Can we just mention how awesome Hugh Grant was in this, the amount of script he had to learn and then play against type, such a great performance. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Have to say... Laura has her dads looks (Sting). Hugh Grant deserved an Oscar for his performance. Hats off to Colin Farrell, Mathew M, & Charlie H. Excellent team. Great movie. Thanks for posting.
Bro, the black guy in the movie, and the singer of the music video at the end, is Bugsy Malone. One of the biggest UK rappers. He's from Manchester, hence the accent... Check bugsy out
9/10 Guy Ritchie Yes, I am tempted to say he's back. It's not that he went away or didn't have at least some decent movies over the last few years. I haven't seen Aladdin, but it was succesful sort of. But this is right up his alley! This is pure and enjoyable Guy Ritchie, with timeline cuts and jumps and characters that one may think only he can write. It's so great to see Matthew McConaughey joining the ranks, being a substitue for Jason Statham I reckon. But also having Hugh Grant in this ... role/character. Genius! Who'd have thunk it, and he kills it (no pun intended). At least a few twists will be easy to spot, but I don't think one can guess everything. Even so, the movie is so well made, it won't really matter. If you like the genre, this is the one to watch. Fun and thrilling to the end ...
Omg! I'm actually 2 episodes into the Netflix series and I absolutely love it! I'm glad I stopped to check my notifications. I love this movie so much and I think y'all are going to love the series!
I'm not going to lie. Just by a hair, this is probably my favorite Guy Ritchie film. Everything comes together so perfectly to create such an entertaining masterpiece from beginning to end. The Gentlemen is a phenomenal film!
Guy Ritchie did direct Aladdin. His style is pretty all over it. I worked at a movie theater when The Gentlemen came out and me and one of my best friends would rush to clean the theaters playing The Gentlemen so we could listen to Boxes of Bush. This movie is so good! I had to force my friends to see it and it was so much better than any of us anticipated. Also, one of my favorite Charlie Hunnam roles.
Watched 3 episodes today and I went in not expecting it to top the original. I was surprised on how much I enjoyed it. The characters missing were felt but there was enough fun to forget about the movie. The only thing is it felt like the dhow redcon the weed from Matthew’s character. Felt like he should have been in the first episode then handed it over somehow to the lady.
@@Syntell oh I will do and I live in England and saw them filming this in London which was fun to walk past a few times. Location shooting STOKE PARK is where they shot Ray's house with a BBQ and is a beautiful place. It was used in LAYER CAKE (which I highly recommend you check out) and in Dr No James Bond.
There was a Lock Stock TV series that aired in the UK on terrestrial television (Channel 4, I believe). The full series was definitely shown for a few weeks 'cos I remember seeing bits randomly. Didn't hook me in. Probably just 1 series.
My mom in law's an RN. From what I'm told, it's highly highly unlikely old boy at the end could survive removing a pound of flesh. He's far too skinny. That was a death sentence for him. Lol
9:38 This. Edit: If we still lived in the world of Network TV, I don't think Snatch would have made it to the broader US audience but with YT, NetFlix et al, that magic was shared and a local classic was introduced to the world.
You boys should watch Mr Nice. The real life story of Howard Marks, one of the biggest weed importers into the Western World back in the 1970s and 80s. Seen him a couple of times talking about his life and stories from back in the day. He tells it exactly like it is in the film.
Damn Covid. If this had come out any other year, it would have done gangbusters at the box office, but it went straight to streaming, so it's been kind of overlooked.
Hugh Grant in the British programme, A Very British Scandal, where he portrays the scandalous Conservative MP Jeremy Thorpe, is one of his greatest acting roles. The reason Guy Richie is able to get people to act contrary to type, is because he's reinvented his own background and class. He comes across as a cockney working class Brit, when in fact he's from the upper class. His mother is a Baroness and father a Lord. He had a very privileged life.

