. Good job on staying calm, educating the officers and letting them get on with their day.
Thanks, I agree
she was about to throw the book at you
😂right
Incredible interaction with them kudos for not being an overly friendly excited youtuber willing to give them all the details about yourself and your cycle. ✌️ i always wanted to be in that position of telling them what you already knew, it was watching a fantasy come to life ! 😂
What screwed up state is this
The other day a group of kids passed me on an electric bike and standing scooters while I was traveling 45mph in a 45mph zone. The kids were on the sidewalk and flew passed me like I was standing still. Had to of been going 60mph. I think im trading in my car lol
This is the issue I have with "law" enforcement, hold you there till they find something else to hit you with when they know no crime was committed. I bet they must have noticed your camera and were like off you go we'll take this as a learning moment.
Very friendly all around. Professional officers. Very smooth to let him continue while they learn for next time. 👍
That's so funny man. Glad they just let you go. They were probably in awe of the ease in which you took off.
The green people want electric vehicles but when you use one you get hassled. Park rangers are a step up from house painters and garbage men.
It seemed to me that the cop was attempting to push the top speed up to 35 so they could give him a fine
There's a table of contents in that book 😳
Cops should start confiscating those devices..not licensed on a Road Way Thourafare. 💯🇺🇸😎🌪🌎😇
Bicycles aren’t licensed
So, if they don't know what it is then it's illegal. What idiots.
The park ranger making things up geez 🙄 he doesn’t know, wow go figure they just wanted to bother someone today bc they don’t have anything better to do. Ugh 😑
In short, they had nothing better to do with their time other than to fuck with you.
Durp, I don't have a ticket for that.
Unexpected coolness from the cops. Outstanding 👍
Stupid laws that should be abolished period!
Very cool Rangers they were dumbfounded lol. Just making sure the dude was safe😂
When it's no longer protect and serve and only about ticket and fine
Lot of respect to the officers saying they are going to educate themselves.
This shows THE ABSURDITY of LICENSING FREE TRAVEL!!
As long as THERE IS NO CRIME one should not be ARRESTED/ STOPPED!!
We have THE RIGHT TO TRAVEL FREELY, we need NOT HAVE A LICENSE!!
"Ed-u-cate Ourselves" .. maybe next time before you pull over somebody do that first.
I saw a guy in Costco with one of sort of in a stowed away configurationthese a few months ago and I was completely baffled as to what it was. Then as I’m leaving I see him riding it and it was so freaking cool
I love this EUC !!
I motorized bikes and I get 55+ on my best bike. Don't speed past cops and obey laws. A 49cc motorized doesn't have to be licensed so....mine is a 49cc...actual 110cc. They have no way to determine what cc a bike is. It's a motor assisted bike. Been doing it10yrs and never stopped. I can also disengage the motor and peddle it like a bike....cause it is a bike. 150mpg.
Nice 😂
Not gonna lie...
That thing is badass..😃👌
I'm in Dunn and looking at getting a lynx or begode. Now that I've found your channel I'm going to keep an eye on what you find. I'm sure I'll learn a few things the hard way.
I think he was worried that you could get hurt on the unicycle. but you are wearing full gear so i think all is well.
i have had police officers and sheriffs watching me practice for long periods of time. i think officials are oftentimes fascinated by this technology. i will admit that i had to practice one thousand miles going forward, until i could balance without holding onto a basket/shopping cart. that is a lot of battery recharges.
and i did the same exact exercise going backwards, to learn to ride backwards.
i realize that most people can ride these within a few minutes. but that wasn’t me. i tend to learn slow, in everything i do. but i learn very well. it just takes a little time.
these are so much fun!
If it has a motor it is not legal.
The driver manual says any motorized vehicle. You can not be on the street with it….
🎯
?
Good interaction. Ive never seen one of those before. Interesting. Thanks for sharing this with us.
Thanks for watching!
V14? I'm just now looking up EUCs and comoaring the different models out there.
You had me rolling on the floor in laughter when you told the park rangers that your U/C only does 20-25 and maybe 30 down hill 🤣😂🤣😂 especially after saying earlier that it goes much faster.
Bravo! 👏🏻 Well played my man!
Everyone should stick to the same specs when asked "fast does it go?" "About 25-30" 👍🏻
Seems like trucks were allowed, and they can go probably 120mph or so.
I am not sure what is worse when citizens do it or citizens with authority do it either way it was good to see they kicked him loose. But all that means is they are going to read the law until they find something.
The big question is, will they go and create a new law now to prevent that person from doing what they did because it has to be against the law, we pulled you over for it.
Unlike the southern border, they know they are lawbreakers but they let them in and Americans cover their cost of living.
As long as people are not operating dangerously or obstructing travel leave us alone!
Please and thank you
That ranger was either high af or he wants one!! Great video!
