Very nice video. Mercedes uses robots every where but nothing can replace the man workforce when it comes for quality control and very detailed jobs. I love the German technology. Are there some video showing the construction of the entire body starting from cutting the steel to welding all pieces together?
All of this quality work yet in Canada these vans start rusting within 3 years. All of the promises that MB has made for nothing. Why can't they make a Sprinter that doesn't rust??
The doors collect water on the insides. The back doors collect at the very top in the center. The side sliding door collects at the base of the windows. This water gets in, goes to the bottom of the doors and rust.

I nearly bought one for my business, so glad I opted for something cheaper (Renault Master) which has had no mechanical issues but a little bit of rust but I’d say not as bad as the Sprinters.
They rust so badly... How come a UK made vivario or the host of other re badge varients of it just don't rust. 15 year old vivario work vans still look great

The first Sprinters (T1N) were the best. I own one now (L1H1, a short wheelbase with a low roof converted into a camper van) and I am getting my second Sprinter T1N next week (L3H2, an extended wheel base with a high roof also to be converted into a camper van) The First gen Sprinters were superior in many ways: hardly any rust, very high quality steel and parts, virtually indestructible engines and gearboxes and hardly any electronics to go wrong. Unfortunately the Sprinter plant in Dusseldorf sits just inside the local "Umweltzone" (low emission zone) and as a result I can not even do a drive along the plant my vans have been made which is somewhat ironic and at the same time sad. The (local) German government have become sort of Nazi's again, this time of the environmental variety... with the emphasis on mental...
This is the work I dream about, I will strive for it, and I will achieve my goal, Car manufacturing is power. How can I communicate with them to send my cv!
It's hard to get in the jobs are only cool when you're a high person a boss from a small group or something spaying the cars is the worst Job every day the same job for 10 years not cool... I life in Düsseldorf 👍

@@haithemabssi3372 you must sign for a job normally but you musst sign up for the job 12 mounts before you want to start not a single class mate made it to Mercedes you must just try must have good grades and so on and they will take you to a test to look how good you are
Wydaje mi się że gniją trochę później niż wcześniejsze modele przynajmniej na drzwiach i błotnikach ale ramy lecą tak samo szybko jak wcześniej. Rdzewieja bo dają kiepska blachę albo słabo odtłuszczają przed malowaniem.
i have to say Mercedes i always loved them and even had a few and still have sprinter now, but i have to say i would never buy a new one again after my cars and vans turning in to pill of rust makes it pointless, Germans used to be known for the perfect builders now its just becoming a pile of rubbish,
Too bad the rust is eating them as you watch. I know is quite easy to make a car last a long time and be reliable. And that it takes a lot of engineering to make sure it all breaks just after the warranty expires, but this model is notoriously crappy
@@davidgibson4840 Lousy brake system too. My old one needed a $4000 brake job at 85,000 kilometres. Loved the engine though, but could be tough to start in the winter.
I can now see why my 2020 4x4 sprinter has over spray under the wheel arches and they have missed painting it inside the inner panels.. Also the robots gluing the roof on were out of glue. Sadly for £50k GBP vehicle this isn't acceptable. DISGRACE... Last Mercedes I ever buy..

Does anyone know why sprinters body work is soo shit and starts rushing in like 3 years?? Merc are supposed to be a quality product but really there completely dreadful!! The body work is dog shit and the new engines since the 2013 model year are even worse than the 2007 - 2012 or when ever they changed them but even the engines from 2007 have been poor!! I’ve put 4 engines in my 09 sprinter which is the 315 twin tubro!! And I’ve had it 8 years or soo!! And my 313 57 plate sprinter had 3 engines and I had that for 7 years!!! All in all just them 2 vans had £21,000 in engines between them!!! Yes just engines!!! If anyone has any advice on how to prevent rust and the engines going bang consistently please let me know fed up with my vans!! I’m a fucking idiot for going and getting a 313 15 plate and a 313 16 plate!! Already had problems with both of them!!!! Only had the 15 plate for a year and the 16 plate for 6 months!!!

Do they forget to rust proof the rear doors? Saw a 2016 the other day with rusty as heck back doors.
