I don’t think being alone is disastrous. You should really be clear on the distinction of choosing to live alone and loneliness. I’m single, live alone and prefer it. I have friends and family and it’s more than enough, but I prefer solitude. Being around people honestly drains me and distracts from my mental and physical health.

I personally agree with Bryan Johnson when it comes to sleeping alone - and it doesn't automatically mean he's lonely. It can mean he just prefers to sleep by himself and gets better quality sleep, especially for the sake of his protocol. I'd understand this choice as I sleep much better by myself and I'd hazard a guess that most people would sleep better solo too. It's just a social norm and a habit to sleep next to a partner - and nothing wrong with that either!

Take nicotinic acid instead, it’s far safer and is no 1 supplement for increasing nad+ (via the preiss handler pathway) which is what needed by every cell in our body to thrive. You get used to the flush and it actually dissipates once you have taken it for a week or so, I take 4gms a day, it’s given me better skin, hair, energy, blood work at age 50 than I had 8yrs ago. Also very cheap.

While I found this conversation interesting I have a lot of reservations about her lifestyle of consuming so much supplements and eating primarily a meat diet. I have become a strong proponent of Dan Buettner’s blue zone lifestyle in which he visited parts of the world where there are pockets of societies of people living without disease into their 90-100. He found common themes and one big one is they are primarily vegetarians. They also eat key foods (no supplements) that appear to keep them healthy. Read up or watch the documentaries. Very fascinating.

All of us could live longer if those that create supplements, devices and protocols would make them more affordable. I’m currently working and spending probably $300 or more a month in health supplements, more if you factor in Red Light therapy, skin care and other devises. When I retire which is not too far off, since I’m well over 50, I will not be able to afford it. The only thing I have going for me is my parents and their parents had long lives. My father is 80 and his mother passed last year at 97. I hope to accumulate some anti aging in the bank so that when my income drops I will have good health for a longer period of time.

Having some alone time is good, esp if you're an introvert, but it depends on what you mean by "aloneness". If you take it as far as isolation then that creates mental illness in people. Human beings weren't designed for isolation, and you can't take it upon yourself to rewrite the rules; it's in our DNA. I've been bullied and abused by people in my life, but I still love people and I think we're all a gift to each other. Our species wouldn't have made it this far if we all had an isolation mentality. I think love is the greatest superpower. Love thy neighbor.

So much bad advise especially for women, this scientist needs to update her knowledge in terms of fasting and carbohydrates! Working out without food as a woman is a complete disaster, it spikes your cortisol and imbalances your hormones which is especially difficult for post menopausal women but slso for women in reproductive stage of life. Complex carbs are the key to longevity, the longest lived people on earth from the blue zones eat mostly carbs and very little animal protein. Green vegetables are a must for brain health, excluding fruit and vegetables from ones diet is what causes disease in the first place.
There are no longed live people on earth that have been keto their entire lives and that should say something.
