You cannot go wrong moving to either Houston or Dallas. The reason why Dallas wins is simple, it is the nicer cities that are part of the Dallas metro area. Dallas has better public transportation and DFW has way safer, richer, newer, better looking suburbs or cities around it. When you move to Dallas you don't just get Dallas. You have Fort Worth, Arlington, Plano, Frisco, Irving, Garland, Addison, Richardson, Grapevine, Westlake, Southlake, University Park, Highland Park, McKinney, etc. A lot more gorgeous cities are part of the DFW metro and that is where Dallas wins big time.
@@mcnits I totally agree! Lived in BOTH cities. The commutes in Dallas for me weren't as long for work. Plus I didn't have to worry about the EZ tag in Irving. (Tolls are ONLY an issue if you live in the North suburbs in Dallas) And you're right about safety. Houston has NO Zoning laws! So you can practically live in the "HOOD" ANYWHERE! (Unless you WAY of North by the Woodlands, or Cypress) The ONLY areas you may not feel safe in Dallas is South Dallas. (And maybe some parts of Oak Cliff) And ALL of the suburbs of the Metroplex are pretty safe.
When you are going through difficult times in your life, don't isolate yourself. There are people who have been through what you might be facing right now and they overcame it. Don't push people away, surround yourself with people who are spiritually mature and get the help that you need. Isolation when you are in pain and don't know if there's a way out is dangerous and that's why we have suicide cases. Listen, there's nothing that you can be facing that God is not able to solve for with God nothing is impossible. Hold on. Jesus loves you.
I’ve lived a significant amount of years in each. Pros for Houston: Roads are better in Houston, lots of jobs in Houston, because it is so ethnically diverse there are a lot of wonderful restaurants/food options. Cons for Houston: it is so humid, the summers are like being in a sauna you can’t get out of, it floods terribly and it is highly doubtful that it will get better, you don’t often see a thank you wave for letting someone in ahead of you while driving or see as many people with manners (imho). Pros for Dallas: not as humid so being outside is more pleasant in summer, less gray days by a significant amount, because of Fort Worth you could live in the middle of the metroplex and benefit from both cities within reach, and all the cool cities in between. Cons for Dallas: occasional hail storms, certain areas (seems like more areas than Houston) are too materialistic and all about what you drive, etc. I would for for the Dallas Fort Worth metroplex simply for less gray days. But that’s just my personal preference.
And, if Austin had a job market as good as Houston and Dallas. I would be living there.... beautiful city. Just gorgeous. The Hill Country side of course.
@@kzariuscook1275 I live there and more times than not, the sun is shining. Mid spring (like late March/April) is when I see it rain the most. It's definitely not the overcast/Grey days rap that Houston gets. @ Monica Wilson. As far as better roads though, I have to give that one to Dallas
For everyone talking about Houston heat vs Dallas heat. They both are scorchers in the summer. I sweat the same amount if I'm walking more than 10 min in each of them. Dallas is actually hotter temperature wise, but Houstons greenhouse effect with the humidity can make it feel hotter on the heat index. All in all, Texas in general is hot. Bickering over who has the more comfortable Seat in the scorching oven is beyond ridiculous 🙄
My first time visiting Houston last weekend after living near Dallas area for 5 years. Love the vibes of Houston better. Very artistic and more vegan options. The heat is not something I wish to deal with so Dallas definitely has the advantage on that one.
Dallas is a beautiful city, but I perfer Houston I’m from Austin Texas but I believe Houston is the best out Austin Dallas and San Antonio each of these cities are very unique in there own ways it’s just something about Houston I love Houston and I plan on moving to Houston later in life.
@手ぇ 愚 ゃあ The guy that Beatup Superman Time Magazine just named Houston one of the world’s greasiest cities…..right up there with Paris, Sydney, Bangkok and other world class cities. No other city in Texas was even mentioned. And it’s not the first time Houston has received this type of praise. Houston has culture, activity, the best museums, diversity and the most creative people anywhere along with good food and music. And the light rail system is actually more efficient because it connects most of the city’s major employment centers and attractions and it’s about to be expanded to the airports.
