Thank you so much for this interview, it was very informative.
I find I could relate to 90% of the things you are speaking about. I also graduated with a Master of Architecture however my passion was always driven by visualization. For me, I find that Arch Viz is a "weird" grey area as it relates to architecture. Arch Viz finds itself lodged between the industries of Architecture, Design, Film/Animation, Video Games, Environment Art etc. It's such a crazy overlap.

That was great! Nice to see you mentioning Enscape! I've been producing a lot of content about Enscape, I trully believe that real time rendering is not a thing about the future, is the present! 😊

having this discussion up front for students practitioners and professional in the 3d and architectural world to know how the technology and some other tools can be integrated into architectural design i myself first think 3dsmax is the best tool for designing and doing the visualization with the vray but i now happen to knw this software called rhino and grasshopper which is so amazing for computational design and by knowing some of the tools from previous 3d software's like Revit ,3dsmax helped me a lot in knowing grasshopper and rhino in no time and of course knowing it for the future so i do encourage anybody who wants to knw computational design to try them out

You guys are so inspirational. Without your wise words, endless enthusiasm and positivity, and clean unambiguous straight talking (i.e. without the inaccessible academic esoteric archispeak) has helped me understand a lot about the way I design and present, and consequently made me realise what I can achieve. Sincere thanks for helping me get through my masters as a mature student. I'll stay subscribed for the next part of the journey. Much respect.

This channel was out the blue. I follow BlessedArch and 30x30 but I didn't think there were any other architect channels.

My main concern with Revit is the lost of the visualization aspect. I would love to see tutorials on how we can move from Rhino / Sketchup / Conceptualizations going into Revit. What that workflow is like in terms of visual representation in Revit.

Wonder if you could advise. Are these portfolios just a sample to send to an employer, and the full one is printed in a booklet / A3 binder ? If so what is the format of the ones we saw here? - They certainly weren't A3
    Thanks

Have you considered doing a crit of professional portfolios? I know a lot of people struggle to transition from the academic folio to the first professional folio.

very interesting just found this video and i love BIG and their approach to design, Im an architectural student until now everything is online sadly but cause of that im diving deep into rhino,Grasshopper,Lumion,Revit and i slowly am realising that Rhino especially feels like picking up pen and paper which is crazy fun :D

This is all helpful to find a job as an architect starting out. Do you think that becoming the office pro at a certain software will pigeonhole you into that task and keep you from advancing into leadership roles? Olly mentioned that the projects all start out with research and sketching. I would imagine that those are the skills to develop to enter into the leadership and creative roles.
