Yeah, convenient ommission of recall in regards to Angron's Nails killing him, within the typically unlimited and precise memories of the primarchs' geneseeds. That'd be a case of emotion overriding thought. More time with his Butcher's Nails for company upon reunification with the Imperium, rather than the overdue, necessary attention from his father and brothers themselves. Which would only develop and reinforce Angron's detachment from his own scions, thereby also cascading upon the World Eaters' legion the same fury of forever frustrated fighting. What did the Great Angel think of Angron's nickname of “The Red Angel”, and did this legion's primarch compare his and Sanguinius' epithets?
Even had they chosen a less indicative/obvious title to go by, the Brotherhood of Ruin sound terrible. “Terror ships”. I wonder if the Golgotha sector was considered a “stellar wasteland” because the abhuman cyborgs of this heretofore localized empire preferred to rule over lifeless or next-to-extinguished planets. They were adversaries enough to inflict horrific casualties upon this notorious legion of astartes as well as requiring a second wave supported by a hefty contingent of the Legio Audax to be ultimately vanquished.
The legion marine's power armour shown in model profile here after 7:45 sure appears characteristic for such bloody battle brothers. And scary, with the embellishing non-Chaos teeth of those torso mouths.. Those really provide a medieval, inquisitorial impression of brutality along with the more crude, iron armour-like slits and bolt holes.
I'd actually be interested to know more of the xenos species mentioned here, whose name begins with a letter “L”. I couldn't find how to spell their name so I won't attempt to sound it out here (in one of several possibilities). Anger for the Anger Son! Even so, the unhappy pappy of these boys may deliver a sudden and violently undue death to all who are his own charges, anyway. Horribly tragic but part of the lexicon and the spectrum od the astartes, nonetheless. Thank you for belting out this one, GDN. A fierce introcution for the World Eaters' history, far from at peace with their humanity. May your day be un-angry and relaxed, Narrator...the Emperor protects.

Has there ever been a scene written between Angron and the Emperor? I can't recall from his book or anything else. You'd think the Emperor would get a sense of which primarchs were least enthusiastic about him and that combined with the fact it was later written he knew Chaos had tainted them in some way. Maybe it is the failing of the writers or writers changing what was intended direction in the past, but no precautions were taken despite what seemed obvious.
Besides the mention of the Emperor teleporting Angron to his flagship so he can watch his family get slaughtered from orbit...I can't think of anything
@@thewaterguy17 Same, that's about all I can think of. That actually sucks because we never get to see if Angron holds that hatred toward him, cowed in some way or whatever. I'm sure it could be said he avoided being around him, but not for 10,000 years. They all were called to him at some point.
I do wonder because of the change from The Emperor actually caring about them to the once writer that flipped it to he just saw them as tools, it would render it moot. I think they did examine Angron to see if they could remove the nails, so the Emperor had to be present.
