Don, enjoyed your video, can you tell me where you got the plans for your shooting bench?

giodazip Thanks. I got the plans from the following web site. I'm not a prepper but they had the plans and I thought they were great. All from 1 sheet of 3/4 inch plywood. www.realitysurvival.com/survival-resources/free-shooting-bench-design-plans/

It’s an Excalibur Axiom? The guy on Death by Bunjie has been using it since 2010. Excalibur’s are great bows.

Thanks Bryan. It has become my weapon of choice for stand hunting in all seasons. Taken 4 with it so far and all good kills. I love it!

Donny g I have the Bulldog 440 and I love the bow. It actually freaks me out sometimes because when I first got the bow and I shot it at Bass Pro Shops the “bang” noise was so loud because it was indoors. Every time I shoot with it I’m always afraid the limbs can’t handle the 300#’s but it’s never failed me. I haven’t harvested any deer yet because I just started hunting and I’m still waiting on getting my license. Passed the test and all. Just waiting on the license. When I get it I have a perfect place to go to hunt. I’ve just been practicing with my Bulldog and now it doesn’t freak me out as much because my first bow was a Barnett Whitetail Pro STR. I hated that bow. Every 5-10 shots I had to wax the cable and the strings and it kept fraying so I ended up going back to BPS’s 4 times to get a new riser because the fraying and it actually snapped on me once. I sold my Barnett on eBay and used the money to buy the BD440. Ive chronoed it and with the airbrakes, sds kit and shooting the 350gn’s bolts I was shooting 435FPS. In my honest opinion, it’s the worlds fastest bow. Faster than the Nitro XRT by 10point. Anyways. Cheers!

Where did you buy this?! I thought excalibur doesn't make this one anymore!

+lumpy1space2princess I bought this at Amazon just about a year ago. Not sure about Excalibur not making them anymore but I did a quick check online and many of the usual vendors list it as out of stock. It's a great bow in my estimation.

+lumpy1space2princess I got curious about the Axiom production so I contacted Excalibur and asked. They are no longer making it. The Axiom and some other older bows are 36" wide and they are only making the newer compact design, the Matrix and micro series.

Don Guptill Aww... the Axiom could go straight through a deer at 60 yards. I really don't see why they'd stop making them.
Well, I guess Ill look into the Sapphire.

If you use a 100 gr broad head you would get 305 fps with that fast string. Nice video , thanks.

+Mark Bow Hay thanks. I tried a 100 grain field tip and got 302 fps. The group opened up a little so I will probably stick with the 125 grain. I think the longer front of center gives slightly better accuracy. Good hunting to you.

Your right the heavier broadhead is more accurate but the lighter broadhead flies flatter.... Decisions , decisions ! Mark
