She is doing super work there! Yes, the "come" command is a very important one for her to learn next. I am not a pro, by any means, but I have obedience trained my dogs in the past. Any training like this is beneficial. You're doing a great job; and so is she!
Scarlet is adorable, she’s very calm, seems like a wonderful breed. She didn’t seem to mind her bath at all. Thanks for sharing her with us. Blessings my friends
T & S Dog's & Dragonflies Farm - thank you! I’ve purchased all the grooming supplies and plan to do her myself since we live out in the boonies (and to save money!), so hopefully she’ll be conditioned to it when the time comes 😊 Have a great day ❣️ Josie
Our Serenity Homestead - thank you, she never takes her eyes off of me unless she’s asleep, LOL! And she’s my little shadow that follows me everywhere now.❤️
She is going to be a breeze to train! She's picking it up so fast! and you are doing it exactly right, using one word commands with lots of celebration when she gets it right. Another thing we taught our dogs to do is use a bell when they want to go outside to potty, we hang it by the door, Korah will go over to it and touch it so it does its bell tinkle sound and we let her out. That may have been the best training we ever did, love that bell lol
R Spryng Farm & Country - thank you! I think she’s doing well for only 9 weeks old. She’s my little shadow and so anxious to please❣️ I’ve seen a lot of people use the bell method with great success 😊
Stacie’s Country Cooking - thank you! We’ve decided Scarlet is a cross between a teddy bear, a Wookiee and Alf!! She’s a hoot and definitely keeps me on my toes 😆. Have a blessed day Stacie ❣️
Marques Pimentel - hi and thanks for your question. Mini goldendoodle‘s are around 25 to 30 pounds and 15 to 17 inches tall at the shoulder. Standard goldendoodles are 50+ pounds and around 20-25 inches tall at the shoulder. Scarlet is a standard goldendoodle and weighs about 50 lbs. 😊
Aaric Hale - thank you! I think she’s doing really well for just being nine weeks old. Puppies are so much fun but wow, this is a lot of work, LOL! I’m exhausted and it’s only been a little over a week! 😆
Ozark Mountain Goats this was great video to watch. I am curious as to what treats you are using? Our little one seems to be picky and really doesn’t care for treats, making it hard to entice her to learn new things. I know she’s smart but it would be so much easier for us. Love your videos.
John Katayama - hi and thank you for your question. Actually when I first started training Scarlet I mostly used little pieces of her kibble. I didn’t want to upset her stomach and so that’s what I started with. Shortly after that I started adding a variety of different treats. She’s not picky at all and loves everything. I currently use American Journey beef training bits, Cesar softies, Pup-peroni (cut into small pieces), and Milk Bone soft and chewy. The training American Journey bits are nice because they’re so tiny. You can use lots of them without feeding your dog too much. I hope this helps. Thanks for your question and have a great day! 😊 ~ Josie
Karla Pastrana - hi & thank you for watching! Congratulations on your golden doodle puppy in June! They are such a fun breed. Potty training is all about consistency. I watch McCann Dogs on TH-cam and they are great! They have lots of puppy training videos. I will try to put something together very soon. Thanks for your feedback and have a great Sunday! 😊
Hi, vielen Dank für das tolle Video 👌👍🔔 Wünsche dir einen guten Start in die neue Woche, pass auf dich auf und bleib gesund, wir sehen uns. Liebe Grüße Siggi & Marianne
Thank you so much. Your messages always go to spam so I have to go looking for them. lol...Always good to hear from you. Take care and stay well, Jim and Josie
Rhea R - Scarlet did exceptionally well right away but I used a house line on her and took her out very frequently. She had hardly any accidents and was completely trained by 16 weeks. Thank you for watching and commenting 😊 ~ Josie
Hi Maam. Would you kindly tell me what kind of golden doodle is she? I know they have letters and numbers. Is she a mini or a mini petite. Also can you recommend a reliable breeder? Thanks so much I want one in September
Charles Allen - hi, and thank you for commenting. Scarlet is an F1b goldendoodle. That means she is 3/4 poodle and 1/4 golden retriever. Her mother is a goldendoodle (1/2 golden retriever and 1/2 poodle) and mama was bred to a poodle. Scarlet’s parents are standard size, although her mama is on the small side - about 45 lbs. Scarlet was the runt of the litter so I don’t really expect her to be over 50 lbs at maturity but you never know. Her color is “red”. She has a black nose and brown eyes. If you get a liver (pinkish red) nose - you might get green or light colored eyes. I would google breeders in your area and read reviews. That’s what I did. My breeder is in Southwest Missouri. Most breeders will ship a puppy for an additional fee of $300-400. Hope this helps 😊 ~ Josie
Im so happy she will have her own playlist filled with many paw happy moments. Blessings Yall
Yes she is growing so fast too. She is one of the smartest critters we've ever had. Blessings back at ya! / Jim

Haha! She's on the same feeding schedule our puppies are on!
Ernie Hatmaker - so far it’s working out well. She’s got a nice, round belly❣️ ~ Josie

Ecuador Homestead - thank you! You have a wonderful day as well😊
I wash my girl once a week getting her use to being groomed. She’s a champ. And doesn’t even mind getting her nails trimmed. Good job!
That’s awesome! Sounds like you’ve conditioned her well❣️
Such a good 🐕 what’s difference between mini golden doodle scarlet not mini ?
Marques Pimentel - hi and thanks for your question. Mini goldendoodle‘s are around 25 to 30 pounds and 15 to 17 inches tall at the shoulder. Standard goldendoodles are 50+ pounds and around 20-25 inches tall at the shoulder. Scarlet is a standard goldendoodle and weighs about 50 lbs. 😊

Can you do a video about potty training? We are getting our Goldendoodle baby early June and I’m terrified about potty training.

Do you have a video of you teaching her to sit?
She kinda learned to sit immediately - and not really while I was video taping it. 😊
Aww where did you get her?
Christine Saah Nazer - from Creekside Goldendoodle. Located west of Branson, Missouri. Thank you for watching and Happy New Year!
How long does it take before they don't use the bathroom inside?
Rhea R - Scarlet did exceptionally well right away but I used a house line on her and took her out very frequently. She had hardly any accidents and was completely trained by 16 weeks. Thank you for watching and commenting 😊 ~ Josie
