CHESTER MODE ACTIVATED
+Silly Siji XD yes thats the best of him
+Fabian Bartlett he screamed like a ssj
+Silly Siji everytime I watch this video I look at your comment and laugh. 1:25 wow
That pitch note is hectic, plus a awesome way to get the crowed into the band.that mash pit must have been chaotic.
15 years later....and still the best songs of all time!
True🤘🏼
Hybrid theory and meteora are fucking timeless
+SweBass extremely agreed!
Hybrid theory have learned something in my life, and i didnt uinderstand the lyrics when i was 16 years old ;) epic band neo metal forever
actually music with guitars and drums....
"If you dig this song you can check it out on the internet, on Napster or whatever"
What a time
I did the other way around. Downloaded Hybrid Theory EP from Napster and bought Hybrid Theory after discovering Linkin Park on Napster
Damn Chester moved mountains with that voice. Were blessed to have had him for 41 amazing years.
True
New song just dropped today.
His voice is still alive, but he died. That new song is just his voice recorded and not released till now.
@@jeff30458 what`s the name of a song?
He was pretty hit and miss live. Points of Authority, probably my fave song off the first record, sounds bad here. I saw them in 2001 on Ozzfest, and it was hit and miss too.

maurit21 thanks for reminding me T.T
Me neither! I once had the chance to go but I thought my parents would say no so I didn't. I see that I missed some great opportunities =( I hope I don't lose the chance with other bands.
That's too bad :/
I feel like I have to grab every single opportunity no matter what until it's too late.
I was never affected by a death of a "celebrity" but now i am and it sucks hard.
maurit21 This is also the first time I really was affected by a famous person's death, like I was kinda sad when Michael Jackson and Robin Williams died but Chester's death sucks
maurit21 same
it's crazy that chester's wearing a stone temple pilots shirt here and then a decade later he goes on to be their lead singer
STP was his best friends band RIP Chris Cornell and Chester 😩
Chills
@@FastNCurious88 stone temple pilots is not related to Chris in any way shape or form though... lol.

That intro symbolizes just how Linkin Park took the world by storm - they exploded on the stage with musical precision, energy and attitude. 6 college kids with no musical pedigree burst in with no egos and just cleaned up. With Chester's passing, it just makes these old shows even more nostalgic, the music was their strength and it lives on.
Well said. Some people don't know what it was like to be an impending teen in the early 2000's. The only music I knew was whatever was on pop radio (boy bands and Britney) or classic rock...LP introduced me to heavy rock and hip-hop. Say what you want about the other albums but Hybrid Theory and Meteora are classics.
Yep, there is a lot of hate out there, especially from musical snobs who don't do 'radio'. It's not LP's fault they got so popular and mainstream took them to the next level. Hybrid Theory and Meteora are certainly classics, what a time it was.
Eehh it wasnt LP's fault they got so popular? Hahaha :D
What do you mean with no musical pedigree? Every one of these guys were musically inclined.
@@MrGrifter123 meaning no moms or dads in the business to ride coat tails or learn from.
Crazy that Chester is wearing a STP shirt and he ended up being the lead singer one day
What a legacy.
My son Derrick loved you guy's. Derrick 12-15-91 12-10 -13. RIP
Sorry for your loss. Everything feels so random and chaotic. There is no certainty. I know your pain is intense. Turn it into a force of love for those around you.
Same. Love from France.❤
Hope you're holding up well!
Understand what they are singing about that plagues them and us all.