@手ぇ 愚 ゃあ The guy that Beatup Superman Just stop dude. I see you replying to every comment saying Dallas is better by trash talking down on the city. Are you insecure much? If you think Dallas is better, good for you. Both are great cities and will be the next mega cities in America 🇺🇸 Lets just be proud Texans and stop this nonsense
@@JelandoJohnson Hey, well said brother. I lived in both cities for a couple of years and had to relocate to San Diego and I love both cities. Did you know Houston is the most diverse city in America? Also the food is so good and diverse. I also love that Houston is not landlocked and is an hour away to the beach. Now Dallas is a very fast paced city, has better technology than Houston and its economy is bigger and more diverse. I also love DART, the biggest light rail system in the nation! Dallas has better transportation than Houston and I think slightly better climate. They are really close competitors and loved living in both cities.
If we're just talking about cities, I like Houston a lot better to be honest. It just offers more overall as a city. Dallas is the nicer, "cleaner" city, but its not particularly interesting and its culture feels like an amalgamation of different flavors of standard American culture. It's a great example of an ideal American city and goes all in on its Texan-ness. Houston is just so much more interesting on a city-level and culture-wise, more diverse, and doesn't really feel like Texas - you could plop it anywhere on the Gulf Coast in any state and it would feel somewhat similar. Houston's food is better too - just last month people were clogging up roads for an entire weekend just to get to a Turkey Leg Hut pop-up in DFW. And that's just one place. The difference in stuff like airports (where DFW has more domestic destinations but Houston has more international ones), traffic/infrastructure (they are both horrible, don't let DFW people try to convince you that the place is some sort of traffic paradise), public transit (where Dallas has a bigger rail system, but Houston has higher actual transit use) and things like skylines (Dallas has better lights, Houston has more skylines/skyscrapers) are about a wash to me. DFW (as a whole, not necessarily Dallas) does have hockey, Six Flags, and NASCAR if you're into any of those things. The one thing the DFW area does do markedly better than Houston has nothing to do with Dallas itself, and that's actually the fact that the suburbs are better there. But as far as cities? I'll take Houston every time.
@手ぇ 愚 ゃあ The guy that Beatup Superman I appreciate the write ups you and well researched facts you gave on both cities. Tbh my eyes and preferences say Houston is better but internally I just think Dallas is better no matter what even if I can't see how just yet. I've been more impressed with Houston so far than Dallas but Houston's MANY cons largely overshadow Dallas' cons. When people speak about the bad things about Dallas they say the same weak shit everyone else says about Dallas. That It's snobby and overpriced and pretentious and has lots of traffic or it's boring, flat and soulless. That's literally it. How tf is any of that worse than being the literal human trafficking capital of the country(better not visit iany massage places) or having a lack of proper zoning laws so a porn shop could open next door to you? How are any of Dallas' cons worse than Houston being on the carcinogenic coast and having to deal with shitty cancer causing air quality all the time? Just last week a report was out on the Formaldehyde plumes on the coast... So much for being the energy capital of the country. Don't even let me get started on the bug problem Houston has. I honestly think Houston's pros outweigh Dallas' pros but Houston's cons are larger and more dangerous than Dallas'. Dallas just doesn't seem like it has that main major glaring con while Houston literally has 4!!!😑 I just think Houston is a growth city whereas Dallas is a made city. Houston is where you go to grow, make money, party, etc then once you mature go to Dallas to settle down and chill out. Dallas already has a built transportation system that goes everywhere around the city unlike Houston. Dallas just seems a helluva lot more orderly, structured and regulated with everything already there whereas everything is all over the place in Houston and is still evolving for better and for worse. As someone in another video pointed out, Houston is a short term city to live in and Dallas is a long term city to live in. I have no Ill will towards either city and I have love for both. I just wanted to state my opinionated facts👌
Houston the city itself as a whole is definitely more interesting since its cultural offerings are better and more pronounced due to their ethnic diversity. (Houston is the most diverse city in the country besides NYC). Dallas just feels like rather an amalgamation of "cities" like Plano, Garland, Mesquite, etc. However, Houston has its major cons that make those considering the move think twice about their decision. One of them is the insane level of humidity that will wear you out. I know, Dallas is also pretty humid, but it's closer to what you'd call "dry heat." Their second cons is the way the city is built that makes it so prone to flooding. You don't want to deal with that disaster. Third cons is the lack of zoning. Because of their lack of zoning, the city looks unorganized and can look downright ugly. You can move in without realizing that there's a crematorium with smokes coming out of the chimney right next to your backyard. Or an adult shop next to a kindergarten that's next to a crack house. You don't wanna deal with stuff like that when you have kids.
@@user-sz6kp1tn6c I 100% agree with everything you said. I've always thought that Houston is better for those who are insanely wealthy or those who are low income (given that the Houston's "hood culture" is the best in Texas) whereas Dallas works out the best for those who are middle class. Dallas has more domestic immigration than Houston for many reasons.
