I was kinda thinking the same thing. I know other craps players that have watched this video and they swear by this method. This is one of the videos on TH-cam that EVERY Craps player should watch. It's definitely become a staple of gameplay for many. I use too many different strategies to use this method exclusively, but I do somewhat use this method.
yep, money management is the key to life. even in a boardgame management of resources and setting limits in gaming I would set loss limits and session limits It was kind of a surprise when I started hearing about Winning Limits. My Dad use to say never leave a winning machine...I kind knew that was wrong when he had to borrow money from me so we could get home. I loved my Dad, but Holy Moley.
Absolutely the best Bank management video on TH-cam. The Bank you have is the entire 3 day amount. Lets say you have 20K in mind and you will only use 10% of that or $2K, for a 3 day game at 3 events a day. In this case: your 1st event lost $200, you move on. Your 2nd event lost $200. At each of these events you walk after the management loss of $200. Each event is managed: WHEN you win an event - you can leave the table at $600 up or 30 minutes in the game. I mention only these 3 events/sessions as you see it is back to even win/loss.
This was a great video with great advice!! When I go into a casino I walk in with what I am willing to lose with nothing else!! For example, I leave ALL my debit and credit cards in my truck or car and I play with that only!! With that strategy I don't lose anymore than what I waked into the casino with!!
@@frostbound Generally true because most gamblers use wrong betting system and don't have emotional discipline. I've chalked 6 figure wins playing Blackjack using positive progression. If its not working out, I am not stubborn and simply walk away because tomorrow is another day. Gambling should be treated like a business. If conducted correctly with sufficient capital, its quite lucrative.
I do a similar strategy. I buy in at a $10 table for $500. I use your favorite betting strategy; Pass line, field, 6& 8 then place the field/place winnings for full coverage- collect then press on wins ($44 investment per shooter) I run through the bankroll or 11 shooters; after the 11th shooter if I doubled my money I walk away. If not I play what I won with the same strategy until I either run out of bankroll or double my buy-in. It is just fun for me that way!
I'm a low roller, and measure the session relative to my original buy-in. I work a scheme of "session breakpoints": if I get to a breakpoint, that's the end of that session; cash out and walk away. My profit breakpoint is +50% of my original buy-in. My loss breakpoint is -75% of my original buy-in. My time breakpoint is 1 hour of play, or approx. 100 dice rolls. If I have bought in for $200, I walk away if I have $300 ($100 profit), or if I have $50 ($150 loss), or I've played for 1 hour and haven't made $100 profit or $150 loss. I allow more margin on the downside (-75%) to recover from downswings, which seem to be bigger than upswings.
Love this! I followed a similar method. In NY its $15 and $25 tables...I only choose to use $300 per session. This past trip I did horrible...but it's gambling...This is a good way for people starting out to manage.
I went to the tables today with 10x my max bet for each shooter at $15 table and played for hours! This is good advice! However, I will say you need a lot discipline for this and I end up changing my bets after an hour and a half so bring more than that if you tend to press/change your bets for fun.
I used to bring $1000 for a $10 table. Then a casino opened up closer to me they had only $25 tables. I tried the same $1000 strategy and lost my shirt multiple times. I think I need 100x the minimum bet to make it work. But I never felt comfortable enough to throw down $2500 onto the table. I should have, though, because I ended up losing much more over the year and two months that I played there. That’s one good thing that came out of this whole pandemic. No more weekly craps losses!
starting from the bankroll. I usually am a weekend trip gambler with my family so a decent chance I can just watch and get some enjoyment, so I pull 3-500 for the weekend as a whole; my sessions are about 100 buy-ins unless I have a plan. Keeping that logic in place a full week for gambling would be about 2000 (I don't have the income to be high roller). Also, any money I pull is never put back into my normal money stream (checking, etc), this isn't income this is fun, so anything I come back with I make as additional payments for debts to try to have some overall benefit besides enjoyment. I do stop limits on games that are electronic in nature, normally half of what I buy-in, and raise the stop as I win. Table games I wear cargo shorts and slip winnings into my pockets and play until I have no money in front of me. (really good for Pai-gow poker) Craps I normally siphon winnings for tokes for dealers and do once through the method on whatever strat I chose at the time. Hope someone found some useful tips in here. Cheers
My money management is simple, when I lose $700 or win $1400, I quit. In between, I play only Pass, Come lines and their odds. I also play only on $5 minimum with 20X odds and never place more than $5 on any single bet. The $700 is the price for the ticket I pay for a day of entertainment. The most difficult part is deciding when to quit a session or quit while you are ahead by less than $1400. I don't remember when I last lost, so my strategy has served me well.
@@jimklemens5018 I still prefer the Come bets because when you press (playing the Odd bets) you get true odds. I play only on $5 minimum with 20X max odds crap tables.