Couldn't agree more! He did his thing.
Personally I think it's his best ever performance
The role is also such a big fat finger for the smut press that has been so hard on him.
Colin Farrell was excellent in this. 😉
He and Charlie were my best two! But the others was awesome as well
“Calm the Ph-uck down”
Is he ever not? I mean he was good in DAREDEVIL! He made the movie tolerable along with Jennifer Garner's booty.
"Ffs Ray, you need to invest in some parachutes" haha

Damn the girl -- woman -- that played Laura is 34?

Welcome back!
We can’t wait to get started in the series.
Hopefully it will be ready by tomorrow.
I want you, to become a chicken!
Watched the first one. Won't be watching another. Film was brilliant. Series ... Yeuk.
At this point I just click on when I see you and Rekkai, regardless of the topic!! THANKS!!!! (By the way, I LOVED "The Man From U.N.C.L.E.!!!")
You're the best!
Same 😂
I agree these are two of my favorites reactors to watch! They are like Hennessy, Courvoisier and Remy Martin
I love the line. "when the lion is hungry, he eats". Just the way he delivers it, the camera angle, it's just so badass.

Yes! Great Guy Ritchie Film!
So underrated too
Just about to get into the series, seen the movie before but it’s such a good film to watch with others
Hopefully we’ll have the first episode of the series out by tomorrow.

Make sure you came back to check out our review of episode 1.

This movie is truly entertaining.😉
Discovered you guys today, you chaps are awesome! My new favourite reactors

The scene at the end with Mickey in the back of the car is a homage to the final scene of a 1980's British gangster film "The Long Good Friday"
Yes. I love your discussions and can't wait to see what u say about this.🎉❤
Loved this movie, can’t wait to see the series.
Perfect, just about to watch the Netflix show & this popped up 😀
Let us know what you think about the series.
Series is definitely worth a watch
Yall should watch Kingsman too
I would also suggest Layer Cake one of the best hidden gem crime films which got Daniel Craig the part of Bond.
Henry Cavill has been busy he was just in the movie Argylle. 😉
Thank you for sharing!❤
My first Guy Ritchie film was Snatch, Ive not missed one since. My Dream Collab would be Quentin Tarentino, Guy Ritchie, and Robert Rodriguez.
Love the reaction format and yall are so chill, fs gonna be a regular

Up until now I had never considered that they were feeding the pound of flesh to Fletcher 😂😂
9:38 This.

Guy Ritchie has transformed Hugh from a posh boy in brit flicks to a baddie and it works !
I laughed a lot during this great video but the bit that had me laughing the loudest when you said "Russian? That does not look good!" Subscribed.

He was knicked with 80 TONNES of weed in Ireland. Say no more 😂😂
I remember laughing non stop at the pig scene.
Damn Covid. If this had come out any other year, it would have done gangbusters at the box office, but it went straight to streaming, so it's been kind of overlooked.
I got a real kick out of seeing those accents coming from those actors. 😉
Everybody showed up with their "A" game.
the only reaction that left out colin's part in sub deli when he slaps round them kids wow!

Love British gangster movies as they keep their boundaries
I’m not sure if someone mentioned, but the movie exec at the end is actually Guy Ritchie
Agree that this movie & The Covenant were relatively more toned down from Guy Ritchie and in turn his 2 best movies since 2015's The Man from UNCLE.
In my opinion this is Hugh Grants best performance
That was a member of the royal family. He helped dukes and earls. Etc. And the let him build underground on their property
You gotta react to the kingsman secret service please and thank you
Green Street Hooligans
There are few films I will 10\10 but this is one of them along with his other movie snatch
That was Guy Ritchie in the office that Fletcher was pitching the movie to.
No it wasn't. But it was an actor intended to look like him.
U must watch Revoler
Starring Jason Statham, ray liotta,&andre 3000.
Directed by Guy Ritchie
Originally mickey was english but mathew couldnt do the accent so guy ritchie rewrote the script
i do believe it is 40 containers mukka.
That’s what Diddy did! Diddy did it and did it and did it over and over again!
23:17 😂😂😂😂
Yes us Brits are quite fond of a bifta or twelve.
😉😉
warning, the series is pretty annoying.