@@joonkwon9303 can't argue with most of that, though I'd say the idea of smokestacks and porn shops rising next door is way more fiction than fact. Houston neighborhoods generally have pretty strong deed restrictions, particularly the ones transplants move to. And there's definitely laws against adult businesses near schools and parks. Houston may not have zoning but zoning in and of itself doesn't prevent most of what you're talking about - those are normally the province of civic ordinances and laws. Overall though both cities have pros and cons, that's for sure.
That H-town humidity is crazy. I think the main difference between Big D/DDD and H-Town/Tha H is that Dallas has better public transportation and DFW has way safer suburbs. Great vid again bro.👍🏾
Definitely go to Houston. It is sprawling and It has the road infrastructure already in place to handle the traffic. Dallas is way too crowded and roads way too small.
Honestly once you learn the city you won't move back. I lived in the Dallas area for 4 years and while you can argue its more "cleaner" or whatever, the city itself is BORING. Most people don't even live IN Dallas, they all live in the burbs.
I used to live both of cities for long time. I love the Woodland city in Houston, love the trees in Houston and love winter in Houston. I love the culture of Dallas, love the restaurants in Dallas, especially love the people living in Dallas. Only problem of Dallas is it is too dry hot from July to September. We are planning move back to Dallas
All come up Houston it so hot that I can’t even fix I 45. The traffic bad it people that always run into somebody. Like I’m sorry but I almost fell out
Wow so much hate in the comments. I’m in Los Angeles relocating to DFW. One of my good friends is from Houston and she said to stay away. The way I’ve heard of Houston is that it’s big like Los Angeles without all the good and fun parts of LA. Those aren’t my words. Never been to Houston and who knows? Maybe after living in DFW for a while, maybe I’ll go try Houston. But ya. NorCal and SoCal have their rivalries but nothing like this comment section 😅
I always wonder what people mean when they say fun things to do like name some of them because I'm pretty sure whatever La has Houston has something very similar to do
Houston is more like a more compact LA with 1/2 the suburbs and no mountains plus humidity. Your friend is wrong and probably doesn't know her new city well. That, or it's just not her vibe. Different cities do have different cultural vibes, for example, as a southern creole loving, carribean culture loving black dude, I prefer Hou to LA hands down.
Come to Houston where there's a culture with great food and is always something to do here. Dallas people is always in Houston. They don't like their own city
It depends on preferences. Houston- much diverse, great food scene, more international, energy capital of the world, biggest medical center and cancer research center in the world overall, powerhouse of Texas.
You're 100%. Houston is the energy capital of the world and massive medical center. Dallas is more tech and defense sectors. Both are great Texas cities.
This dude said he lived in Dallas all his life, so of course he's going to say Dallas is better than Houston. I would respect it more if this came from someone who wasn't so bias and who didn't live in either city..
I'm in Houston a lot, since we have an office there too. I like Houston, however the humidity is a no go for me. Saying that, both cities are great. But if I had to choose one, it would be Dallas. My favorite city in Texas is Austin and I don't live there :)
@@VIPRealty come on man..lol That's a safe choice. Everybody knows that there's alil inner state friendly beef between Houston and Dallas. It's alil more sensitive and emotional when you compare these 2 prideful cities. If a person lived in either one of these cities and tried to give a review on them, their bias would show.. Just like yours did...
@@VIPRealty I hear ya. But like I said, I doubt a native from Houston or Dallas could give an unbiased review when comparing Houston vs Dallas... It don't even matter if a person said Austin, San Antonio or "Butthole, Tx" was their favorite...but when it comes to Houston vs Dallas, it's kind of a big thang lol. Overall I enjoyed your review brother!
Your opinion is very biased. That’s like me, being born and raised in Louisiana, traveling to Dallas somewhat, but moving to Houston and living there for a year, and saying I prefer Houston. Which I do, because I’m not familiar with Dallas lol. But to each his own
Dallas hands down. Only metro linked with mass transit including both airports. Hate Houston traffic and their mass transit is a joke. At least in Dallas you have options other than driving. Best area of Dallas is White Rock Lake area (Lake and Garden District)--Lakewood, Lochwood, Little Forest Hills. Dallas Arboretum is top 10 in country. I live in Lochwood and have the nicest neighbors, lots of trees, low crime, like living in a small town within City, and living near White Rock Lake a big plus. With the oil industry in Houston it definitely more polluted. Can't stand the humidity in Houston.
