In this video we head to the North Yorks Moors for a spot of wild camping. The dark sets in early at this time of year so you have to keep yourself entertained during the long night, wine often helps in my experience, and maybe a downloaded film on your phone. Links to some of the gear used -

Hahahahahahahaha! What was that pub scene!? Hahahahaha, brilliant! Sounds like the Jabberwocky may have been present on this camp! I also agree about the real turmat meals, by far the best of those meals you can buy. The vegan red bean is also really nice, super tasty! Not sure I'd want to camp up that way on my own, but it would be great for a Halloween camp. Atb mate. Martin
Hi Martin, the song is called 'Ee-by-gum' by the Inbred band, I'll link the full song, it's from a low budget horror I watched a few weeks back, it's mint 😂. Definitely a bit spooky up on the NY moors, they're only up the road from me but I don't go there that often, although there are some great areas to wild camp. Watch out for them werewolves. If you see a gypsy ask for some wolfs bane. If you wake up in the middle of the night and you feel something kissing your face, don't kiss back. It may not be your lady friend.

Hi! Yes it's a shame the building has gone to ruin, I don't think anyone is interested in the upkeep of these old buildings anymore. I hope all is well in Wisconsin! 👍

Thanks mate, it was an atmospheric place. In the summer I think the old steam trains run through the valley, I'm no train spotter but I can imagine it's a sight to behold 👍
@@Adventure-Outdoors They do, and there's some request stops you can almost get to where you camped by train from Levisham Station or Pickering, apart from creepy crawlys there's Adders. funny frequencies no phone reception probably Fylingdales. Great video.

Thanks Paul, it was worth making the effort to get out. The weather over this way has been crap; a blanket of cloud has covered Yorkshire for about 2 months non stop. We're heading to the Lakes today, sub zero and snow on the cards so should be fun 😂👍.
@@Adventure-Outdoors yes the temperature dropped sharply here this week. I was hammocking Tuesday and it got down to -2C but it was great to be out in the hills.

Good video, only one suggestion, buy the Helinox so much more comfortable than Big Agnes! Yes twice the price guessing you are a Yorkshireman 😂😂

Hi mate, I’m too tight to buy the Helinox 😂, although I have thought about it. Lots of Parking in Levisham just by the road, I always just park in front of the pub on the left hand side. My bikes are just gathering dust in the garage at the minute 🙁. Atb 👍
Beautiful moorland landscape and camping spot. the 10 minutes from 5:50 to 6pm sounded particularly painful though!

Cracking video Ben, I want to get over to that Skelton tower and have a mooch around. I don't know how you both held out until 6pm for the wine. I think we cracked open the beer about 4pm at Scales tarn. Looks like you both enjoyed it anyway 👌
Cheers mate. You need an early start on the booze with these dark nights but I only had a litre, it didn’t last two minutes 😂. It’s a good location, no one around either. Could be a good option for a lads camp as it’s only an hours drive for everyone 👍