This is my story:
I was at the age of 8 years old (2003) when I discovered Linkin Park via my brother. I was totally impressed that music like this did exist. It was a hard time for me because my parents just got divorced and I couldn’t get over it because I thought it wasn’t natural. I have the Asperger Syndrome which makes me obsessed with things and I’m quite a weirdo. In school I had no friends, although I tried, and everyone didn’t want have something to do with me. I was not like the other kids and locked myself in the toilets etc. My older brother was going through his puberty so he had problems with himself which is logical. He was always there for me but I understand he had a lot of problems on his mind as well.
Life didn’t make sense to me. I saw no reason to keep on living because I saw my life as a whole failure and there was no one who would understand me. English is not my mother tongue but it’s Dutch so sometimes it looks similar to English. I listened to Hybrid Theory and Meteora and loved it. I had a feeling in the music and in the voice that made come over true emotions to me. I started to listen to it every day and I was always looking forward to listen to it when I was going through another hard day at school. At home my parents (read: mother and stepfather) were always perfecting me and complaining to me about how I should have been. My life kinda looked like the girl her life in the video of Numb.
I want to thank Linkin Park for saving my life because without them, I would have commit suicide on the age of 8 years old.
I stutter since I was a child and it may sound kind of funny, but the main reason I stutter is because of people wouldn’t let me finish when I’m talking and I found so much understanding back then in Chester screaming ‘Shut up when I’m talking to you!!’ Through those years I smashed my face so many times against the wall when the screaming parts were playing and I abreacted myself so hard on it. Listening to songs like In The End… Even the beginning tune is already so sensible, right? You could just FEEL the emotions and that it was meant so real. In 2 years time I listened at least every day to both Hybrid Theory and Meteora twice, which makes a sum of about 1,500 times in 2 years.
Linkin Park helped me out through the hardest time in my life and I would like to thank them for that forever. I don’t want any kind of compassion but I just like to share this story with random people I don’t know and maybe some people can somehow relate to it.
I saw Linkin Park at Rock Werchter 2017 in Belgium and it was Chester’s fourth last show. Well, that was some emotional night. At some moments, sometimes even weeks before the show, I cried because I realized myself I was going to see the almighty Linkin Park. That day Blink-182 and System Of A Down played there as well. I wanted to see all three of them at the front area but it was a numbered area so if it was full, nobody else could join it anymore. I was thirsty and hungry and needed to go to the toilet very bad, but I kept staying there for the legends and my heroes Linkin Park. When the intro was playing and I was blinded by the lights, I was shivering on my legs from stress… The moment was really going to happen!
I read the setlist before on setlist.fm so I would have an idea what they were going to play and I knew the fifth song was One Step Closer and the first old one at the set. During the intro I was standing there with my hand before my mouth from amazement because I knew they were going to play it… When Brad hit the first notes I was already jumping like a lunatic and I couldn’t stop crying singing along until the refrain was there, haha. During the show I cried at least 5 or 6 times. Through the years I saw a lot of bands and during a lot of songs I wiped a tear away, but I’ll never forget the moment that In The End started and I burst out in tears like a baby. These days In The End reminds me of my former best friend who left me because I couldn’t hide my feelings for her anymore and we never talked again since that day. Probably the song I’ve listened the most ever to in my life.
After the show, my legs were hurting so hard and I got a hard cramp in my both legs. I couldn’t even walk anymore and a friend of mine massaged my legs for 20 minutes and it helped. I’ll never forget that and that another friend of me drove to this sacred place where Linkin Park performed a legendary awesome set. (It’s On TH-cam by the way) I could feel a part of my cramps even 3 days after the show, haha. But it was worth it…
Chester, I’m happy that we came together in frame on TH-cam during Crawling. It’s now my desktop picture and that will never change. I hope you truly found calmness, silence, peace and eternal rest now. We will love you forever and I know you did your best to fight and keep alive as long as you could on this fucked up world. You saved me and many other people and you and your music will never be forgotten because it will be a part of music history. Although, I have to say you did one unfair thing: I still wasn’t cried out when I was thinking about the concert so how can I ever know how many times I would have cried when I was thinking back about the concert?? I guess it would have never end, buddy. But I know I’m crying right now, and it’s actually not because of the concert… Maybe, before you hung yourself you thought: ‘I tried so hard, and got so far, but in the end, it really doesn’t even fucking matter!’
Sleep tight, hero.
This deserves more likes (ben jaloers dat jij wel een concert heb kunnen bekijken)
♥️
Maybe not the best of all time but Linkin Park is the best band in our generation. RIP Chester. He saved so many lives of others.
chester and linking park save a lot of lives. they saved mine. i did never see theme live............ i envy you.
Shinelundaa Enkhbaatar each one has their best band of all time, for me is Linkin Park. I may not listen to them everyday anymore, but I know they were the most important band in my life. Because of them, I started listening to music that I really liked, and discovered the kind of music that I like, started playing guitar, formed my first band, wanted to get a spiked red hair (because of mike on One Step Closer lol), and the first death that I really felt bad and cried about. They will forever have influence in my life, and I’m really proud of it.

David Duncan that's not true. Minutes to Midnight had some real gems in it, and there was some efing awesome Lp underground songs (Qwerty and Carousel. Qwerty is my favourite LP song.)
Meteora a little better imo
Both first two albums are true masterpieces!

2001 - the time when no fucking smartphones were disturbing the atmosphere of a concert...
Soulbound I don't understand it. Why record it on your little iPhone when you can just google the much better pro-shot footage?
To film the little moments, I also do this at concert, but only about 2% of every set
Why not just experience them through your living being rather than through an electronic screen?
