I got Both the xdobo storm 1988 and the JBL charge 5, Both amazing. Both well balanched with crisp highs and pumpy base, quite v shaped tho great seperation. Xdobo sounds like it has more "room" so to speak. It handles low end more effortless. JBL charge 5 is very well balanched and more vocal forward sounding. Overall sound seperation seems a little better on the JBL tho, at higher volumes it sounds quite compressed compared to the xdobo wich sounds very open at all frequency ranges. For the money i would definitely choose the xdobo over the JBL. Even for the same price it would be hard to decide. Charge 5 is a little smaller so easier to take with you. Both sound great 🤷🏻♂️
In the balanced mode I would say the JBL Charge 5 and Xdobo Storm 1988 has the best sound quality the Tronsmart is too boxy for me and the X8 Max sounds so hollow in the mids and the treble is too boosted that it sounds too ear piercing.. In the Bass mode it is almost the same as the balanced mode .. the Tronsmart's only change is the boost on the lows and highs and X8 Max is I don't know its not bad but it's not good either .. if only the sharpness in 3.7 - 5.8 khz is reduced by maybe 2 or 3 DB and increase 2 db in 800hz - 2.6 khz area it would sound great I think but its too hollow for me also the upper treble doesn't extend any further like the Charge 5..
What I do is I set X8 Max to Full Frequency Mode. Then use a 5-Band EQ app. Set the EQ app mode to flat first and then set the 3khz slide to -7.0db. That's it. It is no longer ear-piercing, the sound quality is better now. And it is still so loud, crisp and boomy.
In our latest and updated sound test, Bang's loudest preset is Soundpulse at 113 dB on front direction only, while X8 Maxs loudest 112 dB each on front and back. It may be confusing but the driver on each side of X8 Max is 50W and 60W for the Bang, though you will hear the Bang louder at front only, X8 Max's front and rear direction will be enjoyed by many. We will try to be more clear on our loudness test.

From my side I think the tronsmart comes in last in the group. Jbl is Jbl and so is the price but I like the deep bass on the Xmax and the sound separation created by the 360 soundstage.
You own Max? It has indeed smooth deep bass. Though I use EQ to reduce the (mid-hi) 3khz slide to -7.0db. already sounds cool to me. And it is loud enough.
@@jcmante2277 no, what I have is the x8. I don't use the bass mode so partnered it with a poweramp eq so I can alter the freqs that suits me so as not to overpower the bass and highs since what I'm after is clarity with descent highs and lows.