I feel like a politician that is playing both sides of the fence, but here is my take on the Dallas vs Houston debate. I"m the lifelong Dallas resident that prefers Houston. I prefer Houston for all the reasons the Houstonians list: I prefer the Houston cuisine, architecture and affluent areas over their Dallas counterparts. Houston's negatives do not really bother me. All that being said....Dallas is a superior city to Houston. Dallas is more prestigious than Houston despite H-Town being a bigger city. Most visitors to Texas tend to prefer Dallas over Houston. Dallas is cleaner, has a more diverse economy and is much more organized as a city and metro area. Houston is very haphazard with filthy air because of the oil refineries. Houston is big, dirty and funky.......but I like that.
H-town all day but we have love for Dallas as well, it’s more affordable here to live, restaurants off the chain, highways need gps anywhere, I’m here from Saint Louis and couldn’t believe it.. wow , job opportunities is off the chain, colleges and buying property
Most people moving to either Dallas or Houston aren’t going to be living in the city centers. Some will, but not most. Most will move to the suburbs. And the suburbs of both cities are very different than the cities. Generally with exceptions of course) the suburbs of both cities are less congested in terms of traffic, less crime, “friendlier” in terms of Southern hospitality, more family oriented, more amenities, tend to be more politically conservative (most Texas cities are like donuts politically speaking where the donut holes are more liberal while the surrounding donut itself more conservative), etc. Again, I’m only speaking very generally, there are plenty of exceptions to every single one of the things I mentioned. But my main point is for most people it’d probably be better to compare specific suburbs of each city than the city themselves. Like compare Plano in Dallas to Sugar Land in Houston since that’d be where one is likely to be living and working.
Super informative Dallas seems like the winner here based off of the video I mean … economically speaking . I’d probably do Dallas to settle down and buy a home and Houston if I’m looking for an apartment, younger individual & it’s short term
Huh?!? Houston is double the area of Dallas. Houston had to literally annex damn near everything just to be 4th largest city in America. Lmaooo what energy are you talking about? Houston’s urban core is way behind Dallas’.
Glad someone night up the job market. Dallas by s long shot. And that's considering I worked in the Ed center in Houston. I just see more opportunities here in Dallas jmho
Moving to Austin in 2 weeks! Watched your videos on that city but now I’m hooked and want to learn about the other big cities. Thanks for all your valuable information man👍🏼
Dallas is much more colder than Houston during the winters (average 15° more cooler in Dallas). Dallas is slightly less humid than Houston (average 10% less humidity in Dallas). The hot summers “feels like temperature” are about the same for Dallas and Houston (Dallas summer temperatures are slightly higher than Houston which offsets with slightly higher humidity in Houston for the “feels like temperature” index).
Dallas as a city is behind Houston. Dallas doesn't even have a Chinatown plus Houston has a International port. the Texas medical center, rice university. the galleria area is probably larger than downtown fort worth. Yea Houston is another level. I can go on and on.
When people say stuff like this you know they don't leave Houston lol I know someone from Houston who said Dallas doesn't have Mansions lol Yall need to get out of Houston sometime because saying just we don't have a supposedly Chinatown that it makes Houston better lol STOP
Houston is behind Dallas. Houston city trains only go as so far. Dallas trains go everywhere in the city. Dallas infrastructure is better. Dallas has At%t, and ExxonMobil. These are 2 of the TOP 3 most profitable companies in the America. Dfw is the 2 biggest airport in America.
I’ve been living in Dallas for nearly 2 years now. As a native Houstonian, Dallas is a better quality city overall, BUT…..Houston has a vastly superior food and art culture. Probably the best in Texas I’d argue. I’d consider moving back just for that alone. I’m also not a fan of the spiderweb highway infrastructure of Dallas. I’ve never seen so many wrecks and accidents. Also, Houston is generally more affordable to live in from a middle class perspective. You definitely get more bang for your buck when considering luxury apartments and homes, but that’s changing under the current market. There’s plenty of opportunities in Dallas with accommodating salaries to somewhat balance that out however.
@@VIPRealty I don’t think I’ve had the opportunity to really explore Dallas’ art scene because of Covid but I can’t help but think about Houston’s museum district, art and music scene. Do you have any recommendations?
