The detailed commentary on the buck's features, the challenging conditions, and the intense anticipation leading up to the final shot all contribute to the excitement. It's clear that this hunt was a true test of endurance, with the hunters putting in days of hard work to finally connect with this incredible trophy. The result is a memorable and impressive trophy that stands as a testament to their dedication and expertise.
@@nmelkhunter1 You obviously don’t hunt Mule Deer. Yes they count, but you don’t get it. I’m not trying to say they shouldn’t count for score, I’m saying the vast majority of us Mule Deer hunters out west say we shot a “four point” if we shot a buck with four points on both sides and eye guards. That’s it, everyone out west gets what I’m saying and I’m just giving them a hard time. Settle down.
@@specforged5651 You're right, I have NEVER hunted mule deer. In fact, I didn't know mules and deer could breed. What's more, is I've never hunted west of the east coast unless New Mexico, Wyoming, Colorado, Utah, Arizona and Idaho count. I also guess growing up in New Mexico also doesn't lend anything to my credibility. That's silly comment number two. You're on a roll.
You guys are STUDS. That was a great hunt and I can tell you I felt like I was there with you. Great videoing from the camera man. We need more people like you in this world and gosh dang what a buck man alive what a buck - I would have to score you guys at like 235 inch buck for such a great hunt. Keep up the great videos please.
"He's in here, just laying down flat. Other people are just walking and driving by him but he's in here" Thats exactly what I tell my kids every year when we go hunting. The bucks are there, you just gotta wait them out! The other thing is that if you don't have a clean shot, that buck will be there again next time. We'll usually put eyes on horns every time we go out but won't pull the trigger until mid season. The stalk is all part of the fun!
No one has orange on... Must be on private land. On some ranch. Where Theres no other hunter's for miles. And the deer havent been hunted for years. Oh the joys of being a magazine hunter.
Nice buck but it seems you guys are on private land that is locked up and leased....nobody else can hunt it! Let's see you go to a general unit on public land and pull this off.
I'm pretty sure they said this is in a general unit, but regardless, the Eastman's, the entire family, have a long and hallowed record of doing just that, taking trophies on public land. In fact, that's been the principal driver for them going back generations, including the title of both books and articles. This is a family that's known for its public land pursuits.
It’s actually not a limited trophy unit. That’s a General deer tag. Which in Wyoming means over the counter for residents. So this is not some top premier unit.
There are many reasons why a person chooses to hunt, and it's different for everyone. This is a good read about one of many motivations for hunters: blog.eastmans.com/in-defense-of-trophy-hunting/
@@EastmansHuntingJournals funny I never thought about trophy hunting like that but it is true we do this with farm animals too the bigger the cow and bigger the bull the more meat we can get from it. Especially since older animals are less likely to have healthy offspring or offspring at all. Plus if you have too many older bulls you run the risk of them killing the younger ones to maintain herd supremacy. Good article from the perspective of trophy hunters. I think most people don't realize that the meat is used regardless of which animal is killed whether it be a massive buck or a doe.

Try 7x10, I don’t care where you live, you don’t count the brow tines! Geesh, I guess they count everything on whitetails, mule deer especially you don’t count those!

Really enjoy the eastmans shows. Top quality and treat the game with the respect it deserves
Beautiful bucks great character buck Ike congratulations
There sure are plenty of buck to chose from. Congrats on 3 bucks
Beautiful mule deer capture
Three beautiful bucks
Eye guards don’t count here out west with mule deer Lol. Incredible buck, nice work!
I count by the fish and game would, you aren’t going to get ticketed for shooting a “2x2” with eyegaurds in a 3pt min
@@thevidkid1436 It’s just a saying dude. Settle down.
That’s a silly comment since they count for B&C and SCI.

Absolute Stud!! And dropped him with the savage!! All I shot is a savage in 270 or 7mm 08!
Any Savage is a good bet! Thanks for your comment
Yes they are! For the price they shoot just as good as any in my opinion! Between me and my dad we have 6 savage rifles! 4 of them in 270!
Very very nice hunting ❤❤❤❤❤
Cool stuff! 😀
Unique hobby, i like bro
Congratulations guys

You can't eat antlers but they sure look great above the fireplace.

Absolutely great video. I loved the flash backs so we really got to see 3 monster bucks get shot.
So in Wyoming you only have to wear a blaze or hat on a rifle hunt?
brilliant.....
wow great my boss always success for my boss success always for my boss
Wicked bucks
We agree 👍👊
Nice
Great buck I've only seen a handful of these bucks they are tough on public land. What did he score?
That buck gross scored 202"
30-06 caliber 150 grain
Clipped the horn of other deer to.
Sick
No bow no go . Easy rifle shot

Nice hunt cut the background music
I agree, while I am a fan of classic WW2 movies, they do sound weird in this video.
Thanks for watching - some of those tracks were composed for Gordon Eastman’s wildlife and hunting films in the 1960s. We appreciate the feedback 👍
What is the rifle chambered in?
Ike was shooting a 6.5 Creedmoor Horandy ELD-X 143 grain out of a SavageArms Model 110. Thanks for your question!
Can you imagine the pain these animals suffer ????... sick sick sick people !!!!
You do not kill God's creation for fun. We must have respect for life. God bless you.
Please, please show me a hunt that’s not on a limited, trophy unit. What you guys do isn’t hunting. Eastman’s = paper champions.
