Ice Jam at Silver Creek N Y 3 14 15 Drone Video

- On March 14th, 2015, the ice on Silver and Walnut creeks broke apart and started jamming at Silver Creek N.Y. Dozens of volunteers left thier homes and families to do whatever needed to be done and to be on standby in case of flooding. Recorded using a Blade 350 QX3 drone and a Yuneec Q500 drone.
I'm curious to know what the swaying back-and-forth of the crawlers in the water actually does??? I've never seen that action before for flood control.

Robert Hartloff This flood was horrible to me. I used to live 2 houses away from the creek. I hated it. I'm so glad the town is already back in shape after 6 years (Silver Creek)
Robert, thanks for sharing. I remember many a breakup from the late 60' through 80's usually at the mouth of the creeks but a few times from the bridge at the foot of Oak Hill. Never thought I would see it from the vantage point you provided, thank you.

Great video and use of drone to assist. This is what we are trying to have here in Madison County NY as well, great tools if used with in the rules.
Yes it is a great tool. I am also looking at possibly getting one with a thermal imaging camera. They are pricey because of the camera but it may be worth it. Thanks for the comment.

Great Video! There are a number of towns in Vermont that have ice jams every spring. Some years are worse than others. What is the second piece of music?.

Sorry to nitpick, but spelling...

If you want to put your video on TH-cam you should use a better camera not the poor GoPro cam.
You might want to read the description and look up the drones used to know they were not filming on GoPro and those action cameras are still better than lower priced ones.