We used to live & owned a house in Houston for 6 yrs sometimes it’s scary when there’s hurricane but oil & gas company pays great until we moved overseas because my husband got a better opportunity working in Saudi Aramco the largest oil co in the world. After 11 yrs overseas now we’re back in the US we now live in College Station/Bryan, Tx I love it coz it’s just a small city. My husband do a part time consultant job in Houston but he work at home so it work great for him currently we’re building our dream house in our 2.87 acres lot in Grimes county just 2 hrs drive north of Houston we love the place it’s quite less crime & the neighborhood are very friendly.
Lived in both. Currently live in DFW area. I honestly say Houston over Dallas. Without Plano, Frisco, Irving-Las Colinas, Arlington, and any other mid city or surrounding area Dallas wouldn’t be the juggernaut it is.
I'm in Ftw.. originally from Az... Growing up we visited the major cities in Texas every summer...I liked Houston spent most of 2019 for medical...been thinking of moving there .
Dallas by far. I mean Literally Dallas leads Texas In Economy, GDP, Life expectancy, Average income, Population, Infrastructure, Annual Visitors, Film, Tech, Transportation, Walkability, Saftey , Economic output,Jobs..I could go on. We hold the crown
@@lamaripiazza5226 First off being 4th largest city don't mean nothing. Houston is 4th largest because it annexed Hundreds of suburbs...that's it. Secondly Houston doesn't have the most companies..I don't even know where that came from. NYC has the most companies and corporations of any US city and as far as Texas, DFW has the most. With over 103,000 Tech Companies and home to the most diverse economy in the US.
@@neiandresamuels5428 But still saying Dallas is the 4th largest city in population is still wrong. Houston has slightly better quality/variety of restaurants, museums, parks, and performing arts and has the best weather.
@@lamaripiazza5226 Dallas isn't 4th largest coty...its 4th largest metro area. Houston doesn't have better weather at all..Houston has more rainy days than anywhere else in Texas and It has some of the Worst Humidity in the US. The performing arts is not better at all, Do to the simple Fact Dallas symphony Orchestra center and Other performing arts centers Gets more International Artist and musicians From Kpop and Jpop to Eastern European Operas. Also DFW has more than one Performing Arts center. Museums Are on equal footing in both city's, Houstons museum of Science is one of the Best, but Dallas museum of Arts, Museum of Illusions and Museum of Science and Nature is still better over all. Except the science one. The Restraunts..mm yeah Houston has better food but Dallas has the larger variety by far...the Rarest of Foods are found in DFW..from Mongolian and Indonesian to Polynesian and Sri Lankan. And there are more Michelin star chefs with Restraunts in Dallas than in Houston. Houston's parks Are on equal footing with Dallas... Dallas Klyde Warren Park, Bear Park, White rock Lake, Carpenter park, West End, Thanksgiving Square and Mammoth Park have all been Recognized Nationals and Globally by Top tier Architect's. It Herman Park, Buffalo Bayou are Also Recognized nationally though.
I was born in Miami but raised in Atl, 39 years old, no wife or kids, not necessarily trying to settle down, looking for a decent wage job, like to go out and try new bars and lounges, love the night life, where in Houston would you guys recommend?
If you are from Houston, do not fight the results, as you can see by the answers Dallas is the winner although we still think Houston is marvelous. Houston is awesome, big, beautiful , city, but overall Dallas DFW is a better place to be.
@@1986-e3s the who? 😂😂 Mustve been a sorry team if they aren't around anymore. Though I give it to Houston. The team names All related to space is kinda neat...Dynamo's, Astros, Rockets etc.
I live in Dallas and they have worse drivers than Houston. DFW area has the worst and most dangerous drivers in Texas. And Dallas has a higher accident rate than Houston.
Dallas is more recognizable from a distance with its skyline but Houston downtown is better when you are actually in it. Dallas is cold and raw. They shot Robocop and some other sci-fi films there for a reason. Houston has this Miami, Atlanta or LA feel.
@@VIPRealty It really is . I was looking to see if you have done a show on Las Colinas, which is the best in the DFW Metroplex for me , minus the home lot sizes .
