This is my first time watching Sue Bryce teach... absolutely incredible. Every single sentence is pure gold -- I feel like I've learned more about posing in the past half hour than I have in two years of shooting. Just wow.
Best video I´ve ever seen on posing. Sculpture type women you can shoot with camera up side down in total dark and still get good shots. Real challenge comes when you try to shape the image of your every day model. Great great job Sue.
This is a model educational video that should be bookmarked and watched over until learned by any serious portrait or wedding photographer. Sue is an expertin her field & has made a complex subject accessible to those willing to learn. Thanks for that Sue. Much appreciated - CALViN (CoZy GloW PhotographY) - U.K.
~30:30 "We should all be grateful for our arms. Let's make that right clear. If you have arms right now, and you don't like your arms, you need to go and meet somebody without arms to appreciate your fabulous arms." I don't like how my arms look on camera, and this may be temporary, but it puts a lot of frustration towards my own body image into perspective. Thank you for the reminder. It was beautifully said.
I watched for education purposes, and I never expected to cry! When they asked about the brides, and you mentioned brides being allowed to be beautiful, I had flash backs. I hate photographs of me, always. Except my wedding. I felt beautiful and there is not an image from the day that doesn't show it! Thanks for reminding me.
Tina being personal trainer and a fashion photog for my business, there was a lot going on that day and don't want to be a negative Nancy here but we are animals the live in the past in order to navigate the future. What I mean is if we pulled a blood sample on your wedding day it would likely show elevated levels of Cortisol, Testosterone, Estrogen Dopamine, Norepinephrine, Serotonin, Oxytocin, Vasopressin and possibly Adrenaline respectively. These are all hormones in our bodies that make us feel the way we do and at times like your wedding, giving us the emotions we have. Sorry for the spoiler alert! Further, it was and is that you remember this and that you were and still are beautiful because of what you were focused on... not you outer appearance, but the moment. People will say this is irrelevant and has nothing to do with the video. On the contrary! Watch Joe Buissink B&H video Back to Basics: Wedding Photography (th-cam.com/video/00K7pBWOInk/w-d-xo.html) You don't really see Joe in his work stopping a plus model and saying stand like this, pose like that. He captures the moment, the emotions and the feelings. Get prepared to cry or feel the emotions come out! When I have a bad day I watch is super awesome and amazing slideshows and it makes me forget about my worries and makes me feel as if I was actually at each wedding he shot in his images. Watch it Tina and you'll understand why you commented the way you did above! Sue, well ... no comment and I'll leave it as that! But if you want to learn posing, check out Bambi Cantrell's videos! Again I do fashion photography for my business as well as other kinds of photography, but when I first saw it I was like wow she pose them like I do! Big difference!
Thanks for showing lens focal length and discussing. I took a studio lighting course and used my 28mm on my F90. When my instructor saw my results she was very surprised I used the 28mm. I was working in very close to the subject. They were professional models and I guess they made it easier for me to shoot by embellishing on my request. Not rude at all, this is a class and she is giving out great instruction. Thank you!!
Just spotted this video and sat through it. Great explanation and a must watch for anyone who photographs people! Incredible educational video. Thank you Sue!
A proper online tutorial. Well done CreativeLive - I see I am 5 years behind.. Oh well, at least lockdown got me here. Thank you for a great educational video.
This video is excellent!!! I am barely 15 minutes in and I have learned so much more than reading about posing models and other TH-cam videos. This is absolutely fantastic
i love it, i dont speak very well English but i understand all of your comment. i am a photographer and i learn a lot with this video thank you Sue I look forward to another video
I love Sue Bryce. She's an awesome instructor and an amazing photographer who knows how to make a woman feel sensual and beautiful. I learned so much on how to pose curves. Loved it!

+Abegail Merced really? she seems a little mean and impatient. Must be a difference of communication. I would feel like everything I did was wrong if she talked to me like that
Wow, This Is Absolutely Amazing! I'm a Photographer for about 30 years, an I know a lot about posing, but this brings everything on a whole new level! Wonderful, thank You!
Man this is absolutely one of the best tutorials I have seen Posing. Sue Bryce you absolutely rock. Thanks for taking the time to Make this video. I may make this a must watch before any photo shoot that I am going to do for a while. I loved this. Again thanks. A lot of great tips.
beautiful session. learnt alot. thank you Sue Bryce, you are amazing! I see the one and only Ty Bello hi!!! I love your work. now i understand your uniqueness and due diligence to every piece.. welldone!
Such an informative video, also about appreciating any shape, which is rather refreshing to see, considering the focus on skinny models in the media. Also good advice for anyone posing for photos, be it professionally or just for fun. Some of those poses look really awkward, but they work on the actual photo!
I completely agree!!! and ya know what? I actually say that to my models sometimes when I know that they think the pose is COMPLETELY weird, I tell them "you're gonna feel weird and awkward but that's normal and I promise it comes out good!" and that usually makes them relax and move more into the pose because now they know that the awkwardness they were feeling is actually "normal".
This is absolutely fantastic! Wow, I've been focusing way too much on trying to get the camera and light sides done, when good posing can do so much... Can't wait to get home and try these out!
Beautiful photographer. 100% familiar with the female body and know what makes the most economic in the photos. Excellent teach, it was fun to see and hear the way photography captures the tiniest details as well. I'm not a model photographer, amateur photos as I make another shall rise. Nevertheless, I felt I had to look through the educational film. Many thanks to him. I looked at a photo collection too, great shots.
im happy that i came across this video. I work with all size women and its hard to get great shots with them feeling comfortable with the ending results.
Fantastic video! This woman knows all about posing; how to look cute, mysterious, beautiful. A L L ! I'have been looking for a video like this one for a long time.
I really have no interest in fashion, modeling, photography or the like, but I found this video fascinating. It really is extraordinary what a difference Sue's application of technique makes. She has a very impressive mastery of her art.
Шикарно) приятный преподаватель и модель приятная девушка.Все ясно и понятно без лишнего.Давно искала такое видео для себя,теперь мои фото будут мне нравится.Спасибо!
I don't like using Photoshop to shape a figure. I like to show that any body shape can be beautiful without computer shaping. Of course, I come from the days of film when we didn't have a reliance on computers. I use Photoshop to adjust color and lighting; adjust backgrounds; and to remove unwanted objects.
This is just so awesome, cos hay in the real world, not all girls/ladies are just skinny, and its not always the + size, but beautiful women have awesome curves, you know child birth is hard to shake, so this is such an inspiration, to show us how to deal with the real world, so thank you very much for this, Sue you rock!!!

Everytime Sue poses, she performs like a million poses in 10 seconds! Just wow!!!
I got a million new seated poses in the last 60 seconds of this...... WUT. Bow down to Sue Bryce!
not only I wish I was present in her workshops and classes, I now wish she was my MODEL! You're a genius photographer and a gorgeous model, Sue
YOU are the wizard of portrait photography! Seriously!
