    I envy your view!!
Do you think a few finger sized sticks of river cane or bamboo could be easily lashed together to form a lightweight frame for this panel when camping? Rather than lashing, one could possibly fabricate some take-down fittings from PVC or EMT (It's what we call the thin walled electrical conduit in the US. Don't know what you fellas call it.) Cut short lengths of EMT, smash one end and pop rivet them together into Tees and Ells and Crosses to allow you to build a square with a few cross members. I think it could be done in a way that was fairly portable. What do you think? Would it still be too flimsy or not worth the effort?

I'm happy stringing a few renogy panels together - with folding panels, ease of packing away is important... Looks good.

are those renogys the flexible ones? been a bit curious about those

I just purchased one of these to go with my voltx M3000 portable power station should work fine hung up on the side of my 2009 ford transit campervan

That will be perfect for it. Have you tested it yet

Looks like it works but I am happy with the smaller 100W folding Allpowers for ease of use. Great for when I had a flat car battery. It will be interesting to see how the folding panels hold up over time with constant use. I grabbed a Kings 110W for $99. It is small also and generally puts out around 100W max so that gets the most use.

It's a monster alright. I do wish there was a way to test longevity but I guess I'll just have to wait longer and find out.

You have to remember that 44 volts is at max power output, the voltage you need to worry about is the open circuit voltage which in this case is 52.8, the panels could easily reach this if the load is minimal as in when your batteries are fully charged.

egg zachery. A lot I test dont get anywhere near that, so I was pleasantly surprised to see this one do it.

Very interesting vid, do you still run the solar panels on top of the Paj? I would be interested to see a brief comparison, even though its really chalk and cheese.

sure do Nigel, the panel on top is either a 350 or 370 I cant recall. I just picked up a new second hand roof rack/cage which is a little longer, so I may be able to fit something bigger up there. a good summer sun roughly over head gets me somewhere around 22A or so . I would hazard a guess and say 12-15A is the average of what I see from that panel on a normal day.

Well damn that IS a big one 😲. prob not a bad thing to pull up on to the roof of the wind up camper (not keen on adding too much weight to the roof), but definitely a bit of a beast to wrangle other wise 🤔

Thats what she said. and yeah on the roof of a camper would be ideal

Thank for the time and effort this shit takes let alone being proper crook lol 😝