This Dallas vs houston rivalry reminds me of L.A. vs san francisco I remember watching a couple videos of Dallas vs cities like chicago Atlanta miami And even Toronto And boy the comments had me on edge Bcuz it was like those cities felt offended being compared to Dallas And alot of them even said if there was any texas said up to par && more Comparable to their city then it would have to be Houston And after visiting both I have to agree🤷♂️Although Dallas does have nicer neighborhoods And A Dart light rail thts convenient around the city But I'm afraid the pros stop there unfortunately✋️See the problem w/ Dallas is their to damn segregation And they have terrible roads And potholes plus it seems like they always have construction 🚧 going on in various parts of the city then on top of tht It ain't really much culture And its boring as hell So I guess having a really nice neighborhood && house is mandatory there giving as though it's where you'll be spending majority of your time do to the lack of entertainment and nightlife options And finally the food there is pretty decent But it's nothing like houstons not even close So the clear winner is:Houston Hands down no other place like it🏙🤷♂️💯
Dallas isn’t even the top ten most segregated City in the US, number 1 would be LA and 2 would be NyC😂😂 Also Houston’s ranked having the worst roads in the state Dallas also has more to do than Houston. I mean literally what is there to Do there
DFW is growing like crazy especially in the Ft. Worth (Tarrant County) side. I've been here since 2000 and I can really feel the increased traffic. I can see Tarrant County passing Dallas County in population in the next 30 years or if this crazy growth continues.
@@finalchapter24k Yeah due to suburban sprawl. But the Dallas side which includes Collin County is growing faster. Dallas county is seeing mostly urban infill development. Which will make it more dense and urban.
Lived in both. Houston offers more diversity, subtropical weather, better looking women, and better food. The traffic and crime is unbearable. Dallas is cleaner, better roads, safer, newer areas, has the better airport, and has a brief winter. However, it's bland, has severe weather, and lacks diversity. Both are better than most big cities. The older crowd will pick Dallas because its cleaner and plenty of space.
Houstonians love to beat their chest about what’s in the “city limits” when comparing themselves to Dallas instead of what the general area has to offer. The DFW Metroplex is superior to Houston Metro. Houston is the largest metro in the country to not have a true amusement park or an NHL team. There are also probably just as many Cowboys fans in Houston as there are Texans fans. And to say that Houston’s mass transit system is inadequate would be an understatement. Don’t get me wrong. Houston is a cool city. But they think very highly of themselves and they never tell the whole story when they talk about Dallas.
That’s because when the Oilers left Houston in 97 the only “home team” we had left was the Cowboys. Once the Texans became established most Cowboys fans didn’t want to switch.
@DIGITAL TRADE MUSIC State rivalry aside, both cities stand on their own. But there are always going to be comparisons between the two. My main gripe is with how Houstonians like to misrepresent facts when they talk about Dallas. It’s anything but “small” and it’s only boring to those who don’t know where to look for fun.
You just contradicted yourself. Yeah inner city Houston is the Loop. Dallas isn't even the center of the region. And to talk about the transit is hilarious. I use it daily just fine. We carry more people per mile than Dallas does with is 100 miles of light rail. Nobody even rides the train in Dallas
Living in both, I give the edge to DFW. It's more scenic, more jobs, rarely floods, the roads are more bountiful, the suburbs are cleaner and more plentiful. Houston only has Katy, Spring, Sugar Land, Cypress, the woodlands, Pearland, Clear Lake, and the Kingwood area. I may have missed a few but DFW far outweighs those. Also, Dallas and Fort Worth are built better than the city of Houston. Fort Worth and Dallas have pretty neat city centers in comparison to Houston's which is empty except around the U of H area. Houston is also too big, you can drive for 2 hours and still be in Houston. Sure Houston may be a little cheaper, but you get a lot less than what DFW has to offer. Don't give me Houston's diversity either. It's mostly segregated, you'll rarely notice the diversity. In person, you won't notice any difference between either cities.
@@VIPRealty the more I kept reading the more I realized that he was talking out the side of his neck and that he didn't know what he was talking about when it comes to Houston. How can you take somebody that says you only see other people at the Galleria seriously? Houston is literally the most ethnically diverse City in the United States. And for you to say something like "he said a lot more than that" is laughable because everything he was saying proved that he didn't know anything about this place
I own my trk also. I would say both cities are huge when it comes to import export. I live in Dallas and I can say Dallas may have more diverse options when it comes to freight options than Houston, but if you can get in with the energy sector and all the subsidiary companies that surrounds that industry, you can make some serious coin in Houston.
DFW metroplex has more people than the whole H town metro area.. Dallas is not just Dallas , that’s why he said Dallas is the 3rd largest city in TX, yes bc he is just saying Dallas but what makes Dallas a city is Richardson, Plano, Garland, Dallas, Frisco ,Highland Park, FW…. And that’s bigger than the whole Houston metro area , do your research
Houston > Dallas. DFW > Houston Metro. DFW airports are better (AA and Southwest are headquartered here). DFW has more corporate headquarters and it's not all oil and gas.... With all that said, DFW quality of life is superb but Houston is a better fit for me. More entrepreneurial vs corporate dallas. Houston has more culture, diversity and international flair. It really boils down to what you will end up doing for a living. If you plan on climbing corporate ladders, Dallas slightly edges out Houston.
