The book that made me believe in love was, "The Memory of Us, " by Camille Di Maio. This was such a beautiful story of love that survives time and through separation. I totally heart Still, Reel and Transcendence as well.
I've read Transcendence more times than I can count by this time and every time I read it I cry so ugly. It guts me each time. Since the first time I read it, it's number 1.
Outlander Series by Diana Gabaldon, The Others series by Anne Bishop, Darkfever Series by Karen Marie Moning I know a lot wouldn't consider the last two romance but I love a good slow burn. I do enjoy a regular person meets person and fall in love in 1 book but I really like when that shit drags on. It's so much better when they finally admit they love each other.
I love the premise of this video! And I loved your passion for each of these books (hence me adding them all to my TBR)! I have a few books that live rent free in my head too. One that kept coming to mind as you talked about all the things you loved about these stories is Storm by Serena Akeroyd. It's an MC book but doesn't have to be read in order. This book is what soulmate level love is to me. 🖤
When I read the title of this video, I instantly thought of Still (the whole Grip series, but Still in particular) because that is the epitome of a perfect romace for me. I absolutely loved Wolfsong and I am so happy that this one was on your list. I do need to read Transcendence though. Again the Magic is a magical one. I don't agree about Sarah MacLean, but she is a hit or miss for me. I want to try those Kennedy Ryan books but I don't think she is author for me as I have tried like 5 books but I am tempted with the grip trilogy. Esoecially with how much you love those books. Thanks for sharing.
Sarah MacLean always has her heroine's agency as top priority in her books, which is why she has such appeal to a modern reader, so if you don't like that then she definitely won't be for you. Selflessness on the part of her heroes specifically (although her heroines do this too) is what wins me over every time. They do what's best for the heroine's, and that's what love is to me. Putting your partner's needs before your own. And I will die on the hill that Kennedy Ryan is the best current romance writer. 😍 So hopefully you love the Grip trilogy because it is really fantastic.

Maybe it's because I read the first book to the series where he was balls deep in someone else at a public event and was caught by his wife and her sister, and didn't give a single damn. And he wanted to keep going 🤣 I wanted to find him redeemable but I couldn't
