    Where did you get the second set of wires you spliced the dehumidifier to? The green and blues ones. Where do they connect?

      They come with the dehumidifier. They connect to the dehumidifier board. You connect both sets of wires so that you bypass the board and the on/off switch. It makes more sense when you have taken apart the dehumidifier. Let me know if I haven't been clear.

      After building my own the thought of selling them crossed my mind but then I thought of the risk of one malfunctioning and how that could affect the buyer and myself. I think it's best to build your own and assume the risk yourself. Just something I thought about for a while.

    where do you collect the water extracted by the humidifier?

    • @BigUncGotGas
      @BigUncGotGas  13 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Theres already a whole for drainage at the bottom of the wine fridge which is then collected on a small tray underneath i do suggest to keep a eye on it every 2-3days or remove the tray and add a bigger catcher underneath… but from experience so far i haven't had much worries on it over filling.

      The info is free for anyone to use as they see fit. Quit your whining. The person who showed me how to do this learned it from someone else. Anyone can Google "diy cannatrol" and learn how to build their own. Just pay it forward and that's it. 🤐

    What the Cannatrol does is hold a steady climate without swings.
    Your device is NOT doing that. You will have wide swings which means this is NOT a DIY Cannatrol. It's just a modified wine fridge.
    This thing will evaporate so much of your terps.

      I adjust my temp @ 55% Fahrenheit and it holds that temperature throughout the whole process as for humidity i gradually drop my RH% by 2% Every 24hr until i get to 60%RH

      Thats not true.. The moment you put wet buds in it the humidity will rise (no longer a steady climate), it takes a few days for it to stabilize the humidity (at no point is that stable).. so during the dry process theres no way its "holding a steady climate" maybe during the hold or cure stage when the bud is already dry but even then, at a certain point they ask you wet a sponge and place it inside so it doesn't over dry your bud.... man as I think about it more and more that claim is a flat out lie. If it can maintain a steady climate why do I need to add moisture? It should be holding right where it is right?

      How exactly does a cannatrol work then? Doesn't it have some type of dehumidifier that kicks on when the RH gets too high?

    • @b_lumenkraft
      @b_lumenkraft 16 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@starfishprime2864 the difference is the magnitude. The Cannatrol swings in a very tiny range. Under 1% and only very few. Which is not causing the tichomes to expand and contract. When you introduce hard swings like this device does, you cause terpenes to evaporate (i.e. you can smell them - in the Cannatrol you don't smell shit).
