It was a brilliant day out both me and my dad enjoyed it! We had a brilliant time chatting and looking at model trains. In general all of my locos were my favourite! There’s too much to chose from. Brilliant open day though I wish it could happen again! 👍😀
New Junction I think all of us have our fingers crossed 🤞 that it’ll be hosted again! I brought a Hattons poster and I also took part in the big train hunt! But it was overall an amazing day out top class. Hats off to all the guys who were behind organising it! 👍😀

Lovely video, did like D1944 (47501) Craftsman clagging, in fact I do have a 00 Gauge model of 47501 minus the Craftsman nameplate in the first DRS livery, brought it one year at the Gresty Bridge open day in Crewe, it was a brilliant event and also was (and apologies for going on like a broken record) nice to finally meet you Richard, please keep the video coming
It was a great day despite the rain! I enjoyed the wood cooked pizza stand. My favourite Locomotive on display was the class 88. I had a cab tour which was excellent. Overall I thought it was very well organised and the loco depot itself was immaculate! A very clean and tidy environment. Brilliant day and me and my mate thoroughly enjoyed it. Cheers👍

Thanks for filming & sharing it was great. Like Gerry in Australia I would love to visit but cost is also my issue from South Africa. I just wish our refurbishment sheds in SA would like the ones at Crewe.immaculate.

@@NewJunction we started to queue but we counted how many in n how many out n gave up.... They should have had an exit out the other door to save time. We headed over to the Crewe heritage center , sadly no video cus of the rain. But the Crewe north signal box is s great advantage point

Great video mate, nice to see a 142001 pacer at the show, I'm hearing it's going to be repainted into its original orange GMPTE colours when it goes to York Museum.
Golly for a moment i thought there was two of you one withy glasses lol been to a train garage in rugby off mill road i got showed around he called the RAC as his car would not start and i was sent to as i was a patrolman i fixed his car and he was the foreman of the Garage so we got talking about train so he took me on a personal tour of the garage and i got to sit in a couple of new trains being kitted out for their first run so i played engine driver in them both lol had a great time the engines are so big v 12 diesels and love the new cockpits i got under one train in the pit my god there miles of pipework under them trains massive disc brakes so i spent nearly an hour then my beeper went and i had another job to goto so i had to leave boohoo but what a time i had so i know you loved it because i did, .the most scary thing i did was to drive in between two fast tracks with a rail worker as his van was 3 miles down the track and two train came in opposite direction each of them were doing over 80mph there was an almighty bang and my transit van shook violently i nearly crapped myself the rail worker thought it was amusing seeing me crap myself i never fixed a van so quick in all my life so i could get off there i love to watch train but not when i was inches away from them had to do that a few more times as the RAC had a contract with the rail company to fix all there vans when a breakdown occurred i could write a book about my 15 years as a RAC patrolman it was such a great job but an accident made me disabled so can no longer work boo hoo but i did get a good pension off them for my disablement anyway enough of the waffling on all the best richard from john from rugby.
Hi Richard, while I was viewing your video I noticed a diesel numbered 67 006 with the letters DB on the yellow front of the loco. Are you able to give me any details about this loco and also what does DB stand for. Cheers Greg
That's the Royal train, used to convey senior members of the Royal family and associated staff of the Royal Household around the railway network. DB Cargo UK are the company who maintain the loco.
Damn! I missed it! But i was “adding on” to my model railway layout.. in which I really wanted to be part of the TH-cam Network but I haven’t done any videos on it and it’s a heritage railway terminus!
