I have done alot of signs ! If you know or have bought from the SIGN SHOP in Mulliken/Portland central Michigan area... I probably built it ! I can repurpose just about anything !
Another great adaptive reuse. I'll have to put it on my list to visit next time I am in Cincinnati. Lots of work put into building all the fake facades. I hate to see their power bill, hope you bought a t shirt. cool video.
Thanks! This place was awesome as you can see. I didn't know it was adaptive reuse until I got there. I'm an artist and designer so this place was on my list. I thought they would say no but they were cool and the interview is in one take. Very little editing. I'm going to see it Atlas Obscura is interested in my video content as it's a perfect match for them.
Kool Buildings I have never heard of the Atlas absecura before, I looked it up for indiana and i have been to many of those places already. The underground river that you take a boat in Bedford indiana is interesting. I have a Co worker who travels around every weekend going to abandoned and obscure locations each weekend for fun. there is an abandoned amusement park from the late 1800s on the Michigan/indiana border you would probably flip out over. look forward to the next video, cheers.
Sorry if this is a double response, I think the response from my phone didn't go through. Its Rose Island down by Louisville KY. I was thinking it was up in Michiana (michigan/Indiana boarder dispute area since the 1800's Toledo War. :-) ) If you go down there stop by Waverly Hills Sanatorium and chase some ghosts around.
Growing up in the 60’s and 70’s some of my fondest memories were when our family visited museums all across the US. We discovered that the finest ones are right here in Cincinnati. When this pandemic ends I will be sure to bring my way better half to your museum for a visit. Your video and presentation are both entertaining and intriguing and we are looking forward to viewing the exhibits. Thanks Kevin:
It's too bad the museum doesn't have a catalog that includes professional photos of all their signs along with the verbiage on the placards. There is no way to read every single thing in the museum and a comprehensive catalog would sell very well I think.
We were there this past week. LOVED IT!! What a cool place. People there were super as well. Highly recommend.
Whoa...😮...Fricking sweet...🤘🏼 I collect certain signs and neon signs...👌🏼💯✔
Nice tour Kevin! I'll have to come to Cincinnati
Awesome! The Letter Heads sounds like a really cool and talented group of artists. It would be cool to see them work. Best performance art ever.
I went there with my mom sister and my sisters friend!, it was really interesting! I recommended going there!
I was just there, it was great! The Speedee on the McDonald's sign wasn't working, though.

What is that abandoned amusement park called?
Kool Buildings. rose island indiana, Google it. I thought it was north but it is actually south, just north of louisville, ky.
