This can and has happened on some cars in 2009 due to a feature called Power Assisted Brakes (PAB). Some times PAB malfunctions and causes the breaks to stop completely and even raise the speed. Now with the story: In 2009, PAB malfunctioned and caused the breaks to not work. Trying to hit the breaks only causes the car to speed up. There were 4 people in the car. At some point, someone in that car called 911. They were on the Mission Gorge highway and were very close to an intersection. The driver thought and decided to put the car in a ditch to prevent even more people from suffering injures, or even death. Once hitting the ditch, all four of them died instantly. This happened to more and more cars until someone decided to sue the company of the car for $2.3 BILLION. That car company ended up losing the case and had to pay to the families victims. That car company was, Toyota.

nice vid and all but it’s incredibly unrealistic. at 45mph the bus driver would be trained enough to shift down to a speed where either terrain can slow them down, or police use vehicles/ spike strips to manually bring the vehicle to a stop. bus would also slow down dramatically during those uphill slopes.
anyway i don’t wanna be the guy that always has to post something negative, you do great vids and we all appreciate the hard work that goes into them

Great video, though, the bus naturally slows down, so if the brakes are not working you just need to drive for long enough and slow down

In this scenario you should change the vehicle in neutral and wait for it to lose speed then when its stopped you can turn off the engine