I lived in Houston, just moved to DFW area…. I gotta give a little more time before I officially judge. But I will say DFW is way cleaner. I definitely agree with the driver whew Houston drivers 😵💫
Dallas all the way by far. Dallas is the best because J.R. Was from Dallas. The Power of your mind creates your world. 🙌🏻❤️ Thank for another awesome video. May God bless you. Being back Trump! MAGA 🇺🇸❤️🇺🇸❤️🇺🇸❤️
Houston way better than Dallas. Ive been to both cities and i say Houston hands down. You get a better vibe in Houston compared to Dallas. Houston way more diverse and better food.
Can anyone say something about work opportunities in Medical Devices (Industry, not hospitals)? I read good and bad comments about Houston and Dallas, so it's like 50/50, so a deal-breaker for me would be 1. Job opportunities in Medical Devices/Biotech/Pharma Industries 2. Cost of living vs Salaries And last and a little bit less important than the previous mentioned is: 3. Chances of losing your belongings (Floods, Hailstorms, Tornados) Any feedback out there?? Thanks!
🙄Houston feels more like a big city even though Dallas is big as well, Houston just gives off a more International vibe. So for anybody wanting to feel that big city vibe, Houston takes it. I've been to both and many other places as well. Houston has so many more tall buildings all over the city and that really makes it super impressive when compared to Dallas for me. So to say that Dallas has a better Skyline when Houston has a ton more tall building spread all over the city makes that statement a little warped. I also think that most people that brag on Dallas's skyline hasn't seen the mass of buildings that Houston has first hand.

I literally just came from Houston and Dallas wins hands down. Let me say that Houston's food is amazing, slightly better than Dallas. But their downtown is trash and the skyline us so dull. There is nothing vibrant about Houston. Dallas easily has the best Downtown and skyline. Our city is far more vibrant and cleaner. We have better sports teams, major theme parks, also a more walkable downtown compared to Houston. We have Deep Ellum, Greenville Ave, Bishop Arts, etc. I liked Galveston though the beach isn't the best, but Houston was underwhelming. Also, Vegas is planning to build casinos along Dallas Riverfront Blvd. Houston was disappointing for me.

In my opinion, the nice parts of Houston are nicer than the nice parts of Dallas, but Dallas is far more uniform and organized overall. For example, Rice University is better than any Uni in DFW, the Galleria Mall is better than NorthPark, and I could go on. But Dallas overall, their suburbs and neighborhood are more continuously organized. Houston you have amazing places not too far from not so good places
The metroplex. Why are you adding Fort Worth. Houston is the 4th largest city in the US. Dallas is to the 9th. San Antonio is the 2nd Largest in Texas....
@@debbiebooker4649 Houston’s and San Antonio’s massive city limits are the only reason they’re bigger. Both San Antonio and Houston countinues to annex additional land which makes their city larger. Dallas have had the same city limits size for decades. Dallas is 340 sq mi of land, San Antonio is 500 sq mi, and Houston is 600 sq mi. BTW Dallas County alone has more ppl than the entire San Antonio metro area. No one in America thinks San Antonio is larger than Dallas. How are we adding Ft Worth? We’re one metro area. Yeah, Houston definitely feels more eclectic, vibrant, and "chaotic (whether in a good way or not)" in comparison to Dallas. It also feels bigger, but Dallas's presence of zoning law makes their streets and neighborhoods more organized and cleaner.
@@thomaswen86 Houston has the beaches! I loved living in Houston more than Dallas. Houston has more to offer and more diverse activities than Dallas. However, keep in mind both metros rely on other cities like Dallas relies on Plano, Fort Worth, Irving, Arlington, etc... Lets be honest these people in Dallas hate Houston because were bigger. So people from Dallas will always try to compare. Which will never be. Besides I been to Dallas a few times. Let me just say it is Gaawd Awful boring. Nothing to do, Austin has more stuff to do, even Portland Oregon. The skyline in dallas is beautiful, but who has the biggest skyline in Texas yea Houston. Houston even hold fourth in High rises and more city buildings. Houston Cheaper living, better job and business opportunities, better healthcare, more activities, better food, bigger fricken city. Houston keeps sprawling outwards. 667 squar miles of one whole big O city and a few metro areas. Traffic sucks but they take care of it quicker than Austin and L.A.
