21” of tail on that CHANGE!!!! 😱 🤯 Gil’s highlight reel here is gonna be nigh IMPOSSIBLE to beat this season! Only Glasnow can maybe eke it out. 🧐🤷♂️ Ho lee MOSES!! 😮💨🤦♂️
Gil goes from not featuring on the odds table to +6000 and that’s still gonna be a steal 😂 I think what he did yesterday was even more impressive after the start he had because he is a fiery guy his emotions do be high and he has showing it but also showing composure early in his career is very promising I’m looking forward to watching him develop even more.
I loved Gil since his debut. Now that he's healthy and pumping gas I'm very excited and hope he stays in the rotation when Cole comes back. Great video!
Gil was such a beast yesterday, it was incredible. Imagine how many strikeouts he could've gotten if he didn't have a 29 pitch first inning. And his change up, man that thing is insane. Up to 94 mph with 2 seam movement
Just wait until he actually has a legit slider and maybe even another pitch or two he can go to. One negative though is a lot of fans are expecting him to pitch the entire year it's why I see a new name always being thrown out for who gets kicked from the rotation once Cole returns. But they don't understand Gil has never thrown over 96innings in a season and is just coming back from Tommy John. So would imagine they shut him down at a certain point.
Okay, I know I say this every year, but I genuinely think that the Mariners have solid chance to make a run come October, our pitching for the most part has been phenomenal
Ninja, your nickname for Luis Gil should be “the Gila Monster” it’s a venomous lizard which makes sense in my opinion. (The G in Gila is an H like Gil’s last name)
Gotta add one of these 2: Seth Lugo or Luis Gil for the remaining of the season. Which one? (Lugo is 2nd in the rotation and Gil not sure with the return of Cole soon but it's the Yankees and he's throwing like a machine right now)
I would personally argue that if there’s any pitcher in the current era who is top 10, then I would say it’s Kershaw. Verlander has a bunch of starts on him, and has most counting stats. Kershaw’s rate stats are just absolutely absurd. Verlander after age 35 has been crazy good, so I won’t count Kershaw out from also being great and being able to catch up on some of those counting stats
@@topaz4162 Yeah I guess the Top 10 aspect could be a stretch but I tend to lean towards modern players in all sports since they average player is better in general for every sport. Kershaw's postseason struggles do it make kinda tough for me, even though Verlander has some of his own.

Gil was throwing absolute gas. Maybe Cole can take up the nickname The Professor.

Against the worst hitting team in major league history. Everyone relax 😂
@@patbruno3049 White Sox have a below average strikeout rate
@@patbruno3049 So we should just also ignore his 8 other starts before this one as well.
I know it's early, but if the NL Cy Young comes down to a run between two rookies in Skenes and Imanaga that's gonna be absolutely insane
Skenes has been as good as advertised but Cy Young talk after two MLB starts is extremely premature imo
@@aaronchapman3 It sure would be crazy if I had predicated that entire statement on the fact that this is a very early thing to say

That’s my bad Ninja I never realized that. Great minds think alike I guess 😂
I was so ready to comment the nickname idea that I didn’t even look at the thumb nail 😂. Sorry about that Ninja
We will see him last game of the series in New York
we missed you will

I love watching any pitchers good days. I will say that with all the pitching injuries you would think it would be a hitters year.
Eastern Arizona. Thatcher, Arizona, home of the Fighting Gila Monsters!
I HAVE WANTED HOME PLATE VIEW SINCE I WAS 10. Sorry caps, I was excited. But SERIOUSLY, home plate view should be a mandatory option. And I am 45.
Oh Caps are definitely warranted! 100% agree
15 minutes of the ninja 🔥🔥

Verlander is top 10. Players are just better in today's era (as they should be!)
Definitely agree with generally being better today.
