I once witnessed to a Muslim taxi driver and I believe he misunderstood me when I said God is three in one. Three in one persons...you must be specific ..and I stated he is a covenantal God ..that's how I explained it...however I should have added that the father, son and spirit were three distinct persons in the God head,..you really must sit down and take the time to explain it...I said it in a taxi ride ...moving fast...
I testified to a Muslim food server at Disney during Ramadan one time. He made the comment to me that it was hard working at that resteraunt during Ramadan. I pulled him aside before we left and told him that I thought it was admirable that he was trying to please the god that he thought existed. I then said that your god has low standards and that if his god really did exist he must be perfect and that he should accept nothing less. I then told him that nobody (but One) is perfect or can be perfect on their own. I said that he couldn't ever please the One True God until he was pleasing to God. I said that this pleasing quality is called righteousness and that God gives the gift of righteousness to the one who confesses Jesus Christ as being LORD and believe that God raised Him from the dead. Once a person does that (and the ability to do that by the way is a gift also) they are made righteous, justified and can now for the first time do acts that please God. I told this Muslim that Jesus came to live the perfect righteous life that we could never live and then pay for our transgressions by being punished for us in our place. He now has satisfied God's wrath towards our sin and He extends to us the offer of forgiveness not based on anything in us but everything in Him. This Muslim said he was amazed by my explanation cause he could never really figure out or understand how Jesus fits into the picture.
