Much love as always, Phil! I must say, I have been a "Club DJ" that plays on CDJs, and I, just as yourself, learned to beat match decades ago on belt drive, shit decks. Lol! The freghin' FLX-10, in my humble opinion, is Pioneer's (Alpha Theta, whatever the hell one wants to call 'em) is the best purchase for any DJ above the "beginner" level to purchase. Now, that being said, Rekordbox REALLY needs to get their stems in order, bc my GOODNESS are they way behind! I almost purchased the X-Zed prior to making my purchase of the FLX-10, but I simply couldn't justify the extra grand simply for "Stand Alone" purpose, especially when all 4 channels cannot TRULY be utilized. FLX-10 is something I've owned for about 3 months now, and I truly love it. I cannot justify having 10 grand worth of DJ equipment in my studio (I'm also a producer) simply because it's the "standard". I love the CDJs and the DJM A-9, but anyone could learn and transfer what they learn from a great controller such as the FLX-10 to the club, sans the pads. Thanks again for all you do. One final comment: I have not (nor will I until I get the okay from you) plugged my Twitch channel in here. Is that unacceptable on this stream? If not, totally understood, hence why I'm asking, but I had to ask, bc otherwise I wouldn't be staying on top of things. Cheers to you and the team, brotha.
The comment about Engine DJ being poor at selecting sources is surprising, I can’t comment on Prime or Numark units but the SC6000’s source switching is not only better but way more intuitive than CDJ’s and Pioneer standalone gear. This includes everything from 2TB level installed hardrive, 3 USB ports, SD card, WiFi (Beatport, CloudStorage etc)…
On the all in one controllers, if U decide to go from USB or onboard data as source, over to a computer as your source, for example to use Serato. The entire unit has to shut down and reboot to use the DJ software I love my denon sc live4 with two LC6000's attached via USB..but the reboot to switch to the mixing software is a big let down.
Hi Phil - I bought the FLX10 on your recommendation. I love it. I think I’m ready to add a third deck to my mixes, but would like a physical platter to add to my set up. Can you advise me the best way to do this in my current set up? Cheers 😊

I’ve been thinking of getting something like the Akai LPD8 to have dedicated control for the volume on channels 3/4 and I saw someone online who had assigned the pitch fader controls to an encoder. Does anyone have any experience with that? Any tips, tricks, or other small midi controller suggestions for something like this?

Hi phil would that stand that can tilt your controller you showed, support the weight of the denon prime 4? This is exactly what I need but I'm worried it won't support the weight of the prime 4
No, is from the channel... I wanted to point this out many times, but I didn't want to upset anyone. The highs are a bit lacking and there are too many low mids. I always use the EQ on the mixer when I watch this channel to increase intelligibility! Maybe is just from the frequency response of the mic that is used...

The spiral effect on the xdj-xz DOES HAVE TIME ADJUST there's literally a time knob plus the time reacts to the sliding control left to right.
On DDJ 1000 you can only adjust the timing with the "BEAT" arrows. You don't have a pad or continuous "TIME" knob.

Ha. I just stick a water bottle under my Denon mc7000. Tilts it about perfectly for me.
