I am so sorry for your loss. You're correct, thieves have figured out how valuable these designer bags are and how easy it is to make quick money by stealing them. If we, the consumers insist that designers create a tracking system on-line for all countries to use and help return them, then they will do so. However, if we keep buying these bags without having the designers support us, the consumer, then they have no incentive to create it. I feel like for the prices we pay for these bags, they SHOULD HAVE SECURITY FEATURES!!!!!!
10000% agree ! Hermes at some point wanted i think to implement a tracking ship but people refused etc because of private security blabla bla but with our phones we are already tracked lol but yes I am 10000% with you on this point :( we should be able to have this security and people should also be punished for theft … they are not here in France :(
Sorry to hear that you have no resolve of this matter. Its a shame that these things are not taken seriously by authorities when they happen. I am learning that authorities are not really here to help us in our time of need. A missing bag youtube channel would be a good idea too. That would be easy to get up and running 💜
Thank you for your message and support 🫶🏻 indeed … I don’t know how it is in other countries but in France this is definitely not taken seriously even robberies they don’t do anything mostly :( justice is out of game a lot in France 🥹😰 and insurances in France are shit ahah a friend told me in the us insurances are amazing so it’s a good point at least … Good idea for the TH-cam chanel I need to think how it could work ahah or an instagram page maybe I don’t know 🙉
If the event organizers won’t show you the camera footage that tells me it was an inside job. And, I wonder if you can file a claim against the organizers? It was their job to provide a secure space. They must have insurance.
What if we came up with some type of lock mechanism that would not let you open the purse or bag without your actual fingerprint identification? Then people might think twice about stealing bags if there’s no way to even open the bag with that type of high end security. They should have bags like that if you are pay thousands of dollars for the bag.
To ask why is kind of insane. Why wouldn’t a thief want to steal a $10k bag? I think people forget what kind of world we live in. People are desperate and stealing a bag is enticing and easy for a professional thief.

Hey ! It’s the same :) it’s little updates about this stolen bag 🫶🏻🥹unfortunately nothing from the police … I’ll try to fly to Paris to go to the police station because of course we can’t contact them by email or phone…
It was "at the back" of what? What do you mean? The circumstances are confusing and poorly described. Did you have the bag on display at a stall which was not yours? Why? Was your back turned? I have next to no idea what you're talking about in terms of specifics so it's not much of a warning to others. Maybe it's 'don't try to resell your Hermès bag at a public market'? For some context: People have lost entire apartments of belongings in Paris, with no follow-up from the police or very late follow up. You can find examples on TH-cam, one of a woman who was starting her own fashion label, very small and she was robbed by some 16 year old kids wearing balaclavas nobody could see who it was let alone how old they were. It was all under surveillance. Eventually, with persistence the police tracked the kids down, and were charged but she never got her stuff back, nor did her insurance pay out. IDK why she got targeted by crime but it seems that there was corruption within the company that was doing her security surveillance system, which the kids accessed or hacked! So in conclusion, It's either organised crime, or the police are busy dealing with offences to the person (eg. assault, rape, murder etc.), or the police are themselves corrupt. Or a possible combination. So the point seems to be don't try to make money from reselling your bags in a public place. Just live a discrete and low key life and don't flash your wealth. I personally am disinterested in the Constance bag, or flashing the H symbol, and don't expect to ever own a Birkin or a Kelly. To me these items are over-rated. I like them but don't think I would get the value from them and don't want any grief. This may change but for now I'm staying under the radar.
Hey ! Thank you for your message :) yes so many people are getting stolen in paris … and police don’t do anything. If they catch them they get released.
