Actually it isn't just for females the action and character designs can be for males as well in the original She Ra actually got a lot of attention from both males and females while He-Man, She-Ra's literal brother almost exclusively got attention from the male side of the spectrum.

I am actualy old enough to remember the original show from the 80s and this remake is just so, so,sooooo much better. Better character design, better animation, better themes and better writing. Now let me get back to my knitting ;-)

In the hot tub scene, Bow has a binder. Also "I'm like the only one here who's not a princess" and at the end, when all the princesses glow with rainbow power, Bow glows a little bit too. He's definitely trans (I think I heard that the writers confirmed that Perfuma is trans too? But there isn't in-show evidence that I'm aware of) ALSO, the way Madame Razz talks about "my Mara" kind of hints that she was married to Mara, the last She-Ra from 1000 years ago. What I'm saying is that this is a hella gay show
I didn't think Bow was trans, even tho my friend said he might be. I can totally see it. Perfuma, idk. Glimmer, maybe? Because every other princess's name ends with -a, but Glimmer's doesn't. Her name is an outlier. Possibly because she chose it herself?

I disagree. I have a heart for some queer/gay romantic readings of the show (Bow and Seahawk, Scorpia is definitly gay to me, I wanna see more of Netossa and Spinerella and Bows dads). But then again: I find it refreshing to not have romance as a centre. It's closest to a cast full of aromantic canon characters I expect to see in the next years. I haven't seen this ever before and I crave for that.

Honestly, when i learned one another one of my childhood shows was having a remake, i wasn't too fond of the idea. I thought it would be just another remake amongst the other dozens of remakes from the past few years, but i was pleasantly surprised. It's more of a parade than a remake, it takes the original premise, and makes it into a much more diverse and really beautiful cartoon. Having a strong woman protagonist was pretty crazy back when she-ra first became a thing, and now, with this day in age, they did it again with even more diverse characters. It is once again sticking out from the crowd with lgbt characters and people of color. I even wonder if there will be a trans character, as that is even more tedious than gay characters because it is harder to understand.

The whole reason I got interested in this show was the Catra and Adora split. I normally do not like it when the initial conflict is a strong disagreement between two characters but this show did such a good job at making it feel real rather than a lazy trope.
I need adora to love Catra either as a best friend (growing up together is basically sisterhood for them at this point)/sisterhood, or romantic We must Must Must Have Catra appreciated and loved by Adora So she doesn’t feel hurt and betrayed anymore
i always enjoy watching videos dissecting tv shows and movies i love, but i never realised so many people find flashbacks boring/annoying/etc lol, they were and still are one of my favourite things in media and most of my favourite episodes/movies involve flashbacks 😅
On reflection I think it's just that I got *so invested* in Catra and Adora's relationship that all the other ones just felt bland by comparison. I still hope they receive more love in the upcoming seasons. I've watched all of the series, and honestly when Netossa said "My wife" I was surprised cuz they never specified their relationship but now that I watched this I noticed that they have each other's chokers witch is a nice little hint that I didn't notice until now. I love that!! So not only are they one of the first LGBT couples in a kids show but also the first married couple!! 😍🥰

Oof I just finished season 1! Wild stuff for a kids show but done masterfully and for all ages to understand. It’s downright chilling between Catra and Adora but the wholesome relationships are so heart warming and deep. Really incredible - also the queerness, diversity, and utter dissimilation of toxic gender rolls makes me happy beyond the moon it’s so good and not at all in your face in any way. Awesome video I loved all your points and they were so well explained and thought out! Incredible job!!

Oof I just finished season 1! Wild stuff for a kids show but done masterfully and for all ages to understand. It’s downright chilling between Catra and Adora but the wholesome relationships are so heart warming and deep. Really incredible - also the queerness, diversity, and utter dissimilation of toxic gender rolls makes me happy beyond the moon it’s so good and not at all in your face in any way. Awesome video I loved all your points and they were so well explained and thought out! Incredible job!!
