You watched it at "12 at midnight" ? Thats a contradiction in terms. Thats like saying "i will reverse backwards" We all know midnight is at 12. No wonder you felt awkward, your not very bright are you?

Yep, that is what some chemists do. They say you need goggles, but never wear them. I always wear goggles, and gloves, even for supposedly harmless materials during labs.
I have been fermenting 2 cups of sugar with one package of dried yeast in a half gallon of water for two weeks and refrigerating the product to settle the yeast for a week. I mix it with Bloody Mary or whiskey sour mix and I have a pretty nice drink. Actually, I drink it straight sometimes. I am 90 years old and it has not killed me yet!
lol so actually I did this experiment recently and came out smelling like beer after I discovered a hole in the balloon and got sprayed with the byproducts. Now I'm not saying a lab coat would've necessarily helped, but it would've definitely made me feel like a bonafide scientist (which is really cool in my book).
How much sugar we must add for one teaspoon yeast ? I am using saf(levure ) instant yeast but my rice flour batter doesn't rise even after six hours ? What to do ? I added 4 tablespoon sugar for 1 teaspoon yeast
yeah, sucrose is glucose-O-fructose, the yeast create an enzyme that cleaves the Oxygen and then eat the glucose for food because it's easier to break down than fructose: simply put.
Ok I've done this prac twice and both times ended up with the balloon with least sugar being the largest. Everything was as you gys did but we only left it for 20 minutes. Is this the reason behind our failures?
hello, so i notice that the balloon on the bottle with no sugar had some gas filling it. you can see between it differ on 1:54 and 2:04. can you pls explain whats happening? isnt it supposed to be no CO2 production due to no sugar?

Does it matter what type of yeast I have? I don't have instant yeast, rather I have "active dry" yeast in a ziplock I got from my Mom. Not sure the difference, and how it relates to doing this experiment.
hi there. Can u please explain why One of my homemade bottled wine exploded? I am making a bignay wine a fruit that can be found here in the philippines, and placed it in a used bottle (ALFONSO) after adding sugar and yeast at 6:00 pm, the bottle exploded at around 3 in the morning. What might be the cause?
Question...i want to make gas for using in pesticides with agriculture...can i use this liquid if i lock it and not put a baloon ...will it has a gas efect on the praying mixture????
Wait, I have a question & a video request: so I make wine & I've noticed the bubbling time is different when the lights are on vs the room is dark (no light)
Hi. I need to do this at home for school, is there any way i can measure the amount of carbon dioxide being produced (volume)??? I don't have any apparatus to do so....
+DiLLZGFX Yes, there is a reflex that causes your eyes to blink when too much light enters them, to prevent damage. That's why it's so hard to look at the sun, because you have to constantly fight to keep your eyes open, not that anyone should be doing that.
According to my textbook... Fermentation is glycolysis continuing without oxygen (with oxygen would be cellular respiration). I don't know if it's any help by now
How does yeast, sugar and black or/and green tea make scoby to create kombucha? Is this a fermentation process? Isn’t scoby just a Petri dish of bacteria? What makes a bacteria bad or good? Can you do an experiment?
Manoj Bataan it may be a little late, but most packets of yeast are made in factories. If you watch Jereme Zimmerman’s video on how to make mead like a Viking, he explains how Vikings would use natural, organic, fresh honey to made mead, because there is yeast in fresh honey. Also, along with honey, there is tiny amounts of yeast floating in the air right now, good luck!
Now, distill and enjoy your vodka. Remember to boil some extra yeast for 10 mins for some extra nutrients. Also your mixture will need a lot more sugar and time to ferment.
When washed water left over from washing uncooked rice, added with Yeast, left it for 10 days inside an airtight bottle, gives a very strong smell, what gas is that? And what by-products are produced when that solution is boiled?
when COVID19 is taking over the world and now you have to do a lab on youtube because you can't even shop for balloons
