I am a Scottish American and I absolutely love learning about the country
It's telling to see how much bigger Loz is than these very, very strong men. Then you remember that Brian, Thor and Tom dwarf even Loz. Biggest bloke I ever saw outside of strongman comp was a a plumber at a factory I worked at. Amateur bodybuilder. Stood around 6'5", must have weighed 320lbs off season. Huge. But 3 inches shorter and nearly 100lbs lighter than Brian and Tom. It's nonsense how big these dudes are.
I was thinking the same Loz is massive but looks small next to them strongmen
@@kevinworrall231 Loz used to be bigger, he was around 160kg at his peak competition weight I think. Looks a good 15kg lighter now.
@@markheywood8236 yeah he used to be Britain's big hope in the WSM competition before Eddie Hall and now Stolman brothers
@@kevinworrall231 Yeah he came along just between Terry Hollands' peak years and before Eddie's peak years. He won Europe's strongest man in 2016 beating Thor fair and square in a really heavy show.
He's held world records in car carry, yoke and frame carry I think. And for a short period about a decade ago he held the deadlift world record - shared with Brian Shaw at about 430kgs. Top five at WSM a coupla times. Proper world class strongman.

I'm from Ireland.My ancestors were all Scottish.I am what the americans call Scots-Irish.I would like to know who is the guy (8 mins 20 secs) that says that the Irish would beat the Scots at stone lifting.Has he never heard of Big Tom Stoltman.I have been a fan of the WSM since the early 80's and i have never seen any human being handle stones as easy as Tom does.
