Been using LucidSound since 2016. Back then, the LS20, was mostly metal and pretty heavy. But they were super comfortable and the sound quality was top-notch. I have used the LS31, LS41, LS10 and LS15 in the years since, and I don't think any of them are as good as the LS20 were in terms of build quality, sound quality and comfort. The stock pads were also thick and cozy. I got the LS100X because they also work wirelessly on PlayStation. It's also the first brand that I've experienced with the spinning earcups for volume, which the LS20 had 8 years ago and other companies have since started using, and I find the most convenient. A also find the opposite to be true with the stock earpads... I get bass, but less of it than the mids and highs, to the point that everything is kind of tinny or screechy and the mids and lows seem pushed back. Because of this, I usually have the EQ set to Bass Boost just to sound normal or flat. So if the Wicked Cushions change the sound that much, that's a problem that LucidSound needs to fix in the next model.
LETS GO!! Get some wicked cushions! I actually haven’t seen anything about these LucidSound headsets… BUT I’m still waiting patiently for my possible end game headset to come out next month 😬

I have this LS100 set. One thing I didn't hear you mention, or maybe I missed it is they have no memory. Every time I turn them off and on I have to reset volume and chat mix volume. Not a huge deal but an irritant. I love love love the control knobs though. And pushing the earcups for mic/game mute is convenient.

Finally! Think I asked years ago. I bought 2 Lucidsound headsets and loved them until the dongle decided to quit working correctly. Same for both. Only dongle I have ever had an issue with.
The bluetooth mic was even better than the boom mic. That has to be the best mic sound performance I've ever heard from a gaming headset's boomless bluetooth mic (eg. Logitech G435).
The fact the bluetooth is better than the boom is sad. Usually boom miscs sound better than the bluetooth, however they must've messed up somewhere and made it worse.
im curious how you might compare the LS35x and 50x earcups to wicked. i find the LS flagship earcups to be very thick, comfortable, and cooling. But its not like they sell them so i can use them on other headphones. WIcked is a great buy, im using on the steelseries.
Noticed the 100x only sounds great using Qobuz Wasapi Exclusive mode or using EQ like nahimic or creative. On Windows 11, since I can’t adjust what I send to my headphones manually, it’s app dependent. If headphones could just trigger wasapi exclusive when connected, that would be game changer. IMO. I’m no expert on windows 11 audio modes for wireless headphones. The mic quality is clean, google meet conferences.

Unfortunately the LS50X got no official PC Support. With the Dongle it shows up as Xbox Controller and I can't change the Volume and connecting directly via Bluetooth does work but the Headset is always muted under Windows Sounds so you have to unmute it there first.
I am confused on how to disable mic monitoring, I know it is on the button on the right, but when I click it it just mutes my microphone. How do I disable mic monitoring?
I really having a hard time.. I got the barracuda x from 2021 But the volume wheel been acting really weird.. below 80% it’s only sound on the left side which is quiet annoying when you making video’s and streaming sometimes.. the way they fit is really great.. I think it has something to do with the type of headband.. not that “ new type strap headband “.. Bought the Astro a30.. way to firm imo the cushions are also like bricks.. for that insane price.. was a big no The Corsair virtuoso rgb.. really small ear cushions.. me ears were touching the drivers Instant.. also the sound I found to be mweh.. even with EQ tune.. Logitech G735 - looks amazing absolute stunning but the headband material and cushions way to firm.. but damn does it look good.. also the software of Logitech is a pain in the ass with saying the headphone is inactive so u can’t make any adjustments with the ghub without getting that fixed ( Jesus know how ) SteelSeries Arctis 7+ Sounds absolute AMAZING.. but the headband is so tight even when I loose it up.. it’s a weird feeling.. like your head is balancing on a cord but not really resting.. ( weird to explain ) but the cushions and sound damn.. also they are really bulky my head isn’t that big after all haha ! So my question is.. Really great sound Removable mic because have standalone wave 3 from elgato.. Somewhat Deep cushions Nice software Durability need to be good.. also ( not a must but prefer ) be available in white.. just an overall really great wireless headset With a sleek design without being obnoxious big and screaming gamer all over it..

Your about 5 headsets 2 late... They've started to drop off. I still think there ls41 is the best headset out. Unfortunately have to use the hdmi audio extractor on ps5 💩

Nice review! You should give the sound another chance with the stock pads. Different pads can have a huge impact on acoustics.
