    So are you using a wiring diagram for this all or just experience? I’m so glad you have stuck with this build and videoing it all for us to see. I know the time put in can be frustrating but so glad your keeping with it man! Thank you.

      Thanks for the support man, I’m using both my experience and some diagrams/directions. The conversion harness usually comes with instructions and engine harness is mostly plug and play depending on what setup you have. Much more to come! Next weeks video is already done and I ordered some parts for it as well

    heylo, any reason why you cut up the oem charge harness like you did? why didn't you just use it as is? serious question, I am not trying to knock you for your build. I'm in need of some clarity as my K-swapped EJ9 won't crank, but it will power on and prime the fuel pump :S

    • @ChrisBuilt92
      @ChrisBuilt92  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I cut it and separated it because it all falls on the wrong side. Rsx battery is in front and wouldn’t reach with the charge harness in tact . Check power at the starter, check your grounds, fuses...things like that

  • @JDMAnt
    @JDMAnt 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Nice video, I am getting someone to do all the wiring for me, how did you initially work out all the plugs, looks soo confusing haha!

    • @ChrisBuilt92
      @ChrisBuilt92  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Most of plugs end up in the place they will plug in so it’s hard to mess up. The map sensor and the tps are easily mistaken Because they are in the same location and the plug looks exactly the same. Gotta pay attention to the wiring

    Chris hope you’re doing good ! Question for you did the plug from conversion harness that you connected to the engine baby plug 11:47min (big one by the driver side ) came with the conversion harness ? I bought my conversion harness from hybrid racing and doesn’t not come with a plug that big do you know if I have to repin another plug to be able to connect it there? (To the big plug ) thanks

    • @ChrisBuilt92

    Hey Chris, what happens if you don’t swap the pins for the tps sensor?

    • @ChrisBuilt92
      @ChrisBuilt92  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The tps will read opposite so 0% will be 100% and vice versa

    • @ChrisBuilt92
      @ChrisBuilt92  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Keep in mind this is if your running a base rsx harness

    • @robertvelasques7007
      @robertvelasques7007 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Okay, also I just finished a k swap in my eg, it starts up fine but when it comes to driving it there’s no response when hitting the gas pedal and car wants to stall out and jerks, would you think it’s a bad tps?

    • @ChrisBuilt92
      @ChrisBuilt92  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Makes sure your tps and map sensor aren’t mixed up. They are in the same area and plug into one another

  • @atiserrot
    @atiserrot 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    can the base rsx engine harness be used for a k20z1 or a k24a2 swap into eg ?

    • @ChrisBuilt92
      @ChrisBuilt92  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, I have a type s harness on my k24a2 and after using the base on this build I can say there isn’t much difference at all. You have to just re wire or change the connectors for the crank sensor and the knock sensor

      If you want to be able to just say you have a kswap. The good engines arent cheap and all the wiring and mounts and kpro and everything else is redic. I shoulda stayed Bseries

    • @ChrisBuilt92
      @ChrisBuilt92  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well that’s why I put this motor together, the price I got the k24a1 is the same price I’d get any 4cylinder engine at the junkyard. There just wasn’t a tsx there at the time. I did the vtec killer setup to get the most from the a1. Kpro is necessary but you can get cheap mounts and be just fine.
