Aslamalaikum Jee. I want to take a minute to explicate what seems to have caused a little bit of commotion from the podcast. Please keep in mind before I speak on this though, that what has caused the uproar is said on the 12 minute mark of a 3 hour long podcast. A little more listening would do us all well. We can’t get through any of this if we turn on each other.
Now, I’ve spoken to Muzammil bhai a grand total of once, on Clubhouse, where him and I had a disagreement about my podcast’s trajectory. He postulated that the podcast would grow tremendously in the next 24 to 36 months. I was skeptical, I usually am. But after that conversation, every time something difficult would happen in the context of the podcast, my friends and I, on clubhouse, the people who all witnessed that conversation, would remark partially in jest, “just 24 to 36 months Kazi…” that’s the long and short of that exchange between me and irfan bhai in the podcast.
Podcasts are conversations, I’ve tried my hardest to capture them in all their authenticity. That’s all. Nobody is disrespecting anybody here. Believe me, if anyone knows how much Muzammil bhai has done for the TH-cam community it’s us. We will be reverent of that. 😊
Love your work as conversationalist, at the same time love what TBT is doing.

Hey Kazi,
I appreciate that you addressed the issue in your comment. The reason why I felt what I did was because there was a tone of condescendence not just in the seemingly light hearted chuckle but also in the follow up of you having to come to Islamabad for the podcast which I found odd from Irfan. I’ll be honest, it broke my heart considering at such a nascent stage of the podcast industry, seeing two highly educated and smart men who I personally and publicly have always considered a beacon of hope for creating good value driven content in Pakistan, disrespecting another fellow creator specially in front of two young artists. It’s a very basic sense of responsibility towards the community. It’s interesting that you have acknowledged in your comment that you have made some joke about our conversation on clubhouse, and that obviously hurt my sentiments because it does appear as though you are making fun of what I said and my platform. Of course, I do acknowledge that the podcasting format allows for an open discourse which needs to be celebrated but my feelings towards that discourse are also very real and should be acknowledged.
Having said that, I have always rooted for you and will continue to do so. Even if you meant it as a joke, I take your insinuation towards my inferior intellect seriously and would again extend an invitation to join me to educate and empower me whenever you’re in town. I would love to host you and show you around as you’ve never been to Islamabad and as a local, I would love to show you the perfect Islamabadi experience. 😊
Yaar Muzammil bhai the joke was always at my expense (literally) I won’t go in to the details in public. I said it in that clubhouse conversation, I’ll tell you every time you ask me, I hope to God you’re right and my skepticism is unfounded.
As far as coming to Islamabad is concerned. I’ve never been to Punjab. Any of it. I’ve lived in Canada, and Malaysia Allhumdullillah but I’ve never been to Punjab. And there’s a running joke about that as well. That’s what he alluded to when he said what he did about me going for the podcast. Ofcourse I’ll come in sha ALLAH. And Ofcourse I’ll need you to guide me. I’m horrible with directions.
None of this needs to hurt you in the slightest. You can trust irfan bhai and I to be cognisant of what it is that you hope to do. We will not forsake ourselves by taking on any air of superiority. That just isn’t the way.
Also nobody said anything about anyone boasting a greater intellect. Aisa nahe hota Muzammil bhai.

it seems irfan bhai has alot of love for shehzad as a younger brother . you can see how irfan keeps an unconscious quick eye on him every now and then during the entire podcast. shehzad is very lucky to have such a great guy as his mentor and brother .

no offense but didn't really get the point behind laughing when you guys mentioned Muzammil Bhai's podcast, its disappointing how ironic this conversation is when you laughed and then talked about the *podcast industry*, please clarify this stance. and for the record, his efforts to bring in the podcast culture are immense, and he does highly intellectual and informative podcasts, nothing to laugh about i guess.

Kazi, Irfan and Muzzamil have been an integral part of my life. I learn from these everyday and I am thankful for that. That being said it was very disappointing to see Irfan bhai being that condescending to TBT which IMO is the best podcast of the country be it the guest catalogue or the discussions. I have been one if the earliest subscribers of Irfan Junejo and have always supported him even when he was being cancelled coz I love him. He is my fav youtuber but this was very disappointing. I hope he has something to say about him.

Really want to watch this all the way through. Perhaps my headphones are messed up but the volume goes up and down from the different participants quite a lot. Maybe something to consider in future podcasts when you have multiple people speaking from different parts of the studio with a bit of distance from the mics.

See, as a viewer who binge watches intellectual quality content would hate a podcast like this which has nothing to give to its viewers.
TBT is one of the best podcasts and sadly you not being able to know its power.. I feel sorry.
Secondly, this is not even a podcast.. Its a setup of a living room where the sound quality is as bad as it could be.. the lighting is torturing and what not. See what you are trying to compare with (TBT)... This podcast has nothing but absolutely low quality content in every aspect.

And the thing about production quality, Kazi is not even making enough money out of these podcasts but still doing it for the art so that certain Pakistanis can get a nuanced view of issues in Pakistani society.

damn, you really said all this without even digging on what actually happened. Read Kazi bhai's comment, and his clarification to Muzammil bhai's comment. What's the point of listening to so many intellectual podcasts when you can't even behave intellectually. Bashing a relatively small content creator for his equipment and quality (which only comes with time and money) is quite absurd tbh. Try implementing a few things you learn from those "intellectual podcasts". peace.

Disappointed to see all kinds of the assumptions people made even before Kazi bhai got to explain his side of the story.
It was just an inside joke among friends. Hurts to see the discord caused between two of some of the people I respect the most just because of bad timing and circumstance, and how other commenters added fuel to the fire. Really shows the bad side of being famous on social media.
I am US . This was a good idea. I am from Karachi and growing up traveled extensively in Pakistan and have been in US for many years. I can give you some pointers on how to attract more native English speakers by doing very little . Also, I can give you a global perspective about many things which people are often missing.

This was one of the best podcasts that I have ever seen. There's a thin line between a podcast and an interview and you didn't cross that line. I really liked the casual flow and the vibe of the podcast which made it different from an interview. Also, I have never seen Irfan bhai this comfortable in another podcast ( he still was a bit shy but he was really comfortable compared to the other podcasts he's been on). I really liked your humor and the reactions of balaaj just decorated it more. Keep producing stuff like this.

12:05 - There are few intelligent people in Pakistan and a lot of them who laugh at them. Muzamill is an Intelligent individual and it's actually quite funny and ironic how these four dumbos are laughing at him. I've watched Muzamil's Podcast and his TBT is x1000 more interesting, unique and diverse and If i am not wrong this Canada obsessed DF has invited overrated junejo for the third time.

Okay so, if you think that the notion of "podcast being defined as intellectual" is absurd then you don't get to imply that "casual podcasts" are cool. They both have their own space but you get to take away more from "intellectual conversations"
I listen to both of you (the other being muzamil bhai's podcast)at gym, working and while taking a nap. I find his podcast having the same level of entertainment as this but with more information. But this was really ugly coming from you guys.