Great Point!! The Dallas suburbs are much nicer.
Amen!
Period.
Good. I hope all the "illegals", crime, and a**-holes agree with you. 😁
Dallas!
Thank you Monica. Great insight on Dallas & Houston.
So true about both cities...I totally forgot about the grays days...it is always an over cast in Houston....😔

Bickering over who has the more comfortable Seat in the scorching oven is beyond ridiculous 🙄
lol I agree.
right 😅🤣
My first time visiting Houston last weekend after living near Dallas area for 5 years. Love the vibes of Houston better. Very artistic and more vegan options. The heat is not something I wish to deal with so Dallas definitely has the advantage on that one.
Houston definitely seems to get hotter

Dallas is a beautiful city, but I perfer Houston I’m from Austin Texas but I believe Houston is the best out Austin Dallas and San Antonio each of these cities are very unique in there own ways it’s just something about Houston I love Houston and I plan on moving to Houston later in life.
Houston is great too.
H-Town all day baby
I love Dallas-Fort Worth but Houston is the heart and soul of Texas.
Love your insight on both cities. You know both cities extremely well!! Thank you for your indebted comment.
Dallas just doesn't seem like it has that main major glaring con while Houston literally has 4!!!😑
I just think Houston is a growth city whereas Dallas is a made city.
Dallas. Jobs and future for our children. Companies all around US are shifting to Dallas and Austin, no one talks about Houston.
I agree. Unless you're in the oil/gas industry, Dallas and Austin are the places to be.

Both Dallas and Houston are great cities with plenty of opportunities.
Haha in moving from STL to houston in april bruh!! Thats crazy!!
St. Louis seemed nice.
We've covered almost every suburb on our channel :)
Super informative Dallas seems like the winner here based off of the video I mean … economically speaking . I’d probably do Dallas to settle down and buy a home and Houston if I’m looking for an apartment, younger individual & it’s short term

Also, Houston is generally more affordable to live in from a middle class perspective. You definitely get more bang for your buck when considering luxury apartments and homes, but that’s changing under the current market. Dallas is more recognizable from a distance with its skyline but Houston downtown is better when you are actually in it. Dallas is cold and raw. They shot Robocop and some other sci-fi films there for a reason. Houston has this Miami, Atlanta or LA feel.
Ill disagree on that one. Downtown Dallas is much cleaner, newer and more happening.

This Dallas vs houston rivalry reminds me of L.A. vs san francisco I remember watching a couple videos of Dallas vs cities like chicago Atlanta miami And even Toronto And boy the comments had me on edge Bcuz it was like those cities felt offended being compared to Dallas And alot of them even said if there was any texas said up to par && more Comparable to their city then it would have to be Houston And after visiting both I have to agree🤷♂️Although Dallas does have nicer neighborhoods And A Dart light rail thts convenient around the city But I'm afraid the pros stop there unfortunately✋️See the problem w/ Dallas is their to damn segregation And they have terrible roads And potholes plus it seems like they always have construction 🚧 going on in various parts of the city then on top of tht It ain't really much culture And its boring as hell So I guess having a really nice neighborhood && house is mandatory there giving as though it's where you'll be spending majority of your time do to the lack of entertainment and nightlife options And finally the food there is pretty decent But it's nothing like houstons not even close So the clear winner is:Houston Hands down no other place like it🏙🤷♂️💯
Dallas isn’t even the top ten most segregated City in the US, number 1 would be LA and 2 would be NyC😂😂
Also Houston’s ranked having the worst roads in the state
Dallas also has more to do than Houston. I mean literally what is there to Do there
@@KingAsa5 NYC is definitely the most segregated city in the world.
DFW is growing like crazy especially in the Ft. Worth (Tarrant County) side. I've been here since 2000 and I can really feel the increased traffic. I can see Tarrant County passing Dallas County in population in the next 30 years or if this crazy growth continues.
DFW is experiencing massive growth. However, I can't ever see Fort Worth being larger than Dallas.
The Dallas side is growing faster than the Ft Worth side.
@@214dude2 no it's not
@@214dude2 tarrant County is growing much much faster than Dallas County
Dallas is very diverse too. Main issue with Houston is that humidity is out of control.
100%! It's amazing how many Dallas Cowboy fans there are in Houston.
Great channel man

The ball on the left is the thing I like the most about the city
Reunion tower, It's famous.
