The zippers are a reference to horse rider wear. Horse country was the whole theme because Hermes started as a saddle maker. Even the sheer pink jackets were reference to hunt wear, the wicker purses were horse feed bags, the girls wore riding boots, the buckles were horse buckles, the set was a stable,and the polka dot silks were jockey silks.

The hunting boots, the jodpor trouser cut, the Edwardian Hunter jacket pinks, the jockey silks, the racing cut to the shoulders of the tanks, the horse show grooming references in the purses and hair plaiting, and of course the completely stable inspired set. Hermes was originally a saddle maker, but I totally see the desert origins since you (voice to text tried to turn "since you" into "sexy", and I find it very appropriate) pointed it out many European horseware traditions were imported from desert cultures. Bravo!
