- 2nd Video of my IRFCA Convention 2022 trip. In this video I travelled from Hyderabad to Kolkata in a Legendary and the most popular train between the two cities.
This is the first part of the long 1544kms journey

During 1975 to 1981, I used to travel from Secunderabad to Howrah by EAST COAST EXP , train dept at 0615 Secunderabad to Howrah by Steam Engine.
Missing connecting Kamrup Exp . From Howrah to Mariani Jn Assam .
Night halt at Kolkata.
While returning to Secunderabad traveling by Coromandal exp upto Vijaywada and catching Krishna EXP to Secunderabad.
I missed saraighat express recently because of East coast express delay. Looks like East coast express has a long history of being delayed😂😅
Sir falaknuma is my favorite train I mostly. Used to travell b/w vzm to kgp and kgp to vzm

When i see a express train going towards north - i dont see any sleeper class or ac class - whole train becomes general class - i dont understand why the TTE's or RPF dont take any neccessary actions by restricting these kinds of passengers

I like Falaknauma express. I don't understand what happened to the stations between vskp and brahmapur. Why they are sipped?

Was eagerly waiting for this video bhai. Being a resident of Hyderabad and having my hometown in Kolkata , I love travelling in this train most of the times since the past 22 years. Just FYI , the Pagidipalli Guntur stretch has been electrified just recently in late 2019. Before that FALCON(as popular name of this train among railfans) used to get EMDs in this stretch.BTW....nice coverage of the Chilika Lake which is the star attraction of this train journey. Eagerly waiting for the second part of this Journey, which should have the Kuakhai and Kathajori river bridges just before cuttack, the Kharagpur curve, and the Rupnarayan Bridge just before Kolaghat. On a lighter side, have you tried the tomato soup in this train bhai? Its just awesome.

One of my favorite trains...
Have been travelling in this train since 2003 when it used to run end to end behind KZJ alco. At that time it had a Secunderabad departure of 17:40 hrs.
Once because of late running of its pairing train, it was rescheduled by four hours.
The train departed from SC at around 22:00 hrs and reached HWH very late. We missed our connecting train to DHN and had to spend the night at HWH station.
During those days, it used to skip Jajpur road at MPS.

A fun fact. Those who travel from visakhapatnam to guntur, they call "Simhadri express" as "Himsadri express". (Himsa means Violence or Punishment) because it used to never reach on time and it is the slowest between Visakhapatnam and guntur. I used to go to college in that train. Thank you bro for those nostalgic moment.

Bro an humble request could you please explain the bifurcation at Vishakapatnam junction of trains why does maximum trains have loco reversal at Vishakapatnam where as even the trains can go beyond Vishakapatnam where as Vishakapatnam is not like Chennai Central where that's the end and there needs to be a loco reversal for it
Vishakapatanam is like Chennai Central only. It is a dead end station and no trains go beyond it
After dead end it's pirt
The lines go to Vishakhapatnam port so thats why loco needs to be reversed

Golconda takes the Kazipet Junction route so thats why it comes from Vijaywada to go to Guntur
